The 36 Phantasmal Flames secret rares run from No. 95 to No. 130: 13 Art Rares, 17 Ultra Rares, 5 Special Art Rares and one top Secret Rare. Limitless TCG uses its own rarity words: Art Rare is the Illustration Rare tier, Special Art Rare is the Special Illustration Rare tier and the top Secret Rare is the Mega Hyper Rare.

34 of the 36 English secret rares pair with an M2 print. Paldean Wooper (No. 102) and Meowth (No. 106) are marked “not verified”: Limitless lists no M2 print for them, and their Japanese source is not established here. Of the 36 Japanese entries numbered 081–116, M2 083 and M2 111 have no English partner in this table. M2 111 is Oricorio ex in SAR; the English list has no Special Art Rare Oricorio ex, and its English secret Oricorio ex is the Ultra Rare at No. 110, paired with M2 095.

No pair is recorded as the same artwork; the matches rest on the card name and the rarity tier. The “Ours” column shows the PSA 10 rows we list for these Japanese prints. A back order is sourced to order, and the product page shows the current terms.

The Japanese Set Behind Phantasmal Flames

Bulbapedia’s list of Japanese expansions (as of September 15, 2026) pairs Phantasmal Flames with Inferno X (M2); it also names the MEGA Starter Sets Mega Gengar ex and Mega Diancie ex as sources, and both cards sit in the English main set at No. 56 and No. 41. That pairing is Bulbapedia’s, not an official Pokemon statement, and the card-level matches come from Limitless TCG. The Starter Set attribution is not verified against an official page.

Mega Charizard X ex — M2 116/080 MUR = English 130/094

The top-rarity card in each set. Limitless TCG pairs English 130/094 (Secret Rare, the Mega Hyper Rare) with M2 116/080. Our listing: PSA 10 back order ¥314,568 (~$2,043). The Special Art Rare, M2 110/080 = English 125/094: PSA 10 back order ¥112,404 (~$730). The Secret Rare tier print, M2 094 = English 109: PSA 10 back order ¥8,433 (~$55).

Dawn — M2 106 and M2 115

Limitless pairs English Dawn 118 (Ultra Rare) with M2 106 and English Dawn 129 (Special Art Rare) with M2 115/080, illustrated by Atsushi Furusawa. Our listings: M2 106, PSA 10 back order ¥6,790 (~$44); M2 115, PSA 10 back order ¥7,589 (~$49).

The Trainer and Energy secret rares in the pictures — English 116–124 = M2 101–109

Limitless pairs English Battle Cage 116 with M2 108 (Battle Colosseum in Japanese), Firebreather 119 with M2 107, Grimsley’s Move 120 with M2 105 and Ignition Energy 124 with M2 109. The Japanese SR-tier Trainer and Special Energy cards are numbered 101–109 and the English Ultra Rare ones 116–124, in a different order.

Oricorio ex, Rotom ex, Mega Sharpedo ex and Mega Lopunny ex

Of the four remaining Japanese SAR prints, three have English counterparts: English 126 Rotom ex = M2 112, English 127 Mega Sharpedo ex = M2 113 and English 128 Mega Lopunny ex = M2 114; Oricorio ex M2 111 has no English Special Art Rare. Our listings: Oricorio ex (M2 111), PSA 10 back order ¥9,282 (~$60); Rotom ex (M2 112), PSA 10 back order ¥5,997 (~$39); Mega Sharpedo ex (M2 113), PSA 10 back order ¥4,688 (~$30); Mega Lopunny ex (M2 114), PSA 10 back order ¥5,131 (~$33). The Phantasmal Flames chase cards guide covers the wider chase list.

Numbering: English Run vs Japanese Set Code

The English checklist is one numbered run: No. 1–94 is the main set and No. 95–130 continues past the set size, so the top card prints as 130/094. The Japanese cards keep their own set code, M2, with numbers over a /080 base, and the secret range is 081–116. A Japanese print is identified by the set code plus number, for example M2 116/080.

The two runs do not line up card for card. English Battle Cage is No. 116 and its Japanese print is M2 108; English Firebreather is No. 119 and M2 107; English Switch is No. 123 and M2 102; English Blowtorch is No. 117 and M2 101. The English main set is 94 cards against the Japanese base of 80, and the pairings cover the secret range only: main-set cards No. 1–94 are not matched to M2 001–080 here.

When you order Japanese cards, use the Japanese set code and number; when you cross-reference an English card, use the tables above and check the card image.

Phantasmal Flames Card List FAQ

How many cards are in the Phantasmal Flames card list?

Limitless TCG lists 130 Phantasmal Flames cards: 94 in the main set (No. 1–94) and 36 secret rares (No. 95–130). The official set page says “over 120 cards” rather than an exact figure, so the exact count of 130 comes from Limitless TCG’s list.

How many secret rares are in Phantasmal Flames?

There are 36 secret rares, No. 95–130, by Limitless TCG’s labels: 13 Art Rares, 17 Ultra Rares, 5 Special Art Rares and one top Secret Rare, Mega Charizard X ex 130/094. Limitless calls the top card a Secret Rare; it is the Mega Hyper Rare tier.

When did Phantasmal Flames release in English and in Japan?

Phantasmal Flames released in English on November 14, 2025. The Japanese set behind it, Inferno X (M2), released on September 26, 2025 at ¥180 per five-card pack, per Bulbapedia. The Japanese set therefore came out about seven weeks before the English one.

Which Japanese set is behind Phantasmal Flames?

Inferno X (M2) is the Japanese set behind Phantasmal Flames. The card-level matches come from Limitless TCG’s card pages as printed on September 30, 2026: 34 of the 36 secret rares have an M2 print, and Mega Charizard X ex 130/094 matches the M2 116/080 MUR.

Are Japanese and English Phantasmal Flames cards numbered the same?

No. English cards run 1–130 in one sequence, with secret rares from No. 95. Japanese cards use the code M2 and numbers over a /080 base, so the secret range is 081–116. English Battle Cage is No. 116, and its Japanese print is M2 108.

Which Phantasmal Flames secret rares have no Japanese M2 match?

Paldean Wooper (No. 102) and Meowth (No. 106), both Art Rares, have no M2 print per Limitless TCG, so their Japanese source is not verified. In the other direction, the Japanese Oricorio ex SAR (M2 111) has no Special Art Rare counterpart in the English list.

Where can I buy the Japanese Phantasmal Flames cards?

We ship Japanese M2 cards from Tokyo. The box is listed with a No Shrink option at ¥12,668 (~$82), its Sealed option is sold out at the time of this update, and PSA 10 rows are shown in the secret rares table. Sourcing requests for a specific card go through Quick Order.
