What “Damaged Box” Means
Across our Damaged Box listings generally, the term describes the outer cardboard, not the cards inside. Our Damaged Box listings (the SV2A page reads) define it this way: “Sealed with shrink wrap intact. This box is unopened and still sealed in its original shrink wrap. It is discounted because of cosmetic damage to the outer box (e.g., dents or scratches). The cards inside are unaffected.” A Grade A listing specifically covers “minor cosmetic damage to the outer box, such as small dents or scuffs,” with the original shrink wrap present.
Our own review of Damaged Box pricing across sets found that the label is not a fixed discount: across six regular-vs-Damaged Box pairs checked live, only one was priced identically and five showed the Damaged Box costing more, not less. M2 shows the same pattern: the Damaged Box is priced above No Shrink, and the Sealed option is sold out at the time of this update — see the table below. Our Damaged Box listings (the SV2A page reads) explain the underlying reason plainly: “we buy large volumes of Japanese trading cards every day, and naturally some of the boxes we take in have dents, scratches, or other damage,” and rather than sell them as mint-condition stock, they go out at a reduced price instead.

M2 Inferno X at a Glance

At the time of this update, the pattern on M2 is straightforward: the Damaged Box sits above No Shrink, and the Sealed option is sold out. If your priority is the lowest price and you don’t mind the box arriving without its shrink film, No Shrink is the cheaper option here — not Damaged. If you specifically want the shrink wrap intact and are comfortable with cosmetic box damage, Damaged Box gives you that; the Sealed option is sold out at the time of this update.
For comparison, “No Shrink” as a listing convention is ours, not an official Pokemon term: on our S12A VSTAR Universe listing, it’s defined as “the box is sold without its outer shrink-wrap film. The Chase Cards Inside
Mega Charizard X ex is the set’s headline card, appearing four times — base RR 013/080 plus three secret-tier prints: SR 094/080, SAR 110/080 and MUR 116/080, confirmed against the official database. The set’s other named chase cards are Dawn at SR 106/080 and SAR 115/080, and Ignition Energy (イグニッションエネルギー) at SR 109/080 — the set’s one Special Energy printed at Super Rare.
