Raikou ex 024/076 (Storm Emeralda, M6) Pokemon Card Guide

The Raikou ex Storm Emeralda card is ライコウex, number 024/076 in the Japanese set M6 “Storm Emeralda”: a Basic Pokémon ex with 200 HP, illustrated by aky CG Works. It is the regular-numbered print of a card that also has two secret-numbered versions, 092/076 and 108/076, all sharing one set of rules text. This guide reads that text in plain English, shows how the three prints differ, and says what we do and do not list.

We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. USD figures convert at ¥154/USD and are approximate. Card data comes from the official Japanese card database on pokemon-card.com, as printed on October 29, 2026; rarity letters are given only where our own published guide or store listing states them.

Key Takeaways
  • Raikou ex 024/076 is a Basic ex with HP 200, credited to aky CG Works; the set is M6 Storm Emeralda, released Friday, July 31, 2026. Our Legendary Beasts guide labels it RR.
  • Its first attack can be used even on the first player’s first turn and attaches an Energy card from your deck to it; its second attack deals 200 and carries a coin-flip drawback.
  • The two secret-numbered prints, 092/076 (aky CG Works) and 108/076 (Oku), carry the same rules text.
  • Storm Emeralda is available from us as a booster box; we do not list a Raikou ex single.

Raikou ex 024/076 at a Glance

The official database lists the card under the name ライコウex (the lower-case ex is the spelling on this card; the Black & White era Raikou EX in BW4 is written with capitals). Here are the fields that matter when you are identifying or ordering it.

Some details are icons on the card rather than text and are best read from the card or the official database page: the Energy symbols in each attack’s cost, the weakness type (the value is ×2; resistance is none) and the retreat cost. We do not state those icons here. For the wider Raikou family, our Entei, Raikou & Suicune card value guide covers the Legendary Beasts across eras.

What the Printed Text Says

Raikou ex has no Ability. It has two attacks and the ex rule. The table below gives our English rendering of the official Japanese text (rendering); the English names are our own wording, not official names.

Printed name English wording What it does
いかずちをまとう Cloaked in Lightning This attack can be used even on the first player’s first turn. Choose 1 Energy card from your deck and attach it to this Pokémon, then shuffle your deck.
パワーラッシュ200 Power Rush, 200 Deals 200 damage. Flip a coin; if tails, this Pokémon cannot use attacks during your next turn.
ポケモンex rule Pokémon ex rule When a Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

A few plain-language notes. The first attack deals no damage as printed; it is a setup attack whose effect is to put one Energy card from the deck onto Raikou ex. The line about the first player’s first turn is part of the card text, so it is a rule-level feature of this particular card. We do not generalise it to other cards in the set.

The second attack is the damage dealer. The coin flip decides whether Raikou ex can attack on your following turn: heads, and nothing changes; tails, and the attack is unavailable during your next turn. Because the Energy cost is not in the text we hold, we do not say how many Energy it needs; the card or the database page shows it.

The ex rule is the rule-box line printed on this card: a Knock Out gives the opponent 2 Prize cards. That is a rules fact, not a judgement about the card; we make no claim here about how the card performs in play.

The Three Raikou ex Prints in Storm Emeralda

The official database holds three Raikou ex entries from M6. All three have HP 200 and the same two attacks. The difference is the number and the artwork: 024/076 is a regular-numbered card, while 092/076 and 108/076 carry numbers above the set’s printed count of 076, which is how the database marks secret or special-numbered prints. The database does not print their rarity letters, so we do not name them here; our companion guide, Raikou ex 108/076 and 092/076, goes through the secret prints.

Number Illustrator HP Rules text
024/076 aky CG Works 200 Same two attacks and ex rule
092/076 aky CG Works 200 Same two attacks and ex rule
108/076 Oku 200 Same two attacks and ex rule

The two prints credited to aky CG Works are 024 and 092. Oku is credited on 108. Placing the official images side by side shows the difference.

Raikou ex M6 108/076, illustrated by Oku
Raikou ex 108/076, M6 “Storm Emeralda”, illustrator Oku (official database image)

Because the game text is identical, the choice between the three is about artwork and number, not rules. If you are collecting by illustrator, the table above is the whole decision: two aky CG Works prints and one Oku print.

The Storm Emeralda Booster Box

Raikou ex is one card in a set that also contains Mega Rayquaza ex — our listings name M6 113/076 and 110/076 prints of it — and the complete set breakdown is in our Storm Emeralda complete guide. The sealed route to a Raikou ex is the booster box, which we list in two variations, Sealed and No Shrink.

A booster box is a purchase of packs. It is not a purchase of a particular Raikou ex, and we do not state what any box will contain. The listing page M6 card list shows the set’s cards, and our box-versus-singles guide sets out the decision between buying a box and sourcing a single.

Raikou ex Next to Other Raikou Cards

Raikou has been printed under several rule boxes. The comparison below uses the official database entries; the effect summaries are likewise our rendering of the printed Japanese text.

Card HP Rule box Text in brief Illustrator
Raikou ex, M6 024/076 200 Pokémon ex: 2 Prize cards Attach an Energy from the deck; 200 damage with a coin-flip drawback aky CG Works
Raikou V, S12a 038/172 200 Pokémon V: 2 Prize cards Ability to draw 1 card once per turn while in the Active Spot; attack scales with Benched Pokémon on both sides PLANETA Mochizuki
Raikou EX, BW4 025/069 170 Pokémon EX: 2 Prize cards Coin-flip Paralysis attack; a 100-damage attack that discards all Energy shizurow
Raikou, M6a 162/103 110 None One attack, 120 damage plus 120 to a Benched Pokémon Hideki Ishikawa

The plain Raikou in M6a does not carry a rule box; the Prize-card rule for each card type is on the official rules page. The card number tells you the era: 024/076 is the 2026 ex, 038/172 is the VSTAR Universe V, 025/069 is the Dark Rush EX. Our guides on Raikou V PSA 10 and on the Raikou 162/103 Classic Collection reprint take the other two modern cards in detail.

Collectors who compare against English cards search for the set name Delta Reign. We do not carry English card numbers for the Raikou ex in this guide, and the Japanese prints above are the ones the database lists.

Reading the Japanese Text Yourself

A handful of words recur on almost every Japanese card. Learning them lets you check a card against the database in a minute. All of the words below appear in the Raikou ex text above.

Japanese Meaning Where it appears on Raikou ex
たね Basic Pokémon Stage line
ワザ Attack Heading above the two attacks
特別なルール Special rules The ex Knock Out rule
サイド Prize cards “2 Prize cards” in the ex rule
山札 Deck First attack: choose from the deck, then shuffle
エネルギー Energy First attack
コイン / ウラ Coin / tails Second attack
先攻プレイヤー First player First attack’s first-turn clause
弱点 / 抵抗力 / にげる Weakness / resistance / retreat Bottom row of the card

For the basics of how a turn works, see our beginner play guide. If you are new to Japanese cards, check the number, the set code and the illustrator credit first; the text second.

What We Can and Cannot Say About This Card

Single-card guides tend to drift into claims the data does not support. This one is limited to what the official database and our own published guide state. The table separates the two.

Two practical points follow. First, the ex rule line printed on this card says the opponent takes 2 Prize cards when it is Knocked Out; the general Prize-card rule for this card type is on the official rules page. Second, because the database page for 024/076 is public, you can confirm every field in the first table yourself. Search the card on pokemon-card.com by name and set, and compare the number, the HP and the illustrator credit with what you are holding or being offered.

When you request a Raikou ex from us through Quick Order, a message that works well names the set code and the full number: “Raikou ex 024/076, M6”, or “Raikou ex 108/076, M6” if you want the Oku print. Say whether you want the card raw or graded. A request that says only “Raikou ex” could mean any of the three M6 prints, or the Black & White era Raikou EX 025/069, which is a different card with HP 170.

Where to Buy Storm Emeralda and Raikou Cards

We do not list a Raikou ex 024/076 single on October 29, 2026. Sourcing requests for a specific card go through Quick Order; the product page shows the current terms for anything we list. What we currently list around this card:

Set checklists are on the M6 card list and the card list hub.

On October 29, 2026 fan sites reported a Japanese trademark filing for 「イナズマの衝撃」 (working English translation: Lightning Impact; no official English name exists), which collectors read as a possible Raikou set; nothing is announced. Our Lightning Impact trademark guide explains what is confirmed and what is not, and the ex★ 2027 trademark round-up covers all four marks.
