A Suicune Pokemon card (スイクン) from the M2, MC and SVM set codes comes in three prints in the official Japanese card database on pokemon-card.com, as printed on October 29, 2026: M2 026/080 credited to Takeshi Nakamura, and MC 174/742 and SVM 031/175, both credited to Kuroimori. One of them, MC 174/742, belongs to the MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection family, a 60-card starter product with an official price of ¥891.
This guide puts the three prints side by side: numbers, illustrators, HP, the card text rendered into English, and what the starter-deck context does and does not tell you. Every statement about the cards comes from the official database or from the official product pages; where a detail is not stated in our sources, we say so instead of filling the gap. USD figures for our listings convert at ¥154/USD and are approximate.
- The database lists three Suicune prints in these set codes: M2 026/080 (Takeshi Nakamura, HP 130), MC 174/742 and SVM 031/175 (both Kuroimori, HP 120).
- MC 174/742 and SVM 031/175 carry identical printed card text and the same illustrator credit; the M2 print has a different attack and a different illustrator.
- MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection released on Friday, December 19, 2025 at an official price of ¥891; our sealed listing is currently ¥1,097 (~$7).
The Three Suicune Prints at a Glance
The official database lists three entries for スイクン in the M2, MC and SVM set codes. All three are Basic Pokemon printed with the Pokedex line “No.245” and the category オーロラポケモン (Aurora Pokemon, rendering). The database page prints no rarity letter for any of them, so this guide does not name one.
| Illustrator | HP | Database card ID | Release of the set | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| スイクン M2 026/080 | Takeshi Nakamura | 130 | 48366 | Friday, September 26, 2025 (as given in our Suicune guide) |
| スイクン MC 174/742 | Kuroimori | 120 | 48890 | Friday, December 19, 2025 (official product page for MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection) |
| スイクン SVM 031/175 | Kuroimori | 120 | 46485 | Friday, November 22, 2024 (the official スタートデッキ Generations page, code svm) |
Two details stand out before any card text is read. First, the same illustrator credit, Kuroimori, sits on two different set codes. Second, the denominators differ widely: 080 for M2, 742 for MC and 175 for SVM. The MC denominator belongs to a starter product whose official base numbering runs 001 to 742, which is why a card numbered 174 is an ordinary base number there rather than a secret-numbered print.
None of our current Suicune listings is one of these three prints. The Suicune cards we do list are different cards and are shown in a separate section below.
M2 026/080: Takeshi Nakamura’s Suicune

The M2 print is a Basic Pokemon with HP 130 and a single attack, クリスタルフォール (Crystal Fall, rendering). It does 30 damage, and if you have 4 or more Energy in play on your side, it adds 90 more damage. The database lists no ability for this card. In the database text, Weakness reads ×2 (the type is shown as an icon) and Resistance shows none; the retreat cost is shown as icons and is not stated here.
Takeshi Nakamura is the illustrator credit in the database entry. Our Suicune Japanese cards guide records the M2 print as released on Friday, September 26, 2025 and carries the wider Suicune history; this article keeps to the three prints above.
This article covers the Suicune only. For the rest of the M2 set, browse our M2 card list.
MC 174/742: The Kuroimori Print in Start Deck 100

The database files this print under MC, the set code of MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection. It is a Basic Pokemon with HP 120 and two attacks. かけぬける (Dash Through, rendering) does 30 damage and also 30 damage to 1 of the opponent’s Benched Pokemon; the Bench damage does not apply weakness or resistance. オーロラビーム (Aurora Beam, rendering) does 100 damage with no added effect.
Because the product is sold as a random one-of-100 deck, a sealed copy cannot be chosen by contents: the official page says each deck is one of 「全100種類」 (100 kinds) and the buyer receives one of them. Which of the 100 decks carries the Suicune is not stated in the sources we use, so this article does not name a deck number.
SVM 031/175: Same Illustrator, Same Card Text

The SVM print has the same HP 120, the same two attacks and the same attack numbers as MC 174/742, and the same illustrator credit, Kuroimori. SVM is the code of the official スタートデッキ Generations page, a starter product released on Friday, November 22, 2024 per our set research.
Identical text and an identical credit show that the two prints are the same design on paper. They do not by themselves prove that the artwork is identical, because a credit and a text block are not the image; compare the two card images above if the artwork matters to you. The database gives MC 174/742 the card ID 48890 and SVM 031/175 the card ID 46485, so they are separate entries.
The same attacks and the same illustrator also appear on a promo print, SV-P 194/SV-P. That card has its own guide: Suicune SV-P 194 Promo Card Guide.

| Deck | 1 deck of 60 cards per product |

| Accessories | A damage counter and marker sheet only |
| To play | 「対戦には2つ以上のデッキが必要です。」 (two or more decks are needed for a match) |

The official 2025-12-19 notice says additional production will continue according to sales; our sources do not give a quantity or a schedule, so we make no statement about supply. Our deeper product guides are Start Deck 100 Battle Collection, MEGA Start Deck 100 regular vs White Box and MEGA Premium Trainer Box vs Start Deck 100.
The official price is ¥891 and our listing is ¥1,097 (~$7); the two figures are separate facts, one from the manufacturer and one from our store. The sealed deck is a random draw, so buy it as a starter deck rather than as a way to obtain the Suicune.
Card Text Side by Side
The table below renders the official Japanese card text of each print into English. Attack names in parentheses are renderings, not official English names.
| Stage and HP | Attack one | Attack two | |
|---|---|---|---|
| M2 026/080 | Basic, HP 130 | クリスタルフォール (Crystal Fall): 30 damage, plus 90 if you have 4 or more Energy in play | None printed |
| MC 174/742 | Basic, HP 120 | かけぬける (Dash Through): 30 damage, and 30 to 1 Benched opponent’s Pokemon, ignoring weakness and resistance | オーロラビーム (Aurora Beam): 100 damage |
| SVM 031/175 | Basic, HP 120 | かけぬける (Dash Through): 30 damage, and 30 to 1 Benched opponent’s Pokemon, ignoring weakness and resistance | オーロラビーム (Aurora Beam): 100 damage |
The rule text is specific to each card. In the database text, Weakness reads ×2 (the type is shown as an icon) and Resistance shows none on all three; the retreat cost is shown as icons and is not stated here. If you compare the cards for play, the official rulebook and the card in hand are the authority.
The Same Attack Pattern on Entei, Raikou and Suicune
The M2 Suicune is one of three beast cards in the database that share one attack structure: 30 damage, plus 90 more if you have 4 or more Energy in play. The other two are Entei and Raikou, each in a different set code and credited to a different illustrator.
| Karte | Attack (rendering) | HP | Illustrator |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entei M2a 020/193 | フレアフォール (Flare Fall): 30 damage, plus 90 with 4 or more Energy in play | 140 | Kazumasa Yasukuni |
| Raikou M1S 030/063 | エレキフォール (Electric Fall): 30 damage, plus 90 with 4 or more Energy in play | 120 | Takumi Wada |
| Suicune M2 026/080 | クリスタルフォール (Crystal Fall): 30 damage, plus 90 with 4 or more Energy in play | 130 | Takeshi Nakamura |
The comparison is limited to the database text. It says nothing about how the cards perform in play, and it does not connect the three cards to any upcoming product. For the Entei side, see our Entei cards guide; for the full trio, see the Entei, Raikou and Suicune guide.
How to Tell Which Suicune You Hold
Read the number printed at the bottom of the card and the illustrator credit. This table maps what you see to the print.
| What the card shows | Print it points to |
|---|---|
| 026/080, attack クリスタルフォール | M2, Takeshi Nakamura |
| 174/742, attacks かけぬける and オーロラビーム | MC, MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection family, Kuroimori |
| 031/175, attacks かけぬける and オーロラビーム | SVM, Kuroimori |
| 194/SV-P, same attacks as 174/742 | A promo print, covered in its own guide |
| A V, GX or ex in the name | A different card; see the next section |
The attack names let you separate the M2 print from the other two even when the number is worn. The two Kuroimori prints with the same attacks need the number and the set symbol to tell apart.
Starter Deck or Single: Choosing a Route
The right route depends on what you want from the Suicune. The table compares the options using only what the official pages and our listings state.
| If you want | Route | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| A ready-to-play 60-card deck | Sealed MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection | One of 100 kinds, chosen at random; a second deck is needed for a match; at least two Pokemon ex are always included |
| The MC 174/742 print specifically | A sourcing request through Quick Order | We do not list it as a single; the product page for any listing shows the current terms |
| The M2 026/080 or SVM 031/175 print specifically | A sourcing request through Quick Order | Neither is among our current Suicune listings |
| A graded Suicune from another set | A PSA 10 back order listed in the section above | Different cards, sourced to order |
If the artwork is what you are after, start from the card image rather than the set: the Kuroimori design appears under two set codes with identical text, so you can pick the numbering and release context that suits your collection. If you are building a deck to play, the sealed starter is the official starting point, and the official how-to-play pages recommend a deck of exactly 60 cards, which this product provides. For a first-time player who wants more than a single starter, our beginner guide to playing Pokemon cards and the best Japanese sets for beginners explain the next steps.
Other Suicune Cards We List (Different Prints)
The other Suicune cards we list are different cards from the three above, shown here only so the names are not confused. Each is offered as a PSA 10 back order — sourced to order; each product page shows the current terms.
| Listing (as named by us) | Our price |
|---|---|
| PSA10 Suicune V SAR [s12a 215/172] (High Class Pack “VSTAR Universe”) | PSA 10 back order at ¥18,620 (~$121) |
| PSA10 Suicune GX RR [SM8 028/095] (Expansion Pack “Super-Burst Impact”) | PSA 10 back order at ¥10,499 (~$68) |
| PSA10 Suicune GX SR [SM8 098/095] (Expansion Pack “Super-Burst Impact”) | PSA 10 back order at ¥33,786 (~$219) |
| PSA10 Suicune ex [CLK 010/032] (Pokemon Card Game Classic) | PSA 10 back order at ¥8,999 (~$58) |
| PSA10 Suicune : Old Back [neo3 No.245] (Pokemon Card neo “Awakening Legends”) | PSA 10 back order at ¥252,606 (~$1,640) |
The letters V SAR, GX RR, GX SR and ex in those names are the rarity and card-type labels as our listing names carry them. The official database does not print rarity letters, which is why the three prints in this article carry none.
Where These Prints Meet the Suicune Trademark Story
On October 29, 2026 premium.gamepedia.jp and PokeGuardian reported a Japanese trademark filing for 「オーロラの波紋」, which collectors read as a possible Suicune set; nothing is announced. Our Aurora Ripples trademark guide (working English translation of オーロラの波紋; no official English name exists) explains what is confirmed and what is not, and the round-up of the 2027 ex★ trademarks puts the four reported names in one place.
Where to Buy Suicune Cards and the Start Deck from Japan
The sealed starter product is MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection at ¥1,097 (~$7), a random one-of-100 deck. We also list a White Box version of the product at ¥38,570 (~$250); the regular-versus-White-Box guide linked above explains the difference.
For graded Suicune, the Suicune V SAR is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥18,620 (~$121) and the Suicune GX RR at ¥10,499 (~$68), both sourced to order. Browse the M2 card list or the wider Japanese card list hub. Sourcing requests for a specific print we do not list go through Schnellbestellung.
Häufig gestellte Fragen
How many Suicune prints are in the M2, MC and SVM set codes?
Three, as printed in the official database on October 29, 2026: M2 026/080 credited to Takeshi Nakamura, and MC 174/742 and SVM 031/175, both credited to Kuroimori.
Is Suicune MC 174/742 the same card as SVM 031/175?
They have the same HP 120, the same two attacks, かけぬける and オーロラビーム, and the same illustrator credit, Kuroimori, but they are separate database entries with different set codes and numbers. A credit and a text block do not prove identical artwork, so compare the images.
What does the Suicune M2 026/080 do?
It is a Basic Pokemon with HP 130 and one attack, クリスタルフォール (rendering: Crystal Fall), for 30 damage plus 90 more if you have 4 or more Energy in play. The database lists no ability for it.
What is MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection?
An official 60-card starter product released on Friday, December 19, 2025 at ¥891, sold as one of 100 kinds at random with at least two Pokemon ex always included. Two or more decks are needed for a match.
Can I choose which deck I get in MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection?
No. The official page describes the product as one of 100 kinds, and the buyer receives one of them. The sources behind this article do not say which deck number includes the Suicune.
Do you list the Suicune M2, MC or SVM prints as singles?
Not as of October 29, 2026. Our current Suicune listings are the V SAR, two GX cards, the Classic ex and an old-back card, all PSA 10 back orders. Sourcing requests for a specific print go through Quick Order.
