The card carries an Ability, Roar of the Sword (けんのほうこう). The database text reads: once during your turn you may search your deck for an Energy card and attach it to one of your Pokémon, then shuffle your deck — and if you use this Ability, your turn ends.
Its single attack is Storm Slash (ストームスラッシュ), costing three Colorless Energy for a base 60 damage, plus 30 more damage for each Energy attached to Zacian V itself. The standard V rule applies as well: when your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards rather than one. The database’s evolution panel for the page lists Zacian VSTAR above this card, with Zacian V as the highlighted entry — that panel is the database’s card-family listing, not a statement that Zacian VSTAR is itself an S8a card.

30th CELEBRATION (M6a), released on September 16, 2026, carries two Zacian cards of its own: a Zacian V at 161/103 in its Classic Collection block, credited to 5ban Graphics and reported to reproduce the Sword & Shield-era print rather than this 2021 anniversary card, and a regular Zacian at 085/103 in the main set, a Metal-type Basic with 130 HP whose attacks are Hardened Blade and Slashing Strike. Against both, S8a 018/028 is a Pokémon V with 220 HP and a Psychic type, and it is the only one of the three that carries Roar of the Sword.
