Mega Rayquaza Pokemon Card Guide: Every Printing & Price (2026)

Mega Rayquaza Pokemon Card Guide: Every Printing & Price (2026)

A Mega Rayquaza Pokemon card can mean any of 13 Japanese rows in the official card database — nine from the XY era and four from Storm Emeralda (M6) — plus the English prints from Roaring Skies, Ancient Origins and Celebrations.

Which print you hold is set by the card number and the set mark in the corner, not by the artwork alone, and the lowest SNKRDUNK ask for each Japanese print is dated October 5, 2026 in the table below. Asks are what sellers are asking, not prices paid. English prints get a price only where an English-version SNKRDUNK listing exists, and that is the case for one print.

Key Takeaway

Among the Storm Emeralda cards, the M6 MUR 113/076 has the highest ask, ¥43,000 (~$279) raw and ¥222,222 (~$1,443) as a PSA 10 on October 5, 2026, and our PSA 10 for it is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥206,455 (~$1,341) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms (see how PSA 10 back orders work). Among the XY-era prints the Emerald Break 086/078 SR has the highest ask, ¥150,000 (~$974) raw. Card number and set mark are what separate one print from another.

Every Mega Rayquaza Pokemon Card Print and Its Current Ask

The official Japanese database lists 13 Mega Rayquaza rows: nine XY-era M Rayquaza-EX rows and four M6 Mega Rayquaza ex rows. Rows below also include the English Celebrations print, because it has a dated English-version ask. A raw ask is the lowest across all conditions; “no PSA 10 listing seen” means SNKRDUNK shows no PSA 10 ask for that print. A 1st Edition is a separate SNKRDUNK product from the plain print, so the plain print is shown here.

M Rayquaza-EX (English) 76/108 Celebrations (Classic Collection) — ¥5,000 (~$32) ¥45,555 (~$296) —

The Roaring Skies 76/108 and 105/108 and the Ancient Origins 98/98 have no dated ask: SNKRDUNK shows no English-version listing for them on October 5, 2026. The Celebrations row is the listing named “76/108 English version, Celebrations”; the listing does not print the words “Classic Collection”, and pokemon.com prints that card as Celebrations: Classic Collection 76. The 272/XY-P promo has no SNKRDUNK match.

Two patterns stand out in the Japanese rows. The M6 MUR 113/076 asks ¥43,000 raw but ¥222,222 as a PSA 10, a wider gap than any other Storm Emeralda card; the M6 SR 095/076 has no PSA 10 ask at all on October 5, 2026. And the 2015 Emerald Break SR 086/078 and Bandit Ring UR 095/081 sit at ¥150,000 and ¥85,000 raw, above the M6 SAR at ¥24,000.

The 2015 Originals: Emerald Break, Bandit Ring and Roaring Skies

Mega Rayquaza started in Japan: the Emerald Break set (XY6) came out on 2015-03-14, the same day as the Mega Battle Deck 60 “Mega Rayquaza EX” (the 006/018 card in the table), and the Bandit Ring set followed on 2015-06-20. The English Roaring Skies set, released May 06, 2015 per pokemon.com, is where Mega Rayquaza started for English-language players. The 2015 Japanese rows are all by 5ban Graphics; the Emerald Break and Bandit Ring rows carry the “Emerald Break” attack, while the deck card 006/018 has 230 HP and a different attack.

In Emerald Break, the official database lists the M Rayquaza-EX as 062/078 (RR) and 086/078 (SR); in Bandit Ring it lists 095/081 (UR), the print with the “Θ Max” ability. A 1st Edition of each exists as its own SNKRDUNK product, with its own ask: ¥6,500 (~$42) raw for 062/078, ¥268,000 (~$1,740) for 086/078 and ¥150,000 (~$974) for 095/081 on October 5, 2026. Our PSA 10 for the 1st Edition 095/081 is a separate product, listed at ¥432,723 (~$2,810) and offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥428,521 (~$2,783).

On pokemon.com the 76/108 is printed Rare Holo EX, with 220 HP, the “Emerald Break” attack and 5ban Graphics as illustrator. The 105/108 full art is printed Ultra Rare, also by 5ban Graphics. If your card has artwork running edge to edge with no white border, it is the 105/108.

Check This First

Look at the bottom-right corner. 76/108 and 105/108 look similar at a glance in a binder, and the Celebrations reprint also reads 76. The number and the set symbol together tell you which print you hold.

M Rayquaza-EX 98/98: The Ancient Origins Print

M Rayquaza EX 98/98 Ancient Origins English card
M Rayquaza-EX 98/98, Ancient Origins (XY7)

Ancient Origins (XY7) was released on August 12, 2015 per pokemon.com, and its M Rayquaza-EX 98/98 is covered in depth in our shiny Mega Rayquaza cards guide. pokemon.com prints it Rare Holo, not secret rare, with 220 HP, the “Θ Max” ability, the “Emerald Break” attack and 5ban Graphics as illustrator.

The Japanese print with the same ability is the Bandit Ring UR 095/081 (matched on ability and illustrator; no official page states the pairing). SNKRDUNK shows no English-version listing for the 98/98 on October 5, 2026, so it has no dated ask here. For the shiny cards themselves, see our shiny Mega Rayquaza cards guide; for graded Rayquaza singles, our best Rayquaza cards page collects the PSA 10 options.

The 2021 Reprints: Celebrations vs Japan’s 25th ANNIVERSARY edition Promo

2021 brought Mega Rayquaza back for the Pokemon Trading Card Game’s 25th anniversary — twice, in two languages: Celebrations on October 08, 2021 (English, per pokemon.com) and the Japanese 25th ANNIVERSARY edition promo pack with the 2021-10-22 products.

Print Language Format Raw ask
Celebrations: Classic Collection 76 English Celebrations set ¥5,000 (~$32)
S8a-P 024/025 Japanese Promo card pack ¥7,800 (~$51)

The English card is the Roaring Skies 76/108 artwork under the Celebrations: Classic Collection label; pokemon.com prints it as number 76, by 5ban Graphics, with no rarity text. Its ask is the listing described under the table above.

The Japanese 024/025 is not from the 25th Anniversary Collection booster. Its card page prints set mark S8a-P and the product line “プロモカードパック 25th ANNIVERSARY edition”. The official 25th site describes that pack as holding one reproduced older card at random, says the cards cannot be used in official tournaments, and says the pack came one per 25th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION special set (¥1,188, 2021-10-22) and five per 25th ANNIVERSARY GOLDEN BOX. A separate booster, 25th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION (S8a), has 28 different cards, per the official 25th site. Our PSA 10 for 024/025 is listed at ¥21,828 (~$142) and offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥21,408 (~$139).

Mega Rayquaza ex Card (M6 MUR/SAR): The 2026 Return in Storm Emeralda

Mega Rayquaza headlined the Japanese MEGA era’s Storm Emeralda set, released July 31, 2026. The official database lists the set as 110 cards with the denominator /076 on every row, up to 113/076, and four of them are Mega Rayquaza ex: 058/076 RR (takuyoa), 095/076 SR (5ban Graphics), 110/076 SAR (Kazuki Minami) and 113/076 MUR (takuyoa). The sealed product is the Storm Emeralda booster box (Sealed) at ¥10,544 (~$68).

The SR 095/076 asks ¥2,300 (~$15) raw, with no PSA 10 listing seen on October 5, 2026, and the 058/076 RR sits at SNKRDUNK’s ¥1,000 (~$6) floor. Mega Rayquaza Prints by Lowest Ask

Grouped by the raw SNKRDUNK ask on October 5, 2026, from the table above:

  • Up to ¥3,500 (~$23) — M6 058/076 RR (¥1,000 floor), M6 095/076 SR (¥2,300) and the XYD 006/018 deck card (¥3,500).
  • ¥5,000 to ¥10,000 — English Celebrations 76 (¥5,000), XY 105/171 (¥7,000), the 024/025 promo (¥7,800), XY 020/048 (¥9,800) and Emerald Break 062/078 (¥10,000).
  • ¥16,000 to ¥24,000 — CP4 097/131 (¥16,000) and the M6 SAR 110/076 (¥24,000).
  • ¥43,000 (~$279) — the M6 MUR 113/076.
  • ¥85,000 to ¥150,000 — Bandit Ring UR 095/081 (¥85,000) and Emerald Break SR 086/078 (¥150,000).
How to Read These Asks

An ask is one seller’s lowest asking price, and SNKRDUNK prints ¥1,000 as a display floor on many low-priced cards, so a ¥1,000 raw figure is not a market price. Compare the number printed on your card with the table before you compare asks.

Japanese and English Mega Rayquaza Prints Compared

The Japanese and English prints differ in four dated, checkable ways:

  1. Release order. Emerald Break (Japan, 2015-03-14) and Bandit Ring (Japan, 2015-06-20) both came before Ancient Origins (English, August 12, 2015); Roaring Skies (English) followed Emerald Break on May 06, 2015.
  2. Rarity labels. The Japanese database prints RR, SR and UR for the XY-era set rows and nothing for the deck, reprint-pack and promo rows. pokemon.com prints Rare Holo EX, Ultra Rare and Rare Holo for the English Roaring Skies and Ancient Origins prints.
  3. Distribution. The 024/025 is a promo-pack card that cannot be used in official tournaments, and it is one of the reproduced older cards in that pack; the English Celebrations print belongs to a regular set.
  4. Asks. On October 5, 2026 the Japanese 024/025 asks ¥7,800 raw against ¥5,000 for the English Celebrations 76/108, and ¥22,000 against ¥45,555 as a PSA 10. The two are different listings, so the figures show each print’s own ask, not a premium.

Japanese and English prints carry their own set marks and numbers, which is why the number in the corner matters. For the broader comparison, see our Japanese vs English Pokemon cards guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Mega Rayquaza card has the highest ask?

On October 5, 2026 the highest raw SNKRDUNK ask in our table is the Emerald Break M Rayquaza-EX 086/078 SR at ¥150,000. Among Storm Emeralda cards the Mega Rayquaza ex MUR 113/076 leads, asking ¥43,000 raw and ¥222,222 as a PSA 10. These are asking prices, not sales.

How many Mega Rayquaza cards are there?

The official Japanese card database lists 13 Mega Rayquaza rows: nine XY-era M Rayquaza-EX and four Storm Emeralda Mega Rayquaza ex. English prints on pokemon.com include Roaring Skies 76/108 and 105/108, Ancient Origins 98/98 and Celebrations: Classic Collection 76, so no single count covers every language.

What is the difference between M Rayquaza EX 76/108 in Roaring Skies and Celebrations?

pokemon.com prints the Roaring Skies card as 76/108 Rare Holo EX, released May 06, 2015, and the Celebrations card as Classic Collection 76, released October 08, 2021, with no rarity text. Both are by 5ban Graphics. The only dated ask here is the Celebrations listing, ¥5,000 raw on October 5, 2026.

Is the Roaring Skies full art (105/108) different from the regular 76/108?

Yes. pokemon.com prints the 105/108 as Ultra Rare and the 76/108 as Rare Holo EX, both illustrated by 5ban Graphics. The full art has edge-to-edge artwork with no white border. SNKRDUNK shows no English-version listing for either on October 5, 2026, so neither has a dated ask.

Is the Ancient Origins 98/98 a secret rare?

No. pokemon.com prints the M Rayquaza-EX 98/98 from Ancient Origins as Rare Holo, released August 12, 2015, with the “Θ Max” ability and 5ban Graphics as illustrator. Our shiny Mega Rayquaza guide covers the shiny cards in detail; the Roaring Skies prints are separate cards.

What is the Mega Rayquaza 024/025 card?

It is a Japanese promo card from the 25th ANNIVERSARY edition promo pack, set mark S8a-P, not from the 25th Anniversary Collection booster. The pack holds one reproduced older card, and its cards cannot be used in official tournaments. Its lowest SNKRDUNK ask on October 5, 2026 is ¥7,800 raw.

Which Mega Rayquaza ex cards are in Storm Emeralda?

The official database lists four: 058/076 RR, 095/076 SR, 110/076 SAR and 113/076 MUR. The set was released July 31, 2026. On October 5, 2026 their raw asks were ¥1,000 (the SNKRDUNK floor), ¥2,300, ¥24,000 and ¥43,000, and the MUR and SAR have PSA 10 asks.
