M6a “30th CELEBRATION” puts Pikachu ex in a pack twice — once for daytime, once for night — and gives each one its own Special Art Rare slot. A cheaper Double Rare version of each sits lower in the set’s main /103 run.
M6a released in Japan on September 16, 2026, at ¥360 per pack (¥7,200 for a 20-pack box). The official card list for M6a was published September 9, 2026, which confirmed the two Double Rare Pikachu ex cards, 047/103 and 048/103, in the official card database — including, for the first time, which number carries which theme. This guide lays out what is now confirmed about Pikachu ex 126/103 (Day SAR), 127/103 (Night SAR), 047/103 and 048/103 (RR), what is still compiled-only, and how their pre-release price predictions compare to the release-day asks now trading on SNKRDUNK and to Pikachu cards already on the graded market.
Pikachu ex gets four cards in M6a: SAR 126/103 (Day) and SAR 127/103 (Night), both compiled/shown but still not in the official database, plus RR 047/103 (Day, illustrator 5ban Graphics) and RR 048/103 (Night, illustrator takuyoa), both officially listed. Pre-release predictions put each SAR near ¥100,000 (~$629); release-day SNKRDUNK asks were much lower — ¥11,000 for 126 (Day) and ¥13,000 for 127 (Night), September 16, 2026. The M6a Booster Box (Japanese) is currently listed as a pre-order at ¥25,000 (Sealed); the No Shrink option is sold out at the time of this update. Our currently listed graded Pikachu singles, including PSA10 Pikachu ex 234/193 SAR (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) at ¥45,885 (~$298), give a real-market reference point now that M6a has released.
- M6a 30th CELEBRATION released September 16, 2026, alongside the Premium Deck Set and FUTURISTIC BOX.
- All 32 secret rares (104–135), including SAR 126 (Day) and SAR 127 (Night), have now been seen — the block is still not in the official card database.
- Release-day SNKRDUNK asks (September 16, 2026): Pikachu ex SAR 126 (Day) ¥11,000; SAR 127 (Night) ¥13,000 — both well below the ~¥100,000 pre-release prediction.
- Store state: M6a Booster Box Sealed ¥25,000 listed, No Shrink sold out; PSA10 Pikachu 205/172 AR sold out at the time of this update; PSA10 Pikachu ex 132/106 SAR listed at ¥82,908 (~$538).
- Full card list: every card of the set with its official image, in number order — 30th CELEBRATION (M6a) card list (all 173 cards).
- Confirmed: the five secret rares that had never been pictured — Kommo-o AR 119, Ditto AR 121, Mewtwo ex SAR 128, Mew ex SAR 129, Gengar ex SAR 131 — surfaced at exactly the numbers PokeBeach had projected, with release-day listings (SNKRDUNK, September 16, 2026); the compiled 165-card structure held.
- Confirmed: the “RGB Mew” — three secret Mew cards (R/RGB, G/RGB, B/RGB, by YOSHIROTTEN, outside the /103 run) were pulled from early-opened products and surfaced in a Pokémon TCG Live update on September 15, per PokeBeach; not in any official list, pull rate unknown.
- Overshot: pre-release forecasts of ¥105,000+ for Mew ex FUR met a lowest release-day ask of ¥22,222 on SNKRDUNK (an asking price, not a sold price).
Prices are converted at ¥154/USD for September 16, 2026 figures (¥159/USD for figures carried over from this article’s original publication) unless a live listing is quoted, in which case its own conversion is used. The predictions below are attributed to snkrdunk (Aug 29, 2026) and predate the September 16, 2026 release; release-day SNKRDUNK asks are given separately where available.
The Day/Night Concept Behind 126 and 127
M6a’s official product page runs a themed block called “a day in the lives of Pokemon,” showing cards illustrated at different times of day — Pikachu ex appears twice in that block, alongside Lycanroc, Hisuian Zorua, Umbreon and Scraggy. Two Pikachu ex illustrations sit in that section: one described by Japanese aggregator snkrdunk as a daytime scene under a blue sky with a confetti-filled parade of Pokemon, and one described as a nighttime scene with fireworks and a gathering that includes Eevee, Umbreon and Gengar. Those descriptions come from an aggregator, not the official page text, so treat them as reported rather than confirmed.
What is confirmed by the numbering: 126/103 carries the Day artwork and 127/103 carries the Night artwork, both at Special Art Rare (SAR). Both are credited to illustrator kantaro per aggregator site TCGScreener — the official card database does not list illustrator names for AR/SAR cards, so that credit remains reported, not official. Separately, the official card database (published September 9, 2026) does credit illustrators for the regular-art RR pair: 047/103 “day” to 5ban Graphics and 048/103 “night” to takuyoa — see the RR section below for what that resolves.
Only the Night card (127) has a harvested official image at the time of writing; no official image of 126 has surfaced in our source set, so nothing below shows the Day card directly. These two SARs are separate from the set’s other Pikachu subset — the 30 individually-illustrated Pikachu chase cards, all now listed in the official database, covered in our 30 Pikachu illustrators card list. For the full M6a rarity roadmap, our 30th anniversary cards guide is the starting point.
Pikachu ex SAR 126 (Day): Attacks and Status
Card text for the Day version, per PokeBeach’s translation of the corresponding official RR card (047/103, Pikachu ex “day”), which the SAR 126 art shares:
| Attack | Effect |
|---|---|
| Pika-Pika Parade | Search your deck for any number of Basic Pokemon and put them onto your Bench. |
| Thunderbolt (200 damage) | Discard all Energy attached to this Pokemon. |
HP is 190, Basic Pokemon, Weakness Fighting ×2, Retreat 1, per PokeBeach’s translation of the official card (047/103). No official image of the SAR (126) itself is currently available to us, and SAR 126 is still not listed in the official card database — only the regular-art RR version (047/103) is, as of September 16, 2026. We don’t carry an individual single for 126 yet; SNKRDUNK’s release-day asks for both SARs appear in the price-predictions section below.
The English-set equivalent is numbered 149/128, referenced by PokeBeach’s August 16, 2026 report that TPCi officially revealed the Day/Night SIR pair together — useful only as a cross-reference, since Samurai Sword Tokyo deals in the Japanese printing.
Pikachu ex SAR 127 (Night): Attacks and Status

Card text for the Night version, per PokeBeach’s translation of the corresponding official RR card (048/103, Pikachu ex “night”), which the SAR 127 art shares:
| Attack | Effect |
|---|---|
| Zip-Zap Frenzy | Attach any number of Basic Energy cards from your hand to your Pokemon in any way you like. |
| Thunder (200 damage) | This Pokemon also does 30 damage to itself. |
HP is 190, Basic Pokemon, Weakness Fighting ×2, Retreat 1, per PokeBeach’s translation of the official card (048/103). As with 126, the SAR (127) illustrator credit (kantaro) is aggregator-reported rather than official; the regular-art RR (048/103) illustrator, takuyoa, is official per the card database. English number for the SAR is 150/128.
The RR Pair: 047 (Day) and 048 (Night)

M6a includes two Double Rare (RR) Pikachu ex cards — both now listed in the official card database, published September 9, 2026: 047/103 “day”, illustrated by 5ban Graphics, and 048/103 “night”, illustrated by takuyoa. These are the regular-art versions of the same two attack sets carried by the SARs above — 047 shares 126’s Pika-Pika Parade / Thunderbolt kit, and 048 shares 127’s Zip-Zap Frenzy / Thunder kit.
This resolves what was previously unconfirmed: earlier reporting could not say which RR number matched which theme. The official database numbering settles it — 047 is Day, 048 is Night — and it lines up with the SAR pairing (126 Day / 127 Night) already established by the numbering.
Unofficial prediction sources current sources have reviewed do not itemize a separate figure for the RR pair; treat any RR-specific number you see elsewhere as unverified until a dated, attributed source is available.
Where These Cards Sit in M6a’s Secret-Rare Numbering
M6a’s base set runs 001–103 (all now in the official card database), with secret-rare numbering continuing past that. As of September 16, 2026: AR (Art Rare) runs 104–123 (20 cards, all now seen — the last two, 119 Kommo-o and 121 Ditto, surfaced with release-day marketplace listings), SAR (Special Art Rare) runs 124–133 (10 cards, the ten Pokemon ex; the Pikachu ex Day/Night pair covered here sits at 126 and 127; all 10 now seen — the last three, 128 Mewtwo ex, 129 Mew ex and 131 Gengar ex, also surfaced with release-day listings), Futuristic Rare (FUR) is 134–135 (Mewtwo ex and Mew ex), and Classic Collection reprints run 136–165 (30 cards, 29 already in the official database plus 152 as the second half of a two-card LEGEND entry). None of 104–135 is in the official card database itself — all 32 have now been compiled from official promotional images, PokeBeach’s September 9, 2026 full-list article and release-day marketplace listings, but the block remains outside the database entries.
That places the two Pikachu ex SARs in their own ten-card SAR block alongside the other nine Pokemon ex, separate from the AR run and the FUR pair — and separate again from the RR tier, which carries the two officially-numbered cards, 047 and 048, discussed above. All 32 secret rares in the 104–135 block have now been seen, with the last five (Kommo-o AR, Ditto AR, Mewtwo ex SAR, Mew ex SAR and Gengar ex SAR) surfacing via release-day marketplace listings on SNKRDUNK, September 16, 2026 — the block itself is still outside the official card database.
Currently Listed PSA10 Pikachu Cards
Now that M6a has released, graded Pikachu cards from earlier Japanese sets remain a useful real-market anchor alongside the new SAR release-day asks (see the price-predictions section below) for what a graded Pikachu card actually trades for once a set has fully released and the population report has caught up.
Graded, fully-released SAR/AR Pikachu singles from earlier Japanese sets have historically traded in the tens of thousands of yen — our own Pikachu 205/172 AR (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) is sold out at the time of this update, but M6a’s own SAR pair opened far lower on release day: SNKRDUNK’s lowest asks were ¥11,000 for 126 (Day) and ¥13,000 for 127 (Night), September 16, 2026, well under the ~¥100,000 pre-release prediction. For a full breakdown of how Japanese rarity tiers like SAR, AR and RR affect grading demand, see our rarity guide for graded buyers.
Unofficial Price Predictions for 126, 127, 047 and 048
The Pokemon Company has not published pull rates or prices for any of M6a’s secret-rare slots; the only quantities confirmed on the official product page are one Pikachu-illustrator card and one basic Energy card guaranteed per pack — neither of which is the Pikachu ex SAR or RR covered here. Everything in the table below is a market prediction from a Japanese card-price aggregator, current as of August 29, 2026, not a sale — see the release-day SNKRDUNK asks below the table for what these cards were asking for by launch.
| Card | Rarity | Unofficial market prediction | Unofficial buyback prediction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pikachu ex 126/103 (Day) | SAR | ¥100,000– (~$629+) | ¥70,000 (~$440) |
| Pikachu ex 127/103 (Night) | SAR | ¥100,000– (~$629+) | ¥70,000 (~$440) |
| Pikachu ex 047/103 & 048/103 (RR) | RR | ¥500– (~$3+) | — |
By release day, real figures replaced those predictions for the SAR pair. SNKRDUNK’s lowest asking price on September 16, 2026 was ¥11,000 for Pikachu ex 126 (Day) and ¥13,000 for Pikachu ex 127 (Night) — both well under the ~¥100,000 pre-release prediction quoted above. These are live seller asks, not completed sales, and no comparable dated figure exists yet for the RR pair (047/103, 048/103).
Separate from these per-card predictions, one real, dated figure now exists for the sealed box these cards are pulled from: on SNKRDUNK the lowest asking price for a sealed M6a box fell from ¥47,200 on September 1 to ¥28,200 on September 10 and ¥17,500 on release day, September 16, 2026 (99+ listings) — still about 2.4× the ¥7,200 MSRP, as release-day listings multiplied. That figure is a live seller ask for the sealed box, not a per-card sale for the SAR or RR pulls covered here.
Read the per-card predictions above as unofficial, dated estimates rather than settled prices — they were published nearly three weeks before release, using pre-order chatter and comparable prior sets, and the release-day SNKRDUNK asks above show how far a market can move by the time real listings appear. Our own complete guide to M6a’s worldwide release covers the set’s other rarity tiers, including FUR and the historic reprint block, for the full picture.
