30th CELEBRATION (M6a) gives Pikachu two main-set ex cards instead of one — Pikachu ex 047/103 (day) and Pikachu ex 048/103 (night), each with its own attacks and its own illustrator. Both sit outside the 30-card Pikachu holo subset (017–046) and outside the set’s headline FUR chase cards; they’re standard RR-tier Pokemon ex, the same tier as the set’s other eight ex cards.
30th CELEBRATION released on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, worldwide. Both cards have Special Art Rare counterparts at 126 and 127.
Pikachu ex 047/103 (day, 5ban Graphics) and 048/103 (night, takuyoa) are both HP190 Basic Lightning-type ex cards in 30th CELEBRATION’s main set. Their Special Art Rare versions are 126 (day) and 127 (night); their EN numbers are 053 and 054.

Pikachu ex 047/103 and 048/103: The Day and Night Pair
30th CELEBRATION’s main set carries ten Pokemon ex cards at RR rarity, and two of them are Pikachu — a structural choice tied to the set’s day-and-night theme. 047/103 is the “day” print, illustrated by 5ban Graphics; 048/103 is the “night” print, illustrated by takuyoa. As of release day, both are confirmed in the official card database (pokemon-card.com) with their JP name, ピカチュウex, listed for each.

Neither card is part of the 30-illustrator Pikachu holo subset that runs 017–046 — that subset is regular Pikachu, one per pack, with its own numbering. 047 and 048 are Pikachu ex, a separate and higher-rarity card type, and each has its own Special Art Rare version further up the set’s secret-rare block.
Card Details: Attacks, HP and Weakness
| Attribute | 047/103 (day) | 048/103 (night) |
|---|---|---|
| Illustrator | 5ban Graphics | takuyoa |
| Type | Lightning | Lightning |
| HP | 190 | 190 |
| Stage | Basic | Basic |
| Weakness | Fighting (×2) | Fighting (×2) |
| Retreat | 1 | 1 |
Per PokeBeach’s translation of the official database entries:
047/103 Pikachu ex (day): [C] Pika-Pika Parade — search your deck for any number of Basic Pokemon and put them onto your Bench, then shuffle your deck. [L][L][C] Thunderbolt — 200 damage; discard all Energy from this Pokemon.
048/103 Pikachu ex (night): [L] Zip-Zap Frenzy — attach any number of Basic Energy cards from your hand to your Pokemon in any way you like. [L][L][C] Thunder — 200 damage; this Pokemon also does 30 damage to itself.
Both carry the standard Pokemon ex rule: when either is Knocked Out, the opponent takes 2 Prize cards instead of 1. The day print is the bench-building support option; the night print’s first attack, Zip-Zap Frenzy, attaches Basic Energy from hand with no downside, while its second attack, Thunder, is the one that does 30 damage to itself.
The SAR Versions: 126 and 127
Both 047 and 048 have Special Art Rare counterparts higher up in the set’s compiled secret-rare block: 126/103 is the SAR of 047 (day), and 127/103 is the SAR of 048 (night). The card text and stat line are identical to the regular prints — only the artwork, border and rarity tier change. As of release day, AR and SAR illustrators are unpublished for this set (the two FUR cards, the Basic Energy and the FUTURISTIC BOX are officially by YOSHIROTTEN), so no illustrator is credited for 126 or 127 themselves.
As with every AR/SAR/FUR card in this set, we’re not embedding SAR artwork here — the images show the regular 047 and 048 prints. For the full breakdown of both SAR numbers side by side, see our Pikachu ex SAR day/night guide.
English Numbering and the UPC Promos
Per compiled EN–JP numbering checklists, JP 047 (day) maps to EN 053 and JP 048 (night) maps to EN 054 in the English 30th Celebration set. We don’t sell English 30th Celebration product — these numbers are given only to help cross-reference a card between the two languages.
Both Pikachu ex also headline a pair of English-exclusive products: per PokeBeach’s June 30, 2026 product-lineup article, the Ultra-Premium Collections releasing November 6, 2026 pair “Pikachu ex day + Espeon ex” and “Pikachu ex night + Umbreon ex,” each at $179.99 MSRP with 29 30th Celebration booster packs and one Classic Collection booster pack. Per compiled checklists, the promo numbers are 107 (Pikachu ex day) and 109 (Pikachu ex night); the Espeon ex and Umbreon ex UPC promo numbers are not confirmed in our sources. These are English promo cards inside an English product — not something we list.
Release-Day Asks for the SAR Pair
Japanese market sites’ pre-release forecast (September 9, 2026) for the Pikachu ex SAR pair was ¥70,000–95,000. The lowest release-day asks on SNKRDUNK were ¥11,000 for 126 (day, 43 listings) and ¥13,000 for 127 (night, 50 listings). Both were seller asking prices, not sale records.
The regular RR prints, 047 and 048 themselves, have no dated marketplace figure — SNKRDUNK’s release-day data covers the SAR tier and the set’s highest-profile secret rares, not every main-set ex card individually.
Where 047 and 048 Sit in the Full Set
30th CELEBRATION’s official card list covers the main set 001–103 (including 047 and 048), the Classic Collection 136–165 and the eight Basic Energy. The AR/SAR/FUR block, 104–135, is compiled from official images and PokeBeach’s list; all 32 secret rares had been seen by release day — the last five surfaced with release-day listings on SNKRDUNK — but the block was still not in the official card database as of that date.
| Block | Numbers | Count |
|---|---|---|
| Main set (incl. 047 and 048) | 001–103 | 103 |
| AR (Art Rare) | 104–123 | 20 |
| SAR (Special Art Rare, incl. 126, 127) | 124–133 | 10 |
| FUR (Futuristic Rare) | 134–135 | 2 |
| Classic Collection | 136–165 | 30 |
Total: 165 numbered cards plus eight Basic Energy (173 in all; PokeBeach’s headline figure is 176). For every ex card and its secret-rare counterpart across the set, see our complete ex card list; for how the numbering blocks fit together generally, see our secret-rare numbering guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are Pikachu ex 047 and 048 in 30th Celebration?
They’re the set’s two main-set Pikachu ex cards — 047/103 is the “day” print by 5ban Graphics, 048/103 is the “night” print by takuyoa. Both are HP190 Basic Lightning-type ex cards, separate from the 30-illustrator regular Pikachu subset (017–046).
What’s the difference between the day and night Pikachu ex attacks?
047 (day) uses Pika-Pika Parade to bench any number of Basic Pokemon, then Thunderbolt for 200 damage while discarding all its Energy. 048 (night) uses Zip-Zap Frenzy to attach Basic Energy from hand freely, then Thunder for 200 damage plus 30 damage to itself.
What are the SAR versions of these two cards?
126/103 is the Special Art Rare of 047 (day) and 127/103 is the SAR of 048 (night). Card text and stats match the regular prints exactly; only the artwork and rarity tier change, and SAR illustrators are unpublished.
Are Pikachu ex 047 and 048 available in English 30th Celebration products?
Not directly as English packs from us — we sell the Japanese set. What are the release-day asking prices for the Pikachu ex SAR pair?
Pre-release forecasts (September 9, 2026) had put the pair at ¥70,000–95,000; the lowest release-day asks on SNKRDUNK were ¥11,000 for 126 (day) and ¥13,000 for 127 (night). The regular RR prints, 047 and 048, have no dated marketplace figure.
