Pikachu ex 047 and 048: The Day and Night Pair
30th CELEBRATION’s main set carries ten Pokemon ex cards at RR rarity, and two of them are Pikachu — a structural choice tied to the set’s day-and-night theme. 047/103 is the “day” print, illustrated by 5ban Graphics; 048/103 is the “night” print, illustrated by takuyoa. Both are confirmed in the official card database (pokemon-card.com) with their JP name, ピカチュウex, listed for each.
Neither card is part of the 30-illustrator Pikachu holo subset that runs 017–046 — that subset is regular Pikachu, one per pack, with its own numbering. 047 and 048 are Pikachu ex, a separate and higher-rarity card type, and each has its own Special Art Rare version further up the set’s secret-rare block.

047/103 Pikachu ex (day): [C] Pika-Pika Parade — search your deck for any number of Basic Pokemon and put them onto your Bench, then shuffle your deck. [L][L][C] Thunderbolt — 200 damage; discard all Energy from this Pokemon.
048/103 Pikachu ex (night): [L] Zip-Zap Frenzy — attach any number of Basic Energy cards from your hand to your Pokemon in any way you like. [L][L][C] Thunder — 200 damage; this Pokemon also does 30 damage to itself.
Both carry the standard Pokemon ex rule: when either is Knocked Out, the opponent takes 2 Prize cards instead of 1. The day print is the bench-building support option; the night print’s first attack, Zip-Zap Frenzy, attaches Basic Energy from hand with no downside, while its second attack, Thunder, is the one that does 30 damage to itself.
The SAR Versions: 126 and 127
Both 047 and 048 have Special Art Rare counterparts higher up in the set’s compiled secret-rare block: 126/103 is the SAR of 047 (day), and 127/103 is the SAR of 048 (night). The card text and stat line are identical to the regular prints — only the artwork, border and rarity tier change. AR and SAR illustrators are unpublished for this set (the two FUR cards, the Basic Energy and the FUTURISTIC BOX are officially by YOSHIROTTEN), so no illustrator is credited for 126 or 127 themselves.

English Numbering and the UPC Promos
Per compiled EN–JP numbering checklists, JP 047 (day) maps to EN 053 and JP 048 (night) maps to EN 054 in the English 30th Celebration set. We don’t sell English 30th Celebration product — these numbers are given only to help cross-reference a card between the two languages.
Both Pikachu ex also headline a pair of English-exclusive products: per PokeBeach’s June 30, 2026 product-lineup article, the Ultra-Premium Collections releasing November 6, 2026 pair “Pikachu ex day + Espeon ex” and “Pikachu ex night + Umbreon ex,” each at $179.99 MSRP with 29 30th Celebration booster packs and one Classic Collection booster pack. Per compiled checklists, the promo numbers are 107 (Pikachu ex day) and 109 (Pikachu ex night); the Espeon ex and Umbreon ex UPC promo numbers are not confirmed in our sources. These are English promo cards inside an English product — not something we list.
Market: Release-Day Asks for the SAR Pair
Japanese market sites forecast ¥70,000–95,000 for the Pikachu ex SAR pair before release (September 9, 2026). The lowest release-day asks on SNKRDUNK told a different story: ¥11,000 for 126 (day, 43 listings) and ¥13,000 for 127 (night, 50 listings) on September 16, 2026. Both are seller asking prices, not sale records, and both are volatile on release day.
The regular RR prints, 047 and 048 themselves, have no dated marketplace figure in this update — SNKRDUNK’s release-day data covers the SAR tier and the set’s highest-profile secret rares, not every main-set ex card individually.
