Before 30th CELEBRATION: The 2026 MEGA Sets
The Japanese Pokemon Card Game information page lists three MEGA expansions earlier in 2026. Ninja Spinner (M4) released on March 13, 2026 and Abyss Eye (M5) on May 22, 2026. Storm Emerald (M6) released on July 31, 2026, together with the Starter Set ex ×3.

The Announcements: June to September 9
On June 30, 2026 the official pokemon.com product showcase presented the English 30th CELEBRATION lineup. Per that showcase, an English booster pack holds 5 foil cards, including one of the 30 Pikachu, plus 1 foil Basic Energy.
On August 3, 2026 Pokemon Center Online published its rules for the 30th-anniversary lotteries. The notice lists the M6a box at ¥7,200, the Premium Deck Set Espeon and Umbreon at ¥6,200, the FUTURISTIC BOX at ¥27,500 and the nine-type Card Set at ¥10,800 (each Card Set is ¥1,200), all tax included. Entries for the box, deck set and FUTURISTIC BOX ran from August 10, 12:00 to August 14, 16:59, with results on August 21 and shipping planned by September 15. Card Set entries ran from August 28 to August 31, with results on September 4 and shipping planned by October 15. The notice states that entries are one per person per lottery, that the draw is not first come first served, and that the right to buy cannot be transferred to a third party.
On September 9, 2026 the Japanese Pokemon Card Game site published the 30th CELEBRATION card reveal.
September 16, 2026: Release Day
September 16, 2026 is the release date on both official sites. In Japan, the expansion pack 30th CELEBRATION (M6a) released at ¥360 per pack with 6 foil cards, a Basic Energy guaranteed and a YOSHIROTTEN design. The same day saw the Premium Deck Set Espeon and Umbreon (¥6,200) and the FUTURISTIC BOX (¥27,500, Pokemon Center Online only) released in Japan. Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo also posted a notice about a lottery sale of the pack that day.
The official English pages date the English 30th CELEBRATION expansion September 16, 2026 as well, the first simultaneous worldwide release for the Pokemon TCG. They state over 150 cards, with 30 Pikachu rare cards, 30 Classic Collection cards, more than 20 new illustration rare and special illustration rare cards and two YOSHIROTTEN Futuristic rare cards, Mewtwo and Mew.

September 28, 2026: The Latest Official Notices
On September 28, 2026 the Japanese site posted a correction notice about an image in its 30th promo card pack article. The same day the official pokemon.com site announced the Delta Reign launch events: the English Mega Evolution Delta Reign expansion is dated November 6, 2026, with Build & Battle Box events at select Play! Pokemon Stores from October 24, 2026, and a Pokemon TCG Live release on November 5, 2026.
The official English Delta Reign page names Mega Rayquaza ex as its flagship card. It does not state which Japanese set Delta Reign corresponds to.
