The Mega Greninja ex Premium Collection holds a foil promo card, an oversize lenticular promo card, a tech sticker and 8 booster packs, according to the official pokemon.com product page, which gives its launch as July 03, 2026. The Pokemon on both promos has four Japanese prints in Ninja Spinner (M4), listed in the official card database with illustrator credits.
Limitless TCG numbers the promo MEP 081 and credits 5ban Graphics. The official Japanese database credits the four Ninja Spinner prints to takuyoa (RR, SR, MUR) and Susumu Maeya (SAR), so the promo’s illustrator credit appears on none of them. Bulbapedia (October 2, 2026) says the promo’s only other print is a Traditional Chinese promo.
From Tokyo we sell Japanese sealed boxes and graded singles. Our listing prices are those of October 2, 2026, and USD amounts use ¥154/USD, approximate.
The official page lists 1 foil promo, 1 oversize lenticular promo, 1 tech sticker and 8 booster packs, with a launch of July 03, 2026, and prints no price. The Japanese counterpart is Mega Greninja ex in Ninja Spinner (M4): four prints (RR 022/083, SR 098/083, SAR 114/083, MUR 120/083) in the official database. The Japanese box is offered as the Damaged Box at ¥7,796 (~$51).
The collection’s contents and launch date come from the official pokemon.com product page; the promo numbering, illustrator credits and pack mix are reported by Limitless TCG and Bulbapedia.
What Is Inside the Mega Greninja ex Premium Collection
The official page is titled Pokemon TCG: Mega Greninja ex Premium Collection and lists the launch as July 03, 2026. Its description reads: “Deliver serious damage and take Mega Greninja ex for a spin! Its Mortal Shuriken Ability lets you discard a Basic Water Energy from your hand to place six damage counters on one of your opponent’s Pokemon. Then finish up your turn with its Ninja Spinner attack that has the potential to do 200 damage!” The page adds that the collection is available at the Pokemon Center and where Pokemon TCG products are sold.

The description says the promo comes in both playable and display sizes: the foil card and the oversize lenticular card. The foil card carries the Mortal Shuriken Ability and the Ninja Spinner attack quoted in the description. Those two names also appear on the Japanese cards, where the official database prints them as ひっさつしゅりけん and ニンジャスピナー.
The MEP 081 Promo and Its Reported Details
The official page does not give the promo’s number. Limitless TCG lists it as Mega Greninja ex, Mega Promos (MEP) #81, illustrated by 5ban Graphics, a Water-type Stage 2 with 350 HP that evolves from Frogadier, with Lightning weakness, no resistance and a retreat cost of 1. Limitless also prints regulation mark J for it; the official database does not print regulation letters, so the mark is Limitless’s reading.
Bulbapedia’s merchandise page (as of October 1, 2026) describes the collection this way: an etched foil Mega Greninja ex MEP Black Star Promo “which featured alternate artwork to its initial Chaos Rising print”, a jumbo lenticular card, eight booster packs “typically two of Perfect Order and six of Chaos Rising”, one reusable tech sticker and a code card for Pokemon Trading Card Game Live. The words “etched” and “jumbo”, the pack mix and the code card are Bulbapedia’s; the official list says “foil” and “oversize” and prints no code card.

Ninja Spinner: The Japanese Set Behind the Pokemon
Ninja Spinner is the Japanese expansion behind the Pokemon. The official Japanese product page gives its release as March 13, 2026, with a price of ¥180 per pack, tax included, and 5 cards in each pack. The same page describes the headline card in these words (rendering): the Ability ひっさつしゅりけん lets you put 6 damage counters on one of the opponent’s Pokemon by discarding a Basic Water Energy from your hand, and the card is a “dexterous Mega Evolution ex” that damages the opponent with both its Ability and its attack.
The official card database lists 120 cards for the set with a printed denominator of /083: 83 cards inside the numbered range (38 C, 29 U, 8 R, 8 RR) and 37 numbered beyond it (12 AR, 18 SR, 6 SAR, 1 MUR).
The English expansion is Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising, which the official English page dates to May 22, 2026 and describes as “Over 120 cards”. Its overview casts Mega Greninja ex as the Pokemon that “gathers other powerful Mega Evolution Pokemon ex” against the threat. Bulbapedia’s Chaos Rising page says the expansion “includes cards released in the Japanese Ninja Spinner expansion”.

Our own coverage of the set is in the M4 Ninja Spinner complete guide and the Chaos Rising Japanese card list; the set’s listing page is the Ninja Spinner (M4) card list.
Every Japanese Mega Greninja ex Print
The official Japanese card database lists four prints of メガゲッコウガex, all in Ninja Spinner. All four share the same card text in the database (rendering): the Ability ひっさつしゅりけん can be used once on your turn when the Pokemon is in the Active Spot and you discard a Basic Water Energy from your hand, and places 6 damage counters on one of your opponent’s Pokemon. The attack ニンジャスピナー costs two Water Energy and does 120+ damage; you may return one Water Energy attached to it to your hand for 80 more. Each is a Stage 2 with 350 HP, Weakness Lightning ×2 and a retreat cost of 1, and the special rule gives the opponent 3 Prize cards when a Mega Evolution ex is Knocked Out (rendering).
| Number | Rarity | Illustrator (official database) |
|---|---|---|
| 022/083 | RR | takuyoa |
| 098/083 | SR | takuyoa |
| 114/083 | SAR | Susumu Maeya |
| 120/083 | MUR | takuyoa |
Mega Greninja ex RR 022/083

The RR sits inside the numbered 83-card range. The database credits takuyoa. On SNKRDUNK the lowest ask for this print is at the site’s minimum display price on October 2, 2026, and we have no PSA 10 listing for it.
Mega Greninja ex SR 098/083

Numbered past the 083 set size, the SR keeps the RR’s game text and its takuyoa credit.
Mega Greninja ex SAR 114/083

Of the four Japanese prints, only the SAR credits Susumu Maeya in the database; Bulbapedia separately labels it the special illustration rare print of the card, with the same illustrator.
Mega Greninja ex MUR 120/083

The MUR is the last number in the set and is credited to takuyoa. Bulbapedia calls it the gold-etched Mega hyper rare print. For the wider Chaos Rising line-up, see our Chaos Rising chase cards ranking and the Mega Greninja ex card guide.
The Promo, the English Prints and the Japanese Cards Compared
Limitless TCG lists the English Chaos Rising prints of Mega Greninja ex as numbers 22, 100, 116 and 122, and the Japanese Ninja Spinner prints as 22, 98, 114 and 120. The credits match pair by pair, and the promo’s 5ban Graphics credit matches none of them.
| English print (Limitless TCG) | Illustrator (Limitless) | Japanese print (official database) | Illustrator (official database) | Illustrator credit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chaos Rising 22, Double Rare | takuyoa | M4 022/083 RR | takuyoa | Same |
| Chaos Rising 100, Ultra Rare | takuyoa | M4 098/083 SR | takuyoa | Same |
| Chaos Rising 116, Special Art Rare | Susumu Maeya | M4 114/083 SAR | Susumu Maeya | Same |
| Chaos Rising 122, Secret Rare | takuyoa | M4 120/083 MUR | takuyoa | Same |
| MEP 081 promo (Premium Collection) | 5ban Graphics | No print in the database | Not applicable | No Japanese print |
Rarity labels in the English column are Limitless’s; the Japanese column uses the rarity icons printed in the official database, and the two naming systems differ, so Chaos Rising 100 is labelled Ultra Rare by Limitless while its Japanese pair carries the SR icon. Bulbapedia describes the four Chaos Rising prints as the regular card, a full art ultra rare, a special illustration rare and a gold-etched Mega hyper rare, “first released in the Japanese Ninja Spinner expansion”.
The promo differs from every one of those prints in its credit, and the card text it shares with them comes from different sources: the official English page describes the Mortal Shuriken Ability and a Ninja Spinner attack with “the potential to do 200 damage”, and the official Japanese database prints 120+ damage with 80 more for returning a Water Energy, which totals the same 200.
| Attribute | MEP 081 promo | Japanese prints (official database) |
|---|---|---|
| Stage and HP | Stage 2, 350 HP (Limitless TCG) | Stage 2, 350 HP |
| Ability | Mortal Shuriken: discard a Basic Water Energy from hand, six damage counters (official page) | ひっさつしゅりけん: discard a Basic Water Energy from hand, 6 damage counters |
| Attack | Ninja Spinner, potential 200 damage (official page) | ニンジャスピナー, 120+ with 80 more for returning a Water Energy |
| Weakness / retreat | Lightning / 1 (Limitless TCG) | Lightning ×2 / 1 |
| Illustrator | 5ban Graphics (Limitless TCG) | takuyoa (RR, SR, MUR); Susumu Maeya (SAR) |
| Regulation mark | J (Limitless TCG) | Not printed in the database |
Bulbapedia also says that in Taiwan and Hong Kong the card was reprinted as a Traditional Chinese M-P promotional card, from the “Ninja Spinner Value Set” booster box, with 5ban Graphics artwork and the “Ninja Spinner” logo; that claim is Bulbapedia’s, and it cites a video for it. Bulbapedia dates the English promo to the Premium Collection of July 3, 2026 and cites the pokemon.com product page for that.
Dated SNKRDUNK Asking Prices for the Japanese Prints
SNKRDUNK figures are asking prices only. Every row is the lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 2, 2026, as the product page shows it per condition; the PSA 10 column comes from the same grid. The RR and SR raw figures are SNKRDUNK’s minimum display price and not a confirmed ask.

The Japanese Boxes That Carry the Prints
All four prints belong to Ninja Spinner, whose official page says cards are inserted into packs at random. Our Damaged Box, the No Shrink Damaged Box and the main box are separate products, and the main box has Sealed and No Shrink options.
| Product | Our listing | Lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 2, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| M4 Ninja Spinner box, Damaged Box | ¥7,796 (~$51) | No dated figure |
| M4 Ninja Spinner box, No Shrink Damaged Box | ¥7,014 (~$46) | No dated figure |

The Sealed and No Shrink options sit on the main Ninja Spinner box page, and the two Damaged Box products have their own pages. We do not list the English Premium Collection; the Japanese box and the graded prints are the Japanese route to the same Pokemon.

Buying Checklist: Promo, Box or Graded Single
- Decide what you want from the collection. The official list gives a foil promo, an oversize lenticular promo, a sticker and 8 packs. If the MEP 081 illustration is the goal, the Japanese database has no print of it.
- Match the print to its number. The Japanese Mega Greninja ex prints are 022/083, 098/083, 114/083 and 120/083; the English Chaos Rising prints are numbered 22, 100, 116 and 122 per Limitless.
- Check the illustrator credit. takuyoa is credited on three Japanese prints and Susumu Maeya on the SAR; 5ban Graphics is credited on the promo only.
- Treat asks as asks. The SNKRDUNK figures are lowest asking prices on October 2, 2026, and a display floor is not a confirmed ask.
- Read the listing terms. Each PSA 10 back-order product page carries its own terms.
- Pick the box by product name. The Damaged Box, the No Shrink Damaged Box and the Sealed and No Shrink options of the main box are separate listings with separate prices.

The official pokemon.com page lists 1 foil promo card featuring Mega Greninja ex, 1 oversize lenticular promo card featuring Mega Greninja ex, 1 tech sticker featuring Mega Greninja and 8 Pokemon TCG booster packs. The page does not print a price or say which expansions the eight packs come from.
When did the Mega Greninja ex Premium Collection launch?
The official pokemon.com product page gives the launch as July 03, 2026. The Japanese Ninja Spinner (M4) expansion that first carried Mega Greninja ex came earlier: the official Japanese page gives its release as March 13, 2026, and the English Chaos Rising expansion released May 22, 2026.
How much does the Mega Greninja ex Premium Collection cost?
The official page does not print a price, so the collection’s price is not confirmed. On the Japanese side, the official Ninja Spinner page prints ¥180 per 5-card pack, tax included, and our Japanese box is offered as the Damaged Box at ¥7,796 (~$51).
Which promo card comes in the Mega Greninja ex Premium Collection?
The official page says the collection includes a foil promo card featuring Mega Greninja ex. Limitless TCG numbers it MEP 081 and credits the illustration to 5ban Graphics, and Bulbapedia lists it as MEP Promo 81. Bulbapedia calls the artwork an alternate to the Chaos Rising print.
How many Japanese Mega Greninja ex cards are there?
The official Japanese card database lists four prints of メガゲッコウガex, all from Ninja Spinner (M4): RR 022/083, SR 098/083, SAR 114/083 and MUR 120/083. The database credits takuyoa on the RR, SR and MUR and Susumu Maeya on the SAR; none carries a 5ban Graphics credit.
Does the Mega Greninja ex promo have a Japanese version?
The official Japanese database lists no 5ban Graphics print of メガゲッコウガex, so no Japanese print of the promo illustration appears there. Bulbapedia (October 2, 2026) says the promo’s only other print is a Traditional Chinese promo from Taiwan and Hong Kong; that claim is Bulbapedia’s alone.
Does the Mega Greninja ex Premium Collection include a Pokemon TCG Live code card?
The official pokemon.com list does not print a code card. Bulbapedia’s merchandise page, as of October 1, 2026, says the collection came with a code card for Pokemon Trading Card Game Live, so the code card is Bulbapedia’s report and not an official line item.
Which Japanese box carries the Mega Greninja ex prints?
All four Japanese prints belong to the Ninja Spinner (M4) set, per the official database, and the official page says cards are inserted at random. Our Damaged Box is currently listed at ¥7,796 (~$51), and the Sealed option of the main box is currently listed at ¥8,932 (~$58) on its product page.
