The CoroCoro Pokémon promo deck is スタートデッキ100 コロコロコミックver. (set code SN), a fixed 60-card Pikachu V and Eevee V deck that Pokémon offered through the magazine 月刊コロコロコミック in early 2022, and its lead card is ピカチュウV SN 001/024. The official database credits the illustrator You Iribi and the card prints the attack ピカドライブ with a damage figure of 200. This guide covers the deck, how it was sold, the card, and the two graded SN listings we currently carry.
We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. USD figures convert at ¥154/USD, approximate. Facts about the deck come from the official notice at pokemon-card.com and the official card database; the PSA 10 prices are ours.
- The SN deck was a fixed deck, not a random one: ピカチュウV (ピカドライブ200) plus イーブイV (ブイブレイブ), all in foil, with numbering that runs SN 001/024 onward.
- It was sold by application through 月刊コロコロコミック 2022年2月号, at ¥1,711 plus ¥589 for shipping and handling, one per person, by credit card only.
- Pikachu V SN 001/024 is currently listed as a physical PSA 10 at ¥32,525 (~$211).
What the CoroCoro Comic ver. Deck Is
スタートデッキ100 コロコロコミックver. belongs to the Start Deck 100 family but is a different kind of product from the main release. The main 2021 スタートデッキ100 (set code SI) was a random pick of one deck out of 100. The SN version is a single fixed deck with the official deck number 000, built around ピカチュウV and イーブイV, and every one of its 60 cards is a foil card (キラ).
| Detail | スタートデッキ100 コロコロコミックver. (SN) |
|---|---|
| Deck number | 000 |
| Deck size | 60 cards, all in foil (キラ) |
| Lead cards | ピカチュウV (ピカドライブ200) and イーブイV (ブイブレイブ) |
| Other cards | Cards exclusive to this version, per the official notice |
| Numbering | SN 001/024 onward (a 24-card numbering) |
| Fixed or random | Fixed: every buyer received the same deck |
| Price | ¥1,711 plus ¥589 shipping and handling |
The 24-card numbering is a notable detail. The deck has 60 cards, but the numbering runs 001 to 024. Our sources do not explain how the 60 cards relate to the 24 numbers, and we do not guess at it.
How It Was Sold
This is the part that makes the SN deck unusual. It was not a shelf product in the way the main release was. The official notice at pokemon-card.com describes a special service tied to 月刊コロコロコミック 2022年2月号, labelled 応募者10万人特別サービス (a special service for 100,000 applicants), and applications were made with a QR code and a serial number printed in the magazine.
| Term | What the official notice states |
|---|---|
| Channel | Application through 月刊コロコロコミック 2022年2月号 (QR code and serial number) |
| Date | 「2022年1月15日頃」, an approximate date as printed; no weekday is given |
| Price | ¥1,711 plus ¥589 shipping and handling |
| Limit | One per person |
| Payment | Credit card only |
| If demand exceeded 100,000 applicants | A lottery |
| Delivery windows | Late March 2022 and late August 2022 |
Because the date is given as 「2022年1月15日頃」, we write “around January 15, 2022” and do not add a weekday. The notice is on pokemon-card.com at info/003230.
The practical consequence is that the SN deck came as a complete deck by application, not from packs. We do not state how many decks were produced; the official notice gives no production figure.
Pikachu V SN 001/024
ピカチュウV SN 001/024 is the lead card of the deck. The official database entry has the id 41153, credits You Iribi, and prints the attack ピカドライブ with a damage figure of 200. We give the attack name as printed and the damage as printed; we do not describe its effect, because the effect text is not in our sources.
We currently list a physical PSA 10 of this card at ¥32,525 (~$211), named “PSA10 Pikachu V[SN 001/024](Start Deck 100 CoroCoro Comic ver.)”. A PSA 10 back order for the same card is offered at the same ¥32,525 (~$211) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms.
A careful buyer should not mix this card up with the 2021 secret Pikachu V. The number tells them apart: SN 001/024 here, SI 415/414 there. The 2021 card is currently listed as a physical PSA 10 at ¥40,588 (~$264) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), and our guide to the SI secret cards 415–422 covers it.
Eevee V SN 007/024
イーブイV is the second lead card, and the official notice names its attack ブイブレイブ. Our listing name for it prints the number SN 007/024, which is the only source we hold for that number. The official database id and illustrator for this entry are not in our sources, so neither is stated.
We offer it as a PSA 10 back order at ¥10,200 (~$66) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. The listing is titled with “Starter Deck 100” where the Pikachu V listing says “Start Deck 100”; both refer to the same CoroCoro Comic ver. product, and the bracketed code SN is the part to match.
Card types, HP and effect text for the two leads are not in our sources beyond the attack names and the Pikachu V damage figure, so none are stated here.
What Was in the Package
The official notice lists the accessories supplied with the deck. This is more than the main 2021 release carried.
| Item | Quantity |
|---|---|
| 60-card deck (all in foil) | 1 |
| Playmat (プレイマット) | 1 |
| Pokémon coin (ポケモンコイン) | 1 |
| Damage counters and markers (ダメカン/マーカー) | 1 set |
| Player’s guide (プレイヤーズガイド) | 1 |
The official package image from the product notice is shown below for identification.
The official site shows the deck number on an enclosed card for the Start Deck 100 family. For a single graded card, the slab label and the bracketed code in the listing name are what identify it.
SN Compared With SI and MC
The three Start Deck 100 products differ in how they were sold, how many decks they contain, and what they carry in the box.
| Feature | SI (2021) | SN (2022) | MC (2025) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Official name | スタートデッキ100 | スタートデッキ100 コロコロコミックver. | MEGA スタートデッキ100 バトルコレクション |
| Release | Friday, December 17, 2021 | Around January 15, 2022 (application) | Friday, December 19, 2025 |
| Price | ¥790 | ¥1,711 plus ¥589 | ¥891 |
| Decks | 100 kinds, random | 1 fixed deck | 100 kinds, random; ex ×2 or more included in every deck |
| Foil | Not stated here | All 60 cards | Not stated here |
| Extras | Damage counter sheet only | Playmat, coin, counters, player’s guide | Damage counter sheet only |
| Numbering | 001–414 base | SN 001/024 | 001–742 base |
The SI row of the table is the one most often confused with SN, because SI contains a Pikachu V of its own. For that deck, see the 2021 versus 2025 comparison and the Start Deck 100 Battle Collection guide.
The 2025 successor is currently listed sealed as the MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection at ¥1,097 (~$7). The official price in the table is the manufacturer’s; the listing price is ours.
Other Sword & Shield Pikachu V Decks
The SN deck was not the only 2021–2022 product built around ピカチュウV. Three official products from the same year carried a Pikachu V deck, and they are easy to mix up with the CoroCoro version in a search for a “Pikachu V starter”.
| Product | Release | Official price | Pikachu V deck | Fixed or random |
|---|---|---|---|---|
V | Fixed |
| スタートデッキ100 (SI), deck No.048 | Friday, December 17, 2021 | ¥790 | ピカチュウV with エースバーンV, one deck out of 100 | Random |
| スタートデッキ100 コロコロコミックver. (SN) | Around January 15, 2022 | ¥1,711 plus ¥589 | ピカチュウV with イーブイV | Fixed |
The pairing is the quickest way to tell them apart: the family products and deck No.048 pair ピカチュウV with エースバーンV, while the SN deck pairs it with イーブイV. Our starter set comparison guide covers the later Starter Set ex generation for readers who want a current-era beginner deck.
What Is Known and What Is Not
The SN deck is documented in a few places and silent in others. This table keeps the two apart.
| Question | Answer | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Is the deck fixed or random? | Fixed | Official notice |
| Who illustrated Pikachu V SN 001/024? | You Iribi | Official database, id 41153 |
| What does Pikachu V SN 001/024 print as its attack? | ピカドライブ, damage 200 | Official notice |
| What is the number of Eevee V? | SN 007/024 | Our listing name only |
| What are the other 22 numbered cards? | Not in our sources | — |
| What is the rarity of the SN cards? | The database prints no rarity field; our listing names print none | Official database; our listings |
| How many decks were made? | Not stated | — |
The unknowns matter because they limit what can honestly be said. We do not claim a print run, a rarity, or the identity of any card beyond the two leads. Anyone describing the SN deck with more precision should name a source for it.
A Short Checklist for Buying a Graded SN Card
A graded single is identified by what is printed on the card and the slab, so the checklist is short.
- Find the set code and number in the listing name: for the lead card it reads SN 001/024. If the bracket says SI 415/414 instead, it is the 2021 secret Pikachu V.
- Match the slab label to that bracketed code before paying.
- Read the price as a listing price. Our figures are what we currently list; the official ¥1,711 plus ¥589 was the application price in 2022 and is not a market figure.
- A back order is sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms.
- For a number we do not list, such as an SN number other than 001 or 007, use Quick Order for a sourcing request.
The 2022 application price works out to ¥2,300 in total for the deck once shipping and handling is added. It is a useful reference for what the product cost new, nothing more; it is not a forecast of what any single card should cost.
Where It Sits Among CoroCoro Cards
The SN deck is a CoroCoro-linked product. It is a complete 60-card deck sold by application through the magazine, not a single card attached to an issue. For the cards that came bundled with the magazine itself, our CoroCoro promo cards guide is the place to start.
Within the Start Deck 100 family, the legendary beasts have their own place: deck No.100 of the main release contains Entei V, Suicune V and Raikou V. That is covered in the legendary beasts guide.
The Battle Start Deck Trademark Report
On October 29, 2026 fan sites reported a Japanese trademark filing for 「バトルスタートデッキ」, which collectors read as a possible beginner-deck product; nothing is announced. Our Battle Start Deck trademark guide explains what is confirmed and what is not, and the round-up of the four reported names puts it in context. “Battle Start Deck” is a working English translation; no official English name exists.
