Rarity Names: English vs Japanese
The two releases don’t use the same rarity vocabulary for these cards. In English, Hidden Fates gave the Shiny Vault subset its own dedicated tier, “Triple Rare” — marked with a three-star icon and used only within this subset, nowhere else in the English card pool.
Japanese SM8b doesn’t have a separate subset at all. Instead, it files these shiny-foil GX prints as “SR” (Secret Rare)-tier cards, numbered above the set’s main 150-card count — the #206–#243 range covers the shiny reprints referenced in the mapping table above. So the same card can be “Triple Rare” in one language and “SR” in the other, purely as a function of how each release structured its numbering.
