- LIMIT OVER COLLECTION – THE RIVALS – (LOCR) followed on March 20, 2026 — a national holiday in Japan — with the identical structure applied to the rival characters. Its official catchphrase translates to “Break past the limit — unleashed, here and now.”

Grand Master Rare: 100 Serial-Numbered Copies
The headline of the entire Limit Over Collection project is a brand-new rarity: the Grand Master Rare GMR. Every Grand Master Rare card carries an individual serial number printed on the card — and for THE HEROES, Konami’s official product page confirms the print run: 100 copies per card.
Sit with that number for a moment. Standard chase cards in modern TCG sets are scarce in the sense that pulling one is unlikely — but the total supply is whatever the print run produces, and nobody outside the manufacturer knows what that is. A Grand Master Rare inverts the equation. The supply is printed on the card. If you pull one from a HEROES box, you are holding one of exactly 100 copies that will ever exist, and the serial number tells you which one.
That changes what “owning the card” means in a very literal way:
- Absolute, published scarcity. There is no hidden reprint risk within the product itself — the numbered run is the run. One hundred collectors worldwide, maximum, can own any given HEROES Grand Master Rare.

It is reasonable to expect the companion set follows the same allocation, but Konami’s LOCR page does not repeat the number, so for THE RIVALS treat the per-card count as unconfirmed.
This is not marketing scarcity — it’s arithmetic. With 100 serialized copies confirmed for each HEROES Grand Master Rare, the number in circulation is fixed the moment the print run is exhausted. Once those copies distribute into collections, sealed boxes are the only route left to pull one.
The Overframe Design Explained
