The Lost Origin card list runs to 247 cards, per Limitless TCG: 196 numbered 001–196, 21 secret rares numbered 197–217 and a 30-card Trainer Gallery (TG01–TG30), in a Sword & Shield set that released in English on September 9, 2022.
The Japanese prints Limitless TCG links to the 21 English secret rares come from two earlier sets: the enhanced expansion pack Dark Phantasma (S10a) on May 13, 2022 and the expansion pack Lost Abyss (S11) on July 15, 2022.
Limitless lists an S10a or S11 print for every one of the 21 English secret rares; Japanese counterparts of the Trainer Gallery are not verified.
- 247 cards: Limitless lists 196 numbered cards, 21 secret rares (197–217) and a 30-card Trainer Gallery; the pokemon.com set page says “Over 190 cards”.
- Japanese sets: S10a Dark Phantasma (May 13, 2022) and S11 Lost Abyss (July 15, 2022); Limitless lists a print in one of them for all 21 English secret rares.
- English release: September 9, 2022, as printed on pokemon.com and by Limitless.
- Numbering: English is one run to 217 plus a TG01–TG30 Trainer Gallery; Japanese prints use set codes with printed sizes of /071 (S10a) and /100 (S11).
- Box: the S11 Lost Abyss box Sealed option is currently listed at ¥44,563 (~$289).
Lost Origin Secret Rares (197–217)
The 21 secret rares are the cards numbered 197 to 217, as Limitless lists them. By Limitless’s rarity words, 197–211 are Rainbow Rare (seven VMAX and VSTAR cards, then eight Supporters) and 212–217 are Secret Rare: Giratina VSTAR, Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR, Box of Disaster, Collapsed Stadium, Dark Patch and Lost Vacuum.
The Japanese column lists every print Limitless links to that English card in S10a or S11. Because a card can appear in a Japanese set both as a base print and as a secret print, one English card can show two or three Japanese prints. The last column names our listing only where the Japanese print in the listing title is one of those prints.

How English Secret Rares Map to Japanese Sets
Each English card page on Limitless has a Japanese prints list. For the 21 secret rares, Limitless lists at least one print in S10a or S11 for every card; none are left unmatched. The table counts prints, not cards, because a card can list both a base print and a secret print in the same Japanese set.
| Japanese set | Prints listed across the 21 English secret rares |
|---|---|
| S10a Dark Phantasma | 25 |
| S11 Lost Abyss | 27 |
These are matches between prints of the same card as Limitless lists them. Limitless also credits illustrators on both sides, and for most of these prints the English and Japanese credits are the same, but a shared card name is not a claim that the artwork is identical. Where Limitless lists no Japanese print for a card, the table says so.
Top-Rarity Japanese Cards in Pictures
Six of the Ultra Rare prints from the Japanese sets, each with the English numbers Limitless matches to it. We have no listing for the exact Japanese prints of Box of Disaster (S10a 99), Dark Patch (S10a 98), Collapsed Stadium (S11 127) and Lost Vacuum (S11 126). Sourcing requests for a specific card go through Quick Order.

Japanese vs English Lost Origin: Numbering and What Changes
The English Lost Origin list is a numbered run of 217 cards (001–196 plus the secret rares 197–217) followed by the Trainer Gallery, numbered TG01 to TG30. The Japanese cards keep their own set codes and numbering — S10a Dark Phantasma and S11 Lost Abyss — so a Japanese print is identified by its set code plus number, not by the English collector number.
The official pages print set sizes of /071 for S10a and /100 for S11, while Limitless lists 99 and 127 entries, with secret prints numbered above the printed size. A Japanese secret rare such as S11 127 therefore carries a number higher than its set’s printed size, and the same English card can map to a lower-numbered base print and a higher-numbered secret print.
When you buy Japanese boxes or singles, use the Japanese code and number; when you cross-reference an English card, use the secret rare table.

Lost Origin Card List FAQ
How many cards are in the Lost Origin card list?
Limitless TCG lists 247 cards: 196 numbered 001–196, 21 secret rares numbered 197–217 and a 30-card Trainer Gallery numbered TG01–TG30. The pokemon.com set page describes the set as “Over 190 cards”. The secret rares and the Trainer Gallery sit outside that 196-card main run.
How many secret rares does Lost Origin have?
Limitless numbers 21 secret rares above 196: 15 Rainbow Rare and 6 Secret Rare by its rarity words, covering VMAX, VSTAR, Supporter, Tool, Item and Stadium cards. The Trainer Gallery adds two more Secret Rare cards, Pikachu VMAX (TG29) and Mew VMAX (TG30).
When did Lost Origin release in English and in Japan?
The pokemon.com set page prints September 9, 2022 for the English release, and Limitless prints the same date. The Japanese source sets came first: Dark Phantasma (S10a) on May 13, 2022 and Lost Abyss (S11) on July 15, 2022, both before the September 9, 2022 English release.
What is the Japanese equivalent of Lost Origin?
Lost Abyss (S11) and Dark Phantasma (S10a) are the Japanese sets behind Lost Origin’s secret rares: Limitless lists an S10a or S11 print for each of the 21 English secret rares.
Is the Japanese card the same artwork as the English one?
Limitless links the English and Japanese versions of the same card, and its pages credit illustrators, but that link does not on its own say the artwork is identical. Compare the specific print before buying, because each Japanese print has its own set code, number and rarity.
Why do Japanese and English card numbers differ?
The English list runs 001 to 217, then TG01 to TG30 for the Trainer Gallery. Each Japanese set has its own code and numbering: the official pages print /100 for S11 and /071 for S10a, and Limitless lists 127 and 99 entries, with secret prints numbered above the printed sizes.
Where can I buy the Japanese Lost Origin cards?
Japanese boxes for S10a and S11 are listed on our site; for example, the S11 Lost Abyss Sealed option is currently listed at ¥44,563 (~$289). PSA 10 cards from these sets are listed on our site. Sourcing requests for a specific card go through Quick Order.
