The secret-rare run is identical in size — both sets carry exactly 37 secret cards above the main numbering — but M4’s main set runs three cards longer, which is the entire gap between 117 and 120 total.
M3 Nihil Zero: Mega Zygarde ex’s Board-Wide Attack
Nihil Zero (M3) — also listed under its alternate name, Munikis Zero — released in Japan on January 23, 2026, then followed with a Taiwan and Hong Kong release on February 6. It runs 117 cards total: 80 in the main numbering plus 37 secret-rare cards from #081 up to #117. One source in our research noted a “118-card” figure elsewhere, which doesn’t reconcile with the confirmed #081–#117 secret-rare range, so we’re treating 117 as the reliable number here.
The set’s chase is Mega Zygarde ex, a 310HP Fighting-type card with two attacks worth knowing. “Gaia Wave” costs three Fighting energy for 200 damage and reduces the damage the opponent’s next attack does by 30. The headline move is “Muni Kiss Zero” — five Fighting energy, and it flips a coin against every Pokemon on the opponent’s side. Heads deals 150 damage to that Pokemon, and the attack ignores weakness and resistance on benched targets. It’s one of the few attacks in the set that can threaten an opponent’s whole board in a single turn rather than just the Active Pokemon.
Mega Zygarde ex prints across four tiers: a Double Rare at #046/080, a Secret Rare at #097/080, a Special Art Rare at #113/080, and the set’s gold-etched MUR at #117/080. Pokemon’s English integration plans also matter here — our source material indicates Nihil Zero’s content is expected to fold into the English “Perfect Order” set later in 2026, rather than getting a standalone English release.
M4 Ninja Spinner: Where Mega Greninja ex Debuted
Ninja Spinner (M4) released in Japan on March 13, 2026, about six and a half weeks after Nihil Zero. It’s the set where Mega Greninja ex debuted, and the set runs to 120 cards: 83 in the main numbering plus 37 secret-rare cards on top. Like Nihil Zero’s Mega Zygarde ex, Ninja Spinner spreads Mega Greninja ex across four separate tiers — a Double Rare at #022/083, a Secret Rare at #098/083, a Special Art Rare at #114/083, and the set’s MUR at #120/083. That’s four different price points for the same Pokemon within one set.
The set’s other headline single is Cinccino ex, a 240HP Colorless-type Special Art Rare at #117/083 built around an “Energy Slap” attack. Unlike M3, where Rosa’s Encouragement is the only other notable chase alongside Mega Zygarde ex, M4 pairs Mega Greninja ex’s four-tier ladder with a second dedicated SAR chase in Cinccino ex.
