Marco One Piece Cards: Every Confirmed Printing

Marco One Piece Cards: Every Confirmed Printing

Marco has only ever had one official Leader card. For a commander who held the Whitebeard Pirates together through the Paramount War and beyond, that’s a short list. But his best-known Character card isn’t the Leader at all — it’s OP03-013, the Super Rare from Pillars of Strength with the deepest print history of any confirmed Marco card.

This guide sorts every confirmed Marco printing into one reference: the sole Leader card, the Pillars of Strength Super Rare, the two early War-era printings from Romance Dawn and Paramount War, the One Piece Card The Best Vol.2 reprint, and the new Uncommon confirmed for OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors, releasing in Japan on August 22, 2026. We source Japanese One Piece Card Game sealed product out of Tokyo — this is a sourcing guide, not a singles listing; a specific card can be requested through Quick Order, covered at the end.

Six printings across five years of the game’s history isn’t a huge card pool compared to some of the franchise’s other top commanders, and that’s part of what makes Marco’s card list easy to sort out once it’s laid out in order. Two printings come from the game’s earliest sets, one is the Pillars of Strength Super Rare with the deepest reprint history, one is the only Leader card, one is a Best Vol.2 reprint that switched his color identity, and one is brand new in OP-17.

Key Takeaway

Marco has six printings individually verified for this guide, including one Leader card (OP08-002, Two Legends) and one Super Rare (OP03-013, Pillars of Strength) with the deepest reprint history of any confirmed Marco card. OP-17 adds a new Uncommon Marco (OP17-015) on August 22, 2026. The OP-17 booster box is currently listed at ¥28,000 and pre-orders ship on or after August 24, 2026.

Card data is drawn from the official OP card list and the LimitlessTCG card database. Set dates shown are English-language release dates as recorded by LimitlessTCG, except OP-17’s Japanese release date (August 22, 2026), which is confirmed on the official product page. This is a sourcing guide — no individual Marco singles or market prices are listed; card identification only.

Every Marco Card at a Glance

Six Marco printings are individually verified for this guide, spanning one Leader card, one Super Rare, two early Character cards, a reprint, and one new card arriving in OP-17:

Code Card Rarity Set Type
OP01-023 Marco Common OP01 Romance Dawn Character (Red, 3 cost, 5000 power, Counter +1000)
OP02-018 Marco Rare OP02 Paramount War Character (Red, 4 cost, 5000 power, Blocker)
OP03-013 Marco SR OP03 Pillars of Strength Character (Red, 5 cost, 6000 power)
OP08-002 Marco Leader OP08 Two Legends Leader (Red/Blue, 5000 power, Life 4)
PRB02-008 Marco SR PRB02 One Piece Card The Best Vol.2 Character (Blue, 4 cost, 6000 power, Blocker)
OP17-015 Marco Uncommon OP17 The World’s Strongest Warriors Character (Red, 5 cost, 6000 power)

OP03-013, the Pillars of Strength Super Rare covered in detail below, is the best-known Marco Character card in this guide — not the Leader card, which arrived five sets later in OP08 Two Legends. Marco has also been confirmed under further card numbers beyond the six individually verified here: OP16-014 (Rare, OP16 The Time of Battle), OP10-055 (Rare), OP09-052 (Common), ST22-012 (Common, Ace & Newgate starter deck), ST30-008 (Common), and P-071 (Two Legends pre-release promo). Full specs for these weren’t part of our source verification.

The sections below cover each printing in turn, starting with the one and only Marco Leader.

Marco’s Only Leader Card: OP08-002

Marco Leader, OP08-002, OP08 Two Legends

OP08-002 (Two Legends)

Marco Leader alt art, OP08-002, OP08 Two Legends

OP08-002 Alt Art (Two Legends)

OP08-002 is the only confirmed Leader card Marco has ever had, printed in OP08 Two Legends. It’s a Red/Blue Leader with 5000 power and 4 Life, and its printed effect works once per turn: spend 1 DON!! to draw a card, then return a card from hand to the deck, and the opponent’s active Character loses 2000 power. It has an alternate-art printing within Two Legends itself, and it has also been reprinted once, in the EB02 Anime 25th Collection extra booster.

Given how central Marco is to the Whitebeard Pirates as a fighting force, a single confirmed Leader card across the game’s history to date is a short list — and it’s worth noting up front that this Leader isn’t the printing this guide leads with. That’s the next one.

The once-per-turn draw-and-shrink effect on OP08-002 is a repeatable, incremental tool rather than a one-time swing effect, and its recurring cost of a single DON!! keeps it usable turn after turn without competing heavily with other DON!!-hungry plays. The EB02 Anime 25th Collection reprint means this is also a more accessible way to pick up the card if the original Two Legends printing is harder to track down.

Marco’s Super Rare: OP03-013

Marco Super Rare, OP03-013, OP03 Pillars of Strength
Marco SR, OP03-013, OP03 Pillars of Strength

OP03-013 is Marco’s Super Rare from OP03 Pillars of Strength, and it’s the Marco Character card with the deepest print history in this guide. It’s Red, 5 cost, 6000 power, and its printed effect removes a lower-power opposing Character when it enters play — and it can return from the trash by paying the cost of two Event cards, giving it built-in recursion that most Character cards at this rarity don’t have.

Print history is deep for this one: an alternate-art version, a Championship 2023 tournament-prize alternate-art printing, and a reprint in the Japanese 1st Anniversary Set — three parallel and reprint variants across a tournament prize and an anniversary product.

The combination of a removal effect on entry and a recursion clause — paying the cost of two Event cards to bring OP03-013 back from the trash — is what separates it from a straightforward stat-line Character card. It gives a deck built around Event cards a way to reuse the same removal effect more than once per game.

The War-Era Printings: OP01-023 and OP02-018

Marco Common, OP01-023, OP01 Romance Dawn

OP01-023 (Romance Dawn)

Marco Rare, OP02-018, OP02 Paramount War

OP02-018 (Paramount War)

OP01-023 is Marco’s earliest printing, a Common from OP01 Romance Dawn, the game’s original booster set. It’s Red, 3 cost, 5000 power, with a Counter +1000 effect, and it carries the Former Whitebeard Pirates trait. Only a standard version of this printing is confirmed — no alternate-art variant.

OP02-018 followed in OP02 Paramount War, fittingly the set built around the arc where Marco’s role as Whitebeard’s second-in-command mattered most. It’s Red, 4 cost, 5000 power, with the Blocker keyword, and its printed effect revives a Whitebeard Pirates card from the trash by paying its cost when this card is KO’d. It’s the most widely reprinted Marco card confirmed in this guide: an alternate-art version, a Promotion Pack 2023 printing, a tournament-prize alternate-art version, and multiple printings across the One Piece The Best (PRB01) set.

Between them, these two cards cover Marco’s role at both ends of a single Blocker’s job: OP01-023 counters an incoming attack for extra power, and OP02-018 blocks outright and then turns a KO into value by bringing back another Whitebeard Pirates card. The recursion effect on OP02-018 is the earliest example in Marco’s card history of the trash-recovery theme that reappears later on OP03-013.

The Best Vol.2 Reprint: PRB02-008

Marco Super Rare, PRB02-008, PRB02 One Piece Card The Best Vol.2

PRB02-008 (One Piece Card The Best Vol.2)

PRB02-008 is a Super Rare Marco printed in PRB02 One Piece Card The Best Vol.2, a compilation reprint set rather than a mainline booster. It’s Blue — a departure from the Red identity of Marco’s earlier cards — 4 cost, 6000 power, with the Blocker keyword and an effect that redirects an opponent’s attack and draws two cards when this card is KO’d. LimitlessTCG credits the illustration to NIJIMAARC. An alternate-art version of this printing is also confirmed.

PRB02-008 is the only Blue Marco card confirmed in this guide, and it’s also the second Marco card with a Blocker keyword after OP02-018. The KO-to-draw-two effect makes it a defensive piece that pays off even when it’s traded away, echoing the same KO-triggered value pattern seen on OP02-018, even though the two cards sit in different colors and different sets.

New for OP-17: OP17-015

OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors, releasing in Japan on August 22, 2026, adds one new Marco card: OP17-015, an Uncommon. It’s Red, 5 cost, 6000 power, and its printed effect redirects an opponent’s removal effect onto itself — and when it’s KO’d, it can discard a Whitebeard Pirates card to come back into play.

No official card image is available yet for OP17-015 — OP-17 is still in its pre-release window as of this guide, and the official card list site returns no image for unreleased cards. Effect text above is drawn from OP-17’s pre-release card list and could see minor wording changes once the set is officially live.

Why This Matters for Sourcing

OP17-015 comes out of the same OP-17 booster box as every other card in the set — the fastest way to open one is sealed product, not a singles search for a card that isn’t listed anywhere yet.

Every order ships from Tokyo with tracked delivery, whether it’s a sealed OP-17 booster box or a request through Quick Order.
