N Pokemon Card Guide: N’s Plot, Reshiram, Zekrom & 30th Reprint

N Pokemon Card Guide: N’s Plot, Reshiram, Zekrom & 30th Reprint

This N Pokemon card guide starts with a character who never throws a single punch himself: N’s cards split between Supporters bearing his name and Pokemon that belong to him — plus the Stadium and Item cards built around them — and across fifteen years of Japanese sets, that split identity has produced one of the deeper character lineups in the TCG.

This guide covers the N cards worth knowing if you’re buying Japanese singles: the classic Black & White Supporter and its 2016 reprint, the modern SV11B N’s Plan — officially printed in English as N’s Plot — the owner’s-Pokemon pairing of N’s Reshiram and N’s Zekrom, and where N’s Zoroark ex fits into the family, plus the incoming 2026 30th CELEBRATION Classic reprint of the original Supporter. We ship Japanese singles and sealed product out of Tokyo every week, and the three graded cards below are currently in our own stock.

Key Takeaway

N’s Plan SAR (SV11B 173/086, Black Bolt) — officially named N’s Plot on its English printing — is currently listed at ¥19,094. N’s Reshiram (SV9 109/100 AR) is currently listed at ¥9,593 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), and N’s Zekrom (M2a 210/193 AR) is currently listed at ¥5,391 — all PSA 10.

Every N Card and What It Is

N’s card pool splits cleanly into two categories: Supporter cards that use his name and effect on the battlefield, and Pokemon cards that belong to him as their trainer — a distinction the TCG has used for other major characters as well.

Card Type Set Number Year
N Supporter Red Collection (BW2) 066/066 U 2011
N Supporter (reprint) Awakened Psychic King (XY10) 076/078 U 2016
N’s Resolve Supporter Dream League (SM11b) 066/049 SR 2019
N’s Plan (N’s Plot) Supporter Black Bolt (SV11B) 173/086 SAR 2025
N’s Reshiram Owner’s Pokemon Battle Partners (SV9) 109/100 AR 2025
N’s Zekrom Owner’s Pokemon MEGA Dream ex (M2a) 210/193 AR 2025
N’s Zoroark ex Owner’s Pokemon MEGA Dream ex (M2a) 242/193 SAR 2025
N Supporter (reprint) 30th CELEBRATION (Classic Collection) 153/103 2026

The Supporter side runs from N’s original 2011 printing through two reprints and a full 2025 redesign, with a third classic reprint released September 16, 2026 in the 30th CELEBRATION set. The Pokemon side is newer — N’s Reshiram, Zekrom, and Zoroark ex all debuted within the same 2025 SV9/M2a window as part of the wider owner’s-Pokemon mechanic. The sections below cover each one, plus a handful of lower-cost N’s Pokemon deck pieces that round out the family.

The Classic Supporter: N from Red Collection to XY10

N [BW2 066/066] U, Red Collection
N U, BW2 066/066, Red Collection

N’s first Japanese card is a Supporter from Red Collection (BW2), printed at 066/066 U in 2011 and illustrated by Ken Sugimori. Its effect: both players shuffle their hand back into their deck and draw a new hand equal to the number of Prize cards they have left. It’s a hand-reset effect, and its English-language version (simply named “N”) carries the same text across four separate English printings, from Black & White Promos through Fates Collide.

The artwork puts N in front of a Ferris wheel rising out of a Monster Ball–shaped amusement park, arms spread wide — a visual motif that resurfaces on his 2025 SAR printing, covered below.

N [XY10 076/078] U, Awakened Psychic King

N, XY10 076/078, U (2016)

N’s second Japanese printing, XY10 076/078 U (Awakened Psychic King, 2016), kept the same Supporter text under a new illustration by Megumi Mizutani: N lying in a grass field with a Zorua curled up on his chest — the same illustration reappeared in The Best of XY the following year. It’s a quieter, more personal image than the original, and it’s the earliest card to visually pair N with the Pokemon line that would eventually become N’s Zoroark ex. For the full story of that card, see our N’s Zoroark ex cards guide.

Both classic N Supporters share the same effect text and a similar U rarity slot — the illustration and card number are the only ways to tell a Red Collection copy from an Awakened Psychic King copy at a glance.

N’s Third Printing: The 30th CELEBRATION Classic Reprint

N’s original Supporter effect got a third Japanese printing in the 30th CELEBRATION set: N (153/103) released September 16, 2026. The card sits inside the set’s Classic Collection reprint block (136–165) and is listed in the official card database; we don’t have pull-rate detail to share yet. For the full breakdown, see our N Supporter 153/103 30th CELEBRATION Classic reprint guide.

N’s Resolve (Dream League, 2019)

Eight years after his debut, N returned with a redesigned Supporter effect: N’s Resolve, from Dream League (SM11b), printed at both 045/049 U and 066/049 SR. The SR version, illustrated by Mana Ibe, sends N’s card pool in a new direction — the card trashes the top six cards of your deck and attaches any Basic Energy found among them to a Dragon-type Pokemon on your bench. Our own graded PSA 10 copy of the SR printing is currently listed at ¥19,829; as of September 15, 2026, the same printing had a lowest asking price of ¥7,280 on SNKRDUNK (21 listings, any condition).

The English printing keeps the same name, N’s Resolve, appearing in Cosmic Eclipse as both a standard and full-art version. It’s worth flagging as a distinct card from N’s Plan/N’s Plot below — different set, different era, different mechanic, despite the similar naming pattern across N’s later Supporters.

N’s Plan / N’s Plot: The Black Bolt SAR

N's Plan [SV11B 173/086] SAR, Black Bolt
N’s Plan (N’s Plot) SAR, SV11B 173/086, Black Bolt

N’s Dragon energy-attaching mechanic from N’s Resolve carries forward into Black Bolt (SV11B), 2025’s redesign of his Supporter line. The card lets you move up to two Energy cards already attached to your Bench Pokemon onto your Active Pokemon — a repositioning effect rather than a deck-trashing one. It comes in three print runs: 083/086 U, 165/086 SR, and 173/086 SAR.

A naming note worth being precise about: our graded copy of the SAR is currently listed at ¥19,094 as N’s Plan SAR, matching how the card is commonly cataloged. The card’s official English-language name, confirmed on its own Black Bolt English printing (#83, #163, #170), is N’s Plot. Both names refer to the same Japanese card — Nの筋書き, SV11B 173/086 — so if you’re cross-referencing listings elsewhere under either name, you’re looking at the same print.

The SAR illustration shows N looking up at a Ferris wheel — a direct callback to his original 2011 Red Collection artwork, fourteen years apart.

N’s Owner Pokemon: Reshiram and Zekrom

Alongside the 2025 Supporter redesign, N picked up his own pair of owner’s-Pokemon cards — Reshiram and Zekrom, both printed as basic Dragon-type Pokemon carrying his name directly on the card.

N's Reshiram [SV9 109/100] AR, Battle Partners

N's Zekrom [M2a 210/193] AR, MEGA Dream ex

N’s Zekrom, M2a 210/193, AR

N’s Reshiram (SV9 109/100, AR) debuted in Battle Partners, illustrated by Bun Toujo. It’s a Basic Dragon Pokemon at 130 HP with two attacks: “Powerful Rage” and “Innocent Flame,” a straightforward 170-damage attack. A standard-art 074/100 R version by illustrator rika exists in the same set, and M2a #128 carries a mirror reprint of that standard art. As of September 15, 2026, the AR’s lowest asking price on SNKRDUNK is ¥1,800 (89 listings, any condition).

N’s Zekrom (M2a 210/193, AR) arrived ten months later in MEGA Dream ex, also illustrated by Bun Toujo, and wasn’t included in SV9 — its Japanese debut is M2a. It shares Reshiram’s Basic Dragon typing and 130 HP, with “Shred” (70 damage, unaffected by effects on the opponent’s Active Pokemon) and “Rampage Thunder” (250 damage, but N’s Zekrom can’t attack on your next turn). A standard-art 129/193 version by AKIRA EGAWA rounds out the M2a print run.

Both cards carry the AR (Art Rare) designation, not a higher secret-rare tier — check the card number against the set’s total count (SV9 is /100, M2a is /193) to confirm you have the right print before comparing prices elsewhere.

N’s Zoroark ex: Where to Read More

N's Zoroark ex [M2a 242/193] SAR, MEGA Dream ex
N’s Zoroark ex SAR, M2a 242/193, MEGA Dream ex

The third piece of N’s 2025 owner’s-Pokemon lineup is N’s Zoroark ex, a Darkness-type evolution from N’s Zorua with 280 HP. It first appeared in Battle Partners (SV9) across four print runs — 061/100 RR, 117/100 SR, 127/100 SAR, and 131/100 UR — before picking up an M2a reprint at 112/193 RR and a new SAR at 242/193, illustrated by Raita Kazama.

Other N’s Pokemon in the Card Pool

Beyond Reshiram, Zekrom, and Zoroark ex, N’s Battle Partners-era Pokemon lineup includes a handful of supporting pieces built around the same Dragon and Darkness themes. N’s Sigilyph (SV9 040/100, C), illustrated by Shiburingaru, carries “Victory Symbol” — an attack that wins the game outright if used while you have exactly one Prize card remaining. N’s Castle (SV9 097/100, U), illustrated by AYUMI ODASHIMA, is a Stadium card that reduces the Retreat Cost of N’s Pokemon to zero, and it was reprinted in M2a at 181. N’s PP Up (SV9 089/100, U), illustrated by Toyste Beach, is an Item that moves a Basic Energy from your discard pile onto one of N’s Pokemon on your bench, with M2a reprints at 146 and a secret-rare 214. N’s Zorua (SV9 060/100, C), illustrated by Jiro Sasumo, is the pre-evolution behind N’s Zoroark ex, with a separate AR version at 108/100 illustrated by Megumi Mizutani.

These pieces round out N’s Battle Partners-era Pokemon lineup rather than standing as chase cards on their own, but they’re worth knowing if you’re assembling the full set of N-themed cards from a single box or building a themed deck around him.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is N’s Plan the same card as N’s Plot?

Yes. “N’s Plan” is how our SV11B 173/086 SAR copy is listed, but the card’s official English-language name, confirmed on its Black Bolt English printing (#83, #163, #170), is N’s Plot. Both refer to the same Japanese card, Nの筋書き, SV11B 173/086.

Is N’s Resolve the same card as N’s Plan/N’s Plot?

No. N’s Resolve is from Dream League (SM11b, 2019) and trashes cards to attach Energy to a Dragon-type bench Pokemon. N’s Plan/N’s Plot is from Black Bolt (SV11B, 2025) and repositions Energy already attached to your Bench Pokemon. They’re different Supporters from different eras.

What are N’s Reshiram and N’s Zekrom?

They’re N’s owner’s-Pokemon cards — Basic Dragon-type Pokemon printed with his name, both debuting in 2025. N’s Reshiram (SV9 109/100 AR) is currently listed at ¥9,593, and N’s Zekrom (M2a 210/193 AR) is currently listed at ¥5,391, both PSA 10.
