OP-17 Manga Rare & Top Parallel Cards: Whitebeard, Shanks, Baki Kaido, Big Mom + the Pirate Crew Super Parallels

OP-17 Manga Rare & Top Parallel Cards: Whitebeard, Shanks, Baki Kaido, Big Mom + the Pirate Crew Super Parallels

OP-17 —The World’s Strongest Warriors— didn’t just add 119 new numbered cards to the One Piece Card Game. It introduced a set of chase treatments that go well beyond a standard alternate-art parallel: four full comic-panel “manga” parallels, a first-of-its-kind leader parallel line, and two brand-new “Pirate Crew Super Parallel” cards that sit above everything else in the set.

This guide walks through every one of those top-tier treatments — the four manga parallels of Edward.Newgate, Shanks, Kaido, and Charlotte Linlin; the Keisuke Itagaki-illustrated “Baki” Kaido; the two Pirate Crew Super Parallels of Luffy and Rocks D. Xebec; and the Lucky Roux Treasure Rare — with the official effect text for each base card and the reported secondary-market figures where they exist. The sealed Japanese OP-17 booster box is currently listed at ¥17,000 (~$116) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) and ships from Tokyo; these cards themselves are pulls from that box and aren’t sold as individual singles.

OP-17 released in Japan on Saturday, August 22, 2026 as the game’s 4th-anniversary main booster, built around the Elbaf arc, the Four Emperors, and the Rocks Pirates. The official card database lists 169 total entries for the product: 119 numbered base cards (OP17-001 through OP17-119), 39 parallel or alternate-art versions of those cards, and 11 SP-card reprint inserts pulled from earlier sets. Every card discussed below sits inside that 39-entry parallel list, plus the base printings they’re built from.

Key Takeaways

OP-17 carries four manga (comic-art) parallels — Edward.Newgate, Shanks, Kaido, and Charlotte Linlin — plus a third version of Kaido OP17-062 illustrated by manga artist Keisuke Itagaki, two new Pirate Crew Super Parallels (Luffy and Rocks D. Xebec), and a Lucky Roux Treasure Rare. Reported buyback offers on 8/24 put the Pirate Crew Super Parallels well above the comic parallels. Our OP-17 Japanese booster box is currently listed at ¥17,000 (~$116) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) and ships tracked from Tokyo.

Updated September 1, 2026

Bandai’s official Japanese card list for OP-17 is now fully published and confirms every treatment covered below, and the English version of the set released on August 28, 2026 ($4.99 MSRP per pack). September 1 asking prices from SNKRDUNK have been added alongside the release-week figures — several of these cards now ask well below their 8/24 reported buyback peaks.

What a Manga Parallel Is in the One Piece Card Game

A manga (comic-art) parallel replaces a card’s usual painted illustration with artwork styled after the One Piece manga panels. For the wider history of the treatment across the game, see our One Piece manga rare cards guide.

OP-17 uses the treatment on four cards, each a _p2 version of an existing SR: Edward.Newgate (OP17-005_p2), Shanks (OP17-022_p2), Kaido (OP17-062_p2), and Charlotte Linlin (OP17-112_p2). All four were shown together in Bandai’s official reveal.

The four OP-17 manga parallels as shown in Bandai’s official set reveal.

All four base cards behind these parallels are Cost 10 / Power 12000 SRs of a Four Emperors leader — Edward.Newgate, Shanks, Kaido, and Charlotte Linlin are each the top-cost Character version of their respective leader color.

The Four Manga Parallels

OP17-005 (base SR)

Edward.Newgate OP17-005_p2 SR The World's Strongest Warriors OP-17

OP17-005_p2 (manga parallel)

The base card is Edward.Newgate, SR, Red, Cost 10 / Power 12000, from the Four Emperors / Whitebeard Pirates. If the opponent has a Character with 10000 power or more, the card in hand gets −4 cost, and on play it sets the player’s monocolored leader’s base power to 8000 until the end of the opponent’s next End Phase. Reported buyback offers for the manga parallel version sat around ¥131,000 (~$824) on 8/24. For more on the character, see our Whitebeard cards guide.

Shanks — OP17-022_p2

OP17-022 (base SR)

Shanks OP17-022_p2 SR The World's Strongest Warriors OP-17

OP17-022_p2 (manga parallel)

The base card is Shanks, SR, Green, Cost 10 / Power 12000, Four Emperors / Red-Haired Pirates, with [Rush]: on play it sets up to 2 of the player’s DON!! cards as active, then rests all of the opponent’s Characters. Reported buyback offers for the manga parallel ran ¥213,000–¥217,000 (~$1,340–$1,365) on 8/24, the higher of the two comic parallels with a reported figure. See our Shanks cards guide for the character’s other printings.

OP17-062 (base SR)

Kaido OP17-062_p2 SR The World's Strongest Warriors OP-17

OP17-062_p2 (manga parallel)

The base card is Kaido, SR, Purple, Cost 10 / Power 12000, Four Emperors / Animal Kingdom Pirates, with [Blocker]. Once per turn on the player’s turn, when a DON!! card on their field is returned to the DON!! deck, they may add up to 1 DON!! card as active from the DON!! deck, then set up to 1 of their DON!! cards as active. This is one of four OP17-062 printings — the base SR, its alternate-art parallel (_p1), this manga parallel (_p2), and the Itagaki-illustrated Baki version (_p3) covered next. As of September 1, 2026, the manga parallel OP17-062_p2 has a lowest asking price of ¥88,800 (~$604) on SNKRDUNK — an asking price, not a sold price.

Charlotte Linlin — OP17-112_p2

OP17-112 (base SR)

Charlotte Linlin OP17-112_p2 SR The World's Strongest Warriors OP-17

OP17-112_p2 (manga parallel)

The base card is Charlotte Linlin, SR, Yellow, Cost 10 / Power 12000, Four Emperors / Big Mom Pirates. On the player’s turn, the base power of their Characters with a [Trigger] and 4000 base power becomes 8000; on play, the player draws 1 card and either adds a card from the top of their deck to the top of their Life cards, or adds a card from the top of the opponent’s Life cards to the opponent’s hand. As of September 1, 2026, the manga parallel OP17-112_p2 has a lowest asking price of ¥80,000 (~$544) on SNKRDUNK — an asking price, not a sold price. Our Big Mom cards guide covers her other printings.

The Baki Kaido (OP17-062_p3)

Kaido OP17-062_p3 SR The World's Strongest Warriors OP-17
Kaido OP17-062_p3 SR — illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki, The World’s Strongest Warriors OP-17

Alongside the standard OP17-062 SR and its manga parallel, Bandai officially announced a third version of the same card: OP17-062_p3, illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki, the manga artist behind Baki. It uses the same Kaido SR effect text as the other OP17-062 printings.

Community-reported, unofficial odds figures (torecamap.co.jp / tcgpro.co.jp, 8/24) put the Baki Kaido at roughly 0.96% per pack, alongside separately reported figures of roughly 0.22–0.30% per pack for the Pirate Crew Super Parallels and roughly 0.83–1.53% per pack for the comic parallels as a group (sources diverge). These figures are unofficial community estimates, not numbers published by Bandai. For more on the character across the game, see our Kaido cards guide.

Pirate Crew Super Parallels: Luffy and Rocks D. Xebec

OP-17 introduces a brand-new rarity line: the 海賊団スーパーパラレル / “Pirate Crew Super Parallel”, sitting alongside the set’s other new treatment, the “Super Leader Parallel” — the first time the game has given every leader in a set its own parallel version. All six OP-17 leaders have a _p1 Super Leader Parallel: Edward.Newgate (OP17-001_p1), Shanks (OP17-020_p1), Rocks.D.Xebec (OP17-039_p1), Kaido (OP17-058_p1), Monkey.D.Luffy (OP17-079_p1), and Charlotte Linlin (OP17-099_p1). Only two Pirate Crew Super Parallels exist in OP-17: Luffy’s is a further step up from his own leader card, already carrying a Super Leader Parallel as OP17-079_p1, so his Pirate Crew Super Parallel is numbered OP17-079_p2. Rocks D. Xebec’s Pirate Crew Super Parallel sits instead on his SEC Character card (OP17-118), not on his leader card (OP17-039) — numbered OP17-118_p2, alongside that SEC’s own alternate-art _p1.

Monkey.D.Luffy (OP17-079, L, Black, Life 5 / Power 5000) is the set’s Elbaf-arc Straw Hat Crew leader: all of the player’s Characters with a cost of 12 or more gain [Blocker]. Reported buyback offers for the Pirate Crew Super Parallel version, OP17-079_p2, ran roughly ¥1.30–1.42 million (~$8,176–$8,931) on 8/24 — the highest figure reported for any card in this article. Our Luffy cards guide covers his other OP-17 printings, including the separate OP17-079_p1 Super Leader Parallel, reported around ¥126,000 (~$792).

Rocks.D.Xebec (OP17-118, SEC, Blue, Cost 10 / Power 12000) gets a +2000 Counter in hand when the player only has Characters without a Counter, and on play draws 1 card and lets the player play up to 2 Rocks Pirates cards with different names and a total cost of 9 or less. Reported buyback offers for the Pirate Crew Super Parallel version, OP17-118_p2, ran roughly ¥602,000–¥603,000 (~$3,786–$3,792) on 8/24. Its standard alternate-art parallel, OP17-118_p1, had an asking price of ¥7,400 (~$47) on the same date. See our Rocks D. Xebec cards guide for more on Rocks D. Xebec.

Treasure Rare: Lucky Roux (OP17-033_p1)

Lucky.Roux OP17-033_p1 TR The World's Strongest Warriors OP-17
Lucky.Roux OP17-033_p1 TR, The World’s Strongest Warriors OP-17

OP-17’s Treasure Rare (TR) slot went to Lucky.Roux (OP17-033_p1, Green, Cost 4 / Power 5000 / Counter 1000), Red-Haired Pirates. On play, the player looks at 3 cards from the top of their deck, may reveal a Red-Haired Pirates card and add it to hand, then places the rest at the bottom of the deck in any order. On the opponent’s attack, the player may trash this Character to rest up to 1 of the opponent’s Leader or Characters. The base version, OP17-033, is a Rare (R) with the same stat line, which makes the Treasure Rare stand out as a rarity jump on a supporting Red-Haired Pirates crew member rather than a parallel of one of the set’s headline SRs. As of September 1, 2026, the Treasure Rare’s lowest asking price on SNKRDUNK sits around ¥1,000 — an asking price, not a sold price.

Reported Market Snapshot

All figures below are as reported on 8/24/2026 and are either asking prices from live listings or buyback offers from Japanese secondary-market shops — not completed sales. Treat them as a snapshot, not a valuation.

Update — September 1, 2026 lowest asks on SNKRDUNK (asking prices, not sold prices): Luffy Pirate Crew Super Parallel (OP17-079_p2) ¥159,999; Xebec Pirate Crew Super Parallel (OP17-118_p2) ¥511,111 (~$3,477); comic parallels — Whitebeard ¥119,000, Shanks ¥170,000, Kaido ¥88,800, Charlotte Linlin ¥80,000; SEC parallels — Xebec _p1 ¥5,200, Loki _p1 ¥3,500; base SECs — Xebec ¥2,400, Loki ¥1,300; Lucky Roux Treasure Rare around ¥1,000; and a sealed JP box ¥15,500 (~$105). Several of these sit far below the 8/24 buyback peaks in the table — release-week figures move fast.

Two things stand out. First, the two Pirate Crew Super Parallels reported here carry buyback figures far above every comic parallel and SP card in the table. Second, the OP-17 box’s own reported buyback figure moved from roughly ¥20,000 to roughly ¥17,250 between 8/22 and 8/24.
