Raikou 015/076 (伝説の鼓動 S3a) Amazing Rare Pokémon Card Guide

Raikou 015/076 (伝説の鼓動 S3a) Amazing Rare Pokémon Card Guide

Raikou Amazing Rare PSA 10 is the search that leads to one Japanese card: ライコウ (Raikou) S3a 015/076, the Amazing Rare from the 2020 expansion 伝説の鼓動, illustrated by Hideki Ishikawa and printed with HP 110. It is the only legendary beast Amazing Rare our Amazing Rare guide documents, and in 2026 the same artwork and attack came back as a classic reprint numbered 162/103. This guide lays out both prints, what the rarity means, and what we do and do not list.

We sell Japanese sealed boxes and PSA 10 singles from Tokyo. Every yen figure for our products below is linked to its product page and was read on October 29, 2026; dollar figures convert at ¥154/USD and are approximate. We do not currently list a PSA 10 of the S3a Raikou, so the buying section is honest about what is and is not available.

Key Takeaways
  • Raikou S3a 015/076 is the only legendary-beast Amazing Rare in our Amazing Rare guide: Basic, Lightning, HP 110, illustrator Hideki Ishikawa, with the attack アメイジングシュート (Amazing Shot) for 120.
  • The 2026 reprint, M6a 162/103 in the Classic Collection of 30th CELEBRATION, prints the same illustrator, HP and attack text under a new number.
  • The set that holds the other Amazing Rares from 2020, Shiny Star V, is on our shelf as a booster box at ¥21,232 (~$138).

The Card: Raikou S3a 015/076

Raikou 015/076 S3a Legendary Heartbeat Amazing Rare, illustrator Hideki Ishikawa
ライコウ (Raikou) — 015/076 — S3a 伝説の鼓動 — illustrator Hideki Ishikawa

The official card database on pokemon-card.com describes this card as ライコウ, Basic, Lightning Pokémon No.243 (the database line reads いかずちポケモン), HP 110, illustrated by Hideki Ishikawa. It has one attack and no ability. The number 015 sits inside the set’s printed count of 76, so the card is a regular-numbered print of the set, with its rarity expressed by the rarity code rather than by a secret number.

What Amazing Rare Means

Amazing Rare is a rarity from the Sword & Shield era, with the rarity code A. According to our Amazing Rare guide, there are nine such cards: six in S3a 伝説の鼓動 (Friday, July 10, 2020) and three in S4a Shiny Star V (Friday, November 20, 2020). The set between them, S4 Amazing Volt Tackle (Friday, September 18, 2020), has none, despite the name.

The cards share a few traits, again per the same guide: they are all Basic Pokémon with no rule box, so a Knock Out gives up one Prize card, and each carries an “Amazing” attack that needs three or more different Energy types. For Raikou, the Amazing Shot costs Grass, Lightning and Metal Energy and does 120 damage.

Legendary beasts among them Raikou only (S3a 015/076) Our Amazing Rare guide

That last row matters for anyone searching “Raikou Amazing Rare” and expecting a family of three. Among the beasts our sources show one card, which is also why this print gets its own page.

The Card Text, Rendered in English

The database prints the text in Japanese. The table renders it in English; the renderings are ours, and the English attack name is a descriptive label, not an official name.

Print (rendering) Attack Effect, rendered
S3a 015/076 (rendering) アメイジングシュート (Amazing Shot) 120 Also does 120 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon. Weakness and Resistance are not applied to Benched Pokémon.
M6a 162/103 (rendering) アメイジングシュート (Amazing Shot) 120 Same wording as the S3a print in the database.

The bracketed note about Benched Pokémon is part of the printed text, which means the attack spreads damage to the Bench without the usual Weakness and Resistance calculation. We describe only what the card prints, not how it plays: there is no ability, no rule box, and the card is a plain Basic.

There is a practical consequence for identification. Because the text, HP and illustrator match across the two Japanese prints, you cannot tell them apart from the words on the card. The number, the set symbol and the rarity mark on the card are what decide which print you hold.

伝説の鼓動 and the Name “Legendary Heartbeat”

The set that holds this card is 強化拡張パック 伝説の鼓動. The word 鼓動 means heartbeat or pulse, and the English name “Legendary Heartbeat” is a fan translation of 伝説の鼓動, not an official localization: Bulbapedia states that no official English name exists, and the translation has been used by English fan coverage since 2020.

The cards themselves reached English through Sword & Shield — Vivid Voltage on Friday, November 13, 2020. Our reprint guide gives the English original of this Raikou as Vivid Voltage #050/185; we cite that number only as that guide states it and do not add any English price or ranking of our own.

The naming matters for searching. A buyer looking for the Japanese card should look for ライコウ 015/076 with the set code S3a; one looking for the English card should search Vivid Voltage. The two names refer to the same artwork in different languages and different number formats, which is why this page keeps the Japanese number first. For the set as a whole, see the Legendary Heartbeat (S3a) card list.

Where the Other Amazing Rares Live: Shiny Star V

Three of the nine Amazing Rares are in S4a Shiny Star V, released on Friday, November 20, 2020. That set is not the home of the Raikou, which is in S3a, but it is the other half of the rarity, and it is the set we list sealed.

We make no claim about what a box contains beyond the set’s own card list, and we do not quote pull rates. If your interest is the Amazing Rare rarity as a whole rather than the Raikou, the Shiny Star V box is the sealed product that belongs to it.

The 2026 Reprint: M6a 162/103

Raikou 162/103 M6a 30th CELEBRATION Classic Collection, illustrator Hideki Ishikawa
ライコウ (Raikou) — 162/103 — M6a 30th CELEBRATION, Classic Collection — illustrator Hideki Ishikawa

In 2026 the Raikou came back. M6a 30th CELEBRATION, released on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, contains a Classic Collection numbered 136 to 165, and Raikou is 162/103 in it. The database prints the same illustrator credit (Hideki Ishikawa), the same HP 110 and the same attack as the S3a card; the number 162 sits above the set’s printed count of 103, which is how the database shows secret or special numbering. Our reprint guide notes that the card carries no regulation letter.

The database does not print a rarity letter for it, so we do not name one. What we can say is that it is an official reprint of the S3a artwork, not a new illustration, and that it sits in the Classic Collection numbering rather than the main set’s. Our Raikou 162/103 reprint guide covers that print in full, including how it relates to the original.

You can browse the whole 30th CELEBRATION list on our M6a card list, and the sealed product for the set is covered in the buying section below.

Nothing in this table says which print is better, and we do not rank them. A collector who wants the original 2020 card, one who wants the 2026 reprint, and one who simply wants the artwork are making three different choices, and the number over the denominator is what keeps those choices from being confused. The Raikou prints from other eras, including the Mega-era ones, are catalogued in the Mega-era Raikou checklist.

PSA 10 and What We List for Raikou

The search that brought you here probably included “PSA 10”, so the direct answer first: a PSA 10 of the S3a Raikou 015/076 does not appear in our current listing data. Sourcing requests for a specific graded card go through Quick Order, and the product page of any listing we do carry shows its current terms.

The Raikou cards we offer as PSA 10 back orders are all different cards from the Amazing Rare. Each is sourced to order, and each product page shows the current terms.

Listing (as named by us) Card Our price
PSA10 Raikou V SAR[s12a 218/172](High Class Pack "VSTAR Universe") Raikou V, VSTAR Universe PSA 10 back order at ¥18,574 (~$121)
PSA10 Raikou EX SR :1ED [BW4 071/069](Expansion Pack "Dark Rush") Raikou EX, Dark Rush PSA 10 back order at ¥148,720 (~$966)
PSA10 Raikou :1ED [e4 039/088](Expansion Pack Vol.4 "Split Earth") Raikou, e-series PSA 10 back order at ¥264,600 (~$1,718)

These are separate cards from separate eras. The older two carry the 1ED mark in their listing names (1ED as our listing names it). They are not substitutes for the Amazing Rare, and we mention them so that a search for “Raikou PSA 10” lands on the correct card. The V is covered in the Raikou V PSA 10 guide.

If you are comparing graded and raw copies of the Amazing Rare itself, the checks are the same as for any Japanese card: the card name ライコウ, the set code S3a, the number 015/076 and the illustrator line. The slab label of a graded copy repeats the set and number, so the number is the first thing to match. For the Raikou special-art prints from other sets, see the Raikou special art prints comparison, which puts 015/076 next to the V and ex prints.

Raikou and the October 29, 2026 Trademark Reports

On October 29, 2026 fan sites reported a Japanese trademark filing for 「イナズマの衝撃」 (working English translation: Lightning Impact; no official English name exists), which collectors read as a possible Raikou set; nothing is announced. Our Lightning Impact trademark explainer explains what is confirmed and what is not, and the round-up of the 2027 names puts it beside the others.
