Ralts Japanese Pokemon cards have moved between two printed types across the sets we’ve verified. We list Ralts AR 083/078, from the Expansion Pack Scarlet ex, in the current Psychic line, as a PSA 10 back order.
This guide covers that print in detail, then walks through the other Ralts prints we’ve verified in the official Japanese card database, including a shiny print and a McDonald’s promo card that we also list, and explains how to tell the different printed types apart before you buy.
We list PSA 10 Ralts AR 083/078, Scarlet ex (SV1S), offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥6,749 (~$44). We also offer the shiny print, Ralts S 258/190, as a PSA 10 back order at ¥9,996 (~$65). The 083/078 print’s type is Psychic; the older SM8b 194/150 shiny print carries Fairy type instead.
The Print: Ralts AR 083/078 (Scarlet ex)

No evolution line is printed on the card — Ralts is a Basic Pokemon here, with no “evolves from” text. The illustration shows a figure carrying a box with a framed picture inside it, as shown on the card art itself.
Our listing is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥6,749 (~$44) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. See our PSA 10 back order guide for how that process works.

Other Ralts Prints We Verified in the Official Database
The official database lists several other Ralts prints. Here are the ones we verified in detail:
| Card | Number | Rarity | Set | Illustrator |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ralts | 083/078 | AR | Scarlet ex (SV1S) | Jiro Sasumo |
| Ralts | 026/078 | C | Scarlet ex (SV1S) | Tika Matsuno |
| Ralts | 258/190 | S | Shiny Treasure ex (SV4a) | yuu |
| Ralts | 021/M-P | — | McDonald’s Happy Set 2025 (M-P) | Terada Tera |
| Ralts | 194/150 | S | GX Ultra Shiny (SM8b) | Kyoko Umemoto |
The 026/078 print is the regular Common version issued in the same Scarlet ex set as the 083/078 print we list. The 258/190 print is the shiny-colour card behind our other listing, and the 021/M-P promo is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥4,610 (~$30) through our McDonald’s promo listing. The 194/150 print, also shiny, is an older SM-era card and carries Fairy type rather than Psychic.

On September 24, 2026 the lowest SNKRDUNK ask on the 021/M-P promo print was ¥1,000 (raw). No current SNKRDUNK PSA 10 figure in this update.
The database also lists further Ralts prints: a promo at M-P 066/M-P from the Special Card Set Mega Gallade ex (スペシャルカードセット メガエルレイドex), illustrated by Terada Tera; a Mega Dream ex print at M2a 069/193 (illustrated by Terada Tera), the newest print in the database; a Common at M1S 040/063 from Mega Symphonia; and an older Fairy-type promo at XYP 131/XY-P, illustrated by Aya Kusube.
Psychic vs Fairy: How the Printed Type Has Changed
The type printed on the card is not fixed across every Ralts print. The 083/078 AR is Psychic type; the older SM8b 194/150 shiny print, from GX Ultra Shiny, is Fairy type, per the official database.
For the wider evolution line Ralts belongs to, see our Gardevoir and Sylveon GX SA card guide and our Gardevoir ex Delta Species promo card guide. Both cover later evolutions of the same line the database lists for Ralts, so they’re a useful next stop if you’re building a full evolutionary set rather than a single Basic-stage card.
How to Read a Japanese Ralts Card
Three things identify a specific Japanese Ralts print: the card number printed at the bottom right (for example 083/078), the rarity icon next to it, and the regulation mark in the bottom-left corner. Our Scarlet ex AR carries regulation mark G.
Per the official regulation page, read September 24, 2026, Standard currently allows cards marked H, I and J. A card marked G, as our Ralts AR is, sits outside the current Standard rotation — read the regulation mark on any card you’re checking, since the official rules page lists the marks that are currently legal. The page also notes that the regulation mark only appears on cards from the Sun & Moon series onward; earlier sets used an expansion mark in the bottom-right corner instead, so the reading method itself changes depending on how old the print is.
