Outside the booster-pack chase, Luffy has anchored several promo-only releases that never went through a standard set at all.
P-001 — a Red, Cost 6, Power 7000 Strike-type Luffy card (“[DON!!x2] this Character gains [Rush]”) — has been reissued repeatedly: Promotion Pack 2022, the Premium Card Collection -25th Edition-, Gift Collection 2023, the Bandai Card Games Fest. 23-24 Edition Premium Card Collection, and a Super Pre-Release [Participant] alternate-art version. It’s less a single card than a recurring promo template Bandai keeps bringing back.
P-159 is the more notable recent release. It’s the 29th Anniversary of One Piece promo, and it’s a genuinely new scene rather than a reprint — Luffy depicted in his current, Elbaf-arc appearance enjoying a large meat feast, illustrated specifically for the anniversary. It shipped bundled with Weekly Shōnen Jump 2026 Issue #33 in Japan on July 13, 2026, with an unusually large 500,000-copy print run to meet demand. A Japan-only order window (opening July 6, 2026) offered a set of 8 cards — 4 regular plus 4 foil-stamped “deluxe” versions — and overseas collectors could preorder a “Premium Card Collection 29th Anniversary Edition” through Premium Bandai starting the same week.
Beyond P-001 and P-159, we could not verify a Film-tied Luffy promo (for example, a One Piece Film Red-specific solo Luffy promo number) from official-tier or limitlesstcg-tier sources, so we’re not asserting one here.
THE BEST Premium Booster Reprints
Bandai’s “ONE PIECE CARD THE BEST” premium booster line exists specifically to reprint iconic cards with new artwork treatments, and Luffy has been a headline inclusion in both volumes so far.

Luffy has also appeared on special DON!! resource-card art outside the Gear 5 material. The clearest verified example is SDS-01 “Special DON!! Set Vol.1 -Luffy-“, a North America-exclusive product containing 2 booster packs plus one special DON!! card illustrated with Ace, Sabo, and Luffy together. It released in March 2025 at a $9.99 MSRP.
We saw references in secondary blog sources to other Luffy-themed DON!! cards (a close-up comic-style DON!! and a convenience-store collaboration double-DON!!), but couldn’t confirm card numbers or official set attribution for those from official-tier sources, so we’re leaving them out rather than guessing.
