What Is Pokekyun Collection (CP3)?
Pokekyun Collection is a Concept Pack — a Japan-only product format from the XY BREAK era distinct from a standard expansion. Each pack held four cards, and every single card in the set is holo — there’s no non-holo common tier at all. The finish carries a gloss coating with a special holofoil inset, and along the left edge each card is decorated with a small charm icon (Ribbon, Droplet, Heart, Star, Clover, or Book) tying it to the set’s overall theme.
CP3 was never released as a standalone English set. The cards themselves later surfaced in English via Generations’ Radiant Collection insert, which is why you’ll sometimes see CP3 artwork cited under RC numbers in English price guides rather than under a “Pokekyun Collection” set name.
That Charmander/Charmeleon pair is a good example of how CP3 handles its common-tier cards — full holo treatment even on a basic evolution line card, which is part of why even the set’s cheaper slots hold value as PSA10 graded pieces. Two Artists, Two Slots: The Flareon EX and Sylveon EX Pairs
CP3’s structure is unusual for a 32-card set: two of its Pokemon — Flareon and Sylveon — each get two separate EX slots, illustrated by two different artists. That’s the fastest way to explain why this set has both a ¥15,000 tier and an ¥800,000 tier despite being one small concept pack.
Flareon EX appears at 006/032, illustrated by Atsuko Nishida, and again at 007/032, illustrated by kirisAki. Both slots are marked RR (Double Rare) in Japanese — CP3 doesn’t have a true Full Art tier, so don’t assume the pricier of the two is a Full Art card. Our PSA10 006 currently lists at ¥154,397 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), and 007 — the kirisAki illustration — is our single highest-priced Pokekyun card at ¥804,388 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), more than 5x its pair.
Sylveon EX follows the same pattern at 025/032 (illustrated by sui) and 026/032 (illustrated by Kanako Eo). Both English-side, the pair corresponds to Generations’ Radiant Collection inserts RC21 and RC32 — though which specific JP number lines up with which RC number hasn’t been independently confirmed, so we’re not asserting an exact one-to-one mapping. We don’t currently carry 025/032 in graded stock; 026/032 is covered in detail in the next section, since it’s a card people often ask about.

The Sylveon EX “Error” Version: What Actually Happened
Only 026/032 — the Kanako Eo illustration — carries the “Error” designation collectors talk about. There’s no reported error on the 025/032 sui illustration, so if you see that claimed elsewhere, treat it as unsourced.
The actual error: on 026/032, Sylveon’s attack Precious Ribbon should show an Energy symbol in its cost box, but a batch of the print run shipped with a plain white circle in that spot instead — a detail that’s easy to miss because it sits against Sylveon’s pale-colored body art. PSA’s own magazine has documented the defect directly: “Sylveon’s Precious Ribbon attack has a white circle next to it, where there should be an additional Energy symbol.”
A corrected print run exists with the Energy symbol printed correctly — and the corrected version is the harder one to find, not the error. If you’re buying based on “error = rare,” you have it backwards. PSA does label the two versions separately, though the exact production story behind the correction hasn’t been officially confirmed, and PSA’s own labeling on this card has had reported mix-ups, so treat any grading-authentication claim about it cautiously.
Our own copy is graded PSA10 as the Error-version 026/032, and it’s the second-highest-priced CP3 card in our records — currently out of stock at a last listed price of ¥456,610. The 1st Edition Stamp
Every PSA10 CP3 card we carry is graded from a 1st Edition (1ED) printing. That’s not just our own labeling convention — other dealers, including papermoonjapan and snkrdunk, list raw CP3 singles with the same 1ED designation, so it’s a real production detail worth checking for if you’re grading a raw copy yourself — but whether an unlimited (non-1ED) version of this set exists is something we haven’t independently verified, so we’re not making a claim either way. If your copy doesn’t say 1ED anywhere on it, don’t assume it’s automatically the rarer variant.
