In 2016, Pokemon Card Japan ran two small “concept pack” releases that never got a proper set name most collectors would recognize. One is remembered today mostly for a single Uncommon Jirachi. The other gave Celebi two completely different portraits inside the same 36-card checklist. Both packs remain an accessible route into genuine 2016 Japanese mythical grails.
This guide focuses on the three mythical Pokemon we can anchor with our own graded listings — Celebi, Jirachi, and Shaymin — plus the promo and secret-rare cards that sit around them in the same collecting lane. The 2016 Concept Packs: CP3 and CP5
Between 2015 and 2016, Pokemon Card Japan issued a handful of small “concept pack” (CP) releases — compact, themed checklists sold outside the mainline expansion schedule. Two of them anchor this guide.
CP3, the Pokekyun Collection, released in January 2016 with a 32-card checklist built around cute, approachable Pokemon designs. Its most valuable card is a single Uncommon: Jirachi 015/032.
CP5, the Mythical & Legendary Dream Shine Collection, released in July 2016 with a 36-card checklist pairing mythical and legendary Pokemon. It’s the source of both Celebi prints covered below and the Shaymin card in this guide.
Neither pack has a one-to-one English release. The closest English touchpoint is CP3’s Jirachi, which reappeared as Radiant Collection card RC13 inside 2016’s Generations expansion — the same kirisAki artwork under English numbering. CP5 has no direct English counterpart at all.

Two Celebi, One Card Number Apart: 001/036 vs 002/036
CP5 opens with back-to-back Celebi cards that trip up buyers who aren’t looking closely. 001/036 is illustrated by Tomokazu Komiya. 002/036 is illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita — the artist behind the original 1996 Charizard. The card text on both is identical: the same Time Call and Leech Seed effects, printed twice with different artwork.
The market treats them as two separate cards, and the gap is significant:

Our PSA 10 copy is 002/036, the Arita illustration — currently listed at ¥88,741, sitting below both current asks we tracked for that same card (¥140,000 and ¥198,000). We’re not comparing it against 001/036’s lower price band; that’s a different card with different artwork, and mixing the two up is the easiest expensive mistake to make with this pack.
Jirachi 015/032: The Pokekyun Wish
CP3’s headline card is a Psychic-type Jirachi at 70 HP, carrying the Negaigoto (Wish) and Heart Sign attacks, illustrated by kirisAki. It’s only an Uncommon by rarity, but the January 2016 concept pack it comes from never saw wide distribution outside Japan, and that scarcity has carried the card well past what its rarity tier would normally suggest.
The closest English touchpoint is Generations’ Radiant Collection subset, where Jirachi appears as RC13 — the same kirisAki artwork issued under English numbering. If you’re specifically hunting the original Japanese printing rather than the English Radiant Collection version, CP3 015/032 is the card.

The Celebi V Promo: 175/S-P
Celebi’s promo history extends past the 2016 concept packs. 175/S-P, illustrated by Teeziro, was distributed in 2021 through a two-box purchase campaign tied to S6K Jet Black Geist — buy two boxes of that set, and this Celebi V came bundled in. It’s not from the same era as the CP5 cards above, but it fills out a Celebi collection with a distinctly different, campaign-exclusive distribution story.

Shaymin 004/036: The One We’re Watching For
