Battle Partners (SV9) Complete Card List: All 132 Cards & Rarities

Battle Partners (SV9) Complete Card List: All 132 Cards & Rarities

Battle Partners is the set where Pokemon TCG Japan built an entire mechanic around a single idea: give the game’s most recognizable Trainers — N, Lillie, Hop, and Iono — their own tagged Pokemon cards, printed at every rarity level the set has to offer. The result is a secret-rare tier where trainer identity, not just Pokemon rarity, decides which cards climb to the top of the price list.

Battle Partners (SV9) released in Japan on January 24, 2025 as a 100-card base set followed by 32 secret-rare cards numbered 101 through 132, for 132 cards total. N’s Zoroark ex is the set’s headline chase — printed across four separate rarities from base Double Rare to Ultra Rare — while Hop’s Zacian ex is the Special Art Rare collectors chase hardest, and a run of Trainer’s Pokemon Art Rares (N’s Zorua, N’s Reshiram, Iono’s Kilowattrel, Lillie’s Ribombee, Hop’s Wooloo) fills out the rest of the secret tier’s wild-Pokemon slots.

This guide transcribes the full secret-rare list by rarity, prices the PSA 10 graded copies we carry, and covers the Trainer’s Pokemon mechanic, box economics, and the English counterpart set. For the complete base-to-secret numbered list with images, see our SV9 card list page.

Key Takeaway

Battle Partners (SV9) has 132 total cards — 100 base plus 32 secrets (12 AR, 11 SR, 6 SAR, 3 UR). N’s Zoroark ex is printed across four rarities: base RR #061, SR #117, SAR #127, and UR #131. Hop’s Zacian ex tops out at SAR #128 with no UR printing. PSA 10 Hop’s Zacian ex SAR currently lists at ¥12,216 (~$83), and the English counterpart, Journey Together, released March 28, 2025.

Battle Partners (SV9) at a Glance

Battle Partners is a main expansion pack in the Scarlet & Violet era, released in Japan on Friday, January 24, 2025. Each pack costs ¥180 (tax included) and contains 5 random cards, with 30 packs per sealed box.

The base set runs 100 cards. Above that sits a 32-card secret tier, numbered 101 through 132, broken into four rarity bands as catalogued by Limitless TCG as of August 2026:

  • AR (Art Rare) — #101–112, 12 cards
  • SR (Secret Rare) — #113–123, 11 cards
  • SAR (Special Art Rare) — #124–129, 6 cards
  • UR (Ultra Rare) — #130–132, 3 cards

The set’s defining feature is what Pokemon officially calls the “Trainer’s Pokemon” concept: Pokemon cards tagged to four specific Trainers — N, Lillie, Hop, and Iono — rather than generic wild-Pokemon art. That concept runs through the AR tier as flavor pairings and through the SR/SAR/UR tiers as full-art ex cards, and it’s the throughline that connects most of the set’s chase cards.

The Trainer’s Pokemon Mechanic

Four Trainers headline Battle Partners, and each gets at least one Pokemon tagged to their name across the AR and SR/SAR/UR tiers, as catalogued by Limitless TCG as of August 2026:

  • N — N’s Zorua (AR #108), N’s Reshiram (AR #109), N’s Zoroark ex (SR #117 / SAR #127 / UR #131, plus a base RR)
  • Lillie — Lillie’s Ribombee (AR #105), Lillie’s Clefairy ex (SR #115 / SAR #126)
  • Hop — Hop’s Wooloo (AR #112), Hop’s Zacian ex (SR #118 / SAR #128, plus a base RR)
  • Iono — Iono’s Kilowattrel (AR #104), Iono’s Bellibolt ex (SR #114 / SAR #125 / UR #130)

Two of the four — N’s Zoroark ex and Iono’s Bellibolt ex — go all the way to Ultra Rare. The other two — Lillie’s Clefairy ex and Hop’s Zacian ex — stop at Special Art Rare with no UR printing. That split is one of the first things to check if you’re trying to figure out how far a given Trainer’s Pokemon chase can climb in this set.

Which Cards Get Printed Twice

Cross-referencing the SR and SAR tables below shows the same pattern the Trainer’s Pokemon mechanic sets up: not every SR card gets an SAR follow-up.

Six cards get the full SR-then-SAR treatment: Volcanion ex (#113 SR / #124 SAR), Iono’s Bellibolt ex (#114 SR / #125 SAR), Lillie’s Clefairy ex (#115 SR / #126 SAR), N’s Zoroark ex (#117 SR / #127 SAR), Hop’s Zacian ex (#118 SR / #128 SAR), and Salamence ex (#119 SR / #129 SAR). Five other SR-tier cards — Mamoswine ex (#116), Dudunsparce ex (#120), Iris’s Fighting Spirit (#121), Ruffian (#122), and Brock’s Scouting (#123) — appear once, at SR only.

Of the six cards that reach SAR, only two go a step further into the UR tier: Iono’s Bellibolt ex (#130) and N’s Zoroark ex (#131). Volcanion ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Hop’s Zacian ex, and Salamence ex all stop at SAR with no UR printing — which is part of why N’s Zoroark ex, with four separate printings across the whole set, is the card most collectors treat as the set’s true flagship chase.

The Chase Card: N’s Zoroark ex in Four Rarities

No other card in Battle Partners gets this treatment. N’s Zoroark ex is printed four separate times across the set, starting in the 100-card base list and running all the way through the top of the secret tier:

# Printing Rarity Tier
061/100 N’s Zoroark ex RR Base set
117/100 N’s Zoroark ex SR Secret tier
127/100 N’s Zoroark ex SAR Secret tier
131/100 N’s Zoroark ex UR Secret tier

The base RR at #061/100 is the printing a regular pull slot inside the 100-card base list can produce. From there, the same card repeats through SR #117, the full-art SAR #127, and finally the UR #131 that sits inside the secret numbering just one slot ahead of the set’s closing Spike Energy at #132.

All four printings share the same /100 denominator, so telling them apart starts with the number before the slash: 061/100 falls inside the base set’s own 001–100 range and is the RR. 117/100, 127/100, and 131/100 all carry numbers above 100, which is your signal that you’re holding one of the three secret-tier prints — and from there, the rarity stamp printed on the card tells you whether it’s the SR, SAR, or UR.

A PSA 10 graded copy of the UR printing, PSA10 N’s Zoroark ex UR [SV9 131/100], recently listed at ¥15,998 (~$109) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order). Restock requests go through our Quick Order page.

Check the Number First

A card number of 100 or lower means base set (the RR). A number of 101 or higher means secret tier — and you’ll need the rarity stamp to know if it’s the SR, SAR, or UR of the three N’s Zoroark ex secrets.

Special Art Rare Spotlight: Hop’s Zacian ex

Hop's Zacian ex 128/100 SAR Battle Partners SV9
Hop’s Zacian ex 128/100, Special Art Rare — the set’s SAR without an Ultra Rare follow-up

Hop’s Zacian ex follows a smaller version of the N’s Zoroark ex pattern: a base Double Rare at #069/100, then a Secret Rare at #118, then a Special Art Rare at #128 — and that’s where it stops. Unlike N’s Zoroark ex and Iono’s Bellibolt ex, Hop’s Zacian ex does not get a UR printing in this set, which means the SAR at #128 is the highest rarity this card reaches.

PSA10 Hop’s Zacian ex SAR [SV9 128/100] is currently listed at ¥12,216 (~$83) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) — the entry point into the set’s Trainer’s Pokemon SAR tier.

Art Rare Spotlight: N’s Zorua & N’s Reshiram

N's Zorua 108/100 AR Battle Partners SV9

N’s Zorua 108/100 AR

N's Reshiram 109/100 AR Battle Partners SV9

Of the twelve Art Rare cards that open the secret tier (#101–112), two belong to N: N’s Zorua at #108 and N’s Reshiram at #109, sitting back to back in the numbering. Together with N’s Zoroark ex covered above, that gives the N storyline three cards across the AR and secret tiers — more than any other Trainer in this set, since Lillie, Hop, and Iono each get one AR card plus one ex line.

The AR band as a whole runs Maractus, Articuno, Wailord, Iono’s Kilowattrel, Lillie’s Ribombee, Swinub, Lycanroc, N’s Zorua, N’s Reshiram, Furret, Noibat, and Hop’s Wooloo (see the full table above) — a mix of wild Pokemon and Trainer’s Pokemon cards inside the same twelve-card band.

Secret Rare Spotlight: Iris’s Fighting Spirit

Iris's Fighting Spirit 121/100 SR Battle Partners SV9
Iris’s Fighting Spirit 121/100, Secret Rare — one of three Supporter-tier SR-only cards in the set

Not every SR-tier card in Battle Partners is a Pokemon. Iris’s Fighting Spirit at #121, alongside Ruffian (#122) and Brock’s Scouting (#123), rounds out the SR tier as the three SR-only Supporter cards that stop at Secret Rare with no SAR or UR follow-up — the same one-and-done pattern that Mamoswine ex and Dudunsparce ex follow among the ex cards (see the double-prints section above).

These three cards sit at the tail end of the SR table, right before the SAR tier picks back up at #124 with the six cards that do go on to a second printing.

Not every notable card in Battle Partners lives in the secret tier. Salamence appears twice across the set: once as a regular base-set card at #072/100, well inside the 1–100 base range, and again as Salamence ex in the Secret Rare band at #119 (see the SR table above), which also goes on to an SAR printing at #129 (see the double-prints section).

We carry a PSA 10 graded copy of the SR printing, currently out of stock: PSA10 Salamence ex SR [SV9 119/100] (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) — restock requests go through Quick Order. If you’re building a Salamence collection from this set, both prints are worth tracking down: the base #072/100 for the standard artwork, and SR #119 (or SAR #129) if you want the ex-card treatment.

Box Economics: MSRP vs Listed Price

A sealed Battle Partners box contains 30 packs at ¥180 each — 150 cards total across the box — putting MSRP at approximately ¥5,400 (~$37). Sealed boxes have moved well past that figure on the secondary market since release.

At roughly double MSRP, a sealed box still gives you a shot at all four N’s Zoroark ex printings plus every AR, SR, SAR, and UR card catalogued above, rather than sourcing PSA 10 graded singles one at a time. Every pack pulled from a box draws from the same 132-card pool covered in the tables on this page, so a full box is the most direct way to work toward the complete secret-tier run rather than targeting one card.

We also carry the Battle Partners Deck Build Box (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), a preconstructed product built around this set — currently out of stock, with restock requests handled through Quick Order.

For buyers weighing sealed product against graded singles: a box at ¥11,024 costs less than a single PSA10 Lillie’s Clefairy ex SAR (¥40,912) but comes with a shot at the entire AR/SR/SAR/UR tier rather than one guaranteed card. A PSA 10 single guarantees the exact card and grade; a box guarantees nothing beyond a chance at the full pool.

The English Counterpart: Journey Together

Battle Partners’ English-language counterpart is Journey Together, released March 28, 2025 — almost exactly two months after the Japanese set. Journey Together combines the Battle Partners card pool with leftover cards from the ex Starter Deck Generations line, so its checklist runs somewhat wider than a straight translation of the Japanese set.

Because the Japanese release comes first, Japanese collectors and international buyers importing from Japan get access to this card pool roughly two months ahead of buyers waiting on the English set. That gap is one of the main reasons collectors outside Japan import Japanese sealed product and singles directly rather than waiting for the English print run to catch up.
