Two 60-card decks, one tin case, and a pair of full-art ex cards that debut in this box — that is the whole pitch of the Pokemon 30th Celebration Premium Deck Set. The one collectors are chasing is the full-art Espeon ex, printed at 043/040, an alternate-art twin of the regular 014/040 Espeon ex that ships in the same deck.
The official name is 「30th CELEBRATION プレミアムデッキセット エーフィ・ブラッキー」 (Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon). It carries an MSRP of ¥6,200 (about $40 at ¥154/USD, the rate we use throughout this guide) and released in Japan on September 16, 2026, alongside the rest of the 30th Celebration wave. Real secondary-market asks now exist for both full-art chase cards and the box itself, alongside the pre-release forecasts that came before them — this guide separates what Pokemon has confirmed on the official 30th site, the dated release-day asks, and what Japanese card media predicted before release.
We ship Japanese sealed product and Japanese singles out of Tokyo, so alongside the deck-set facts below we’ve pulled in current listings for comparable Espeon and Umbreon cards already in our catalogue — useful reference points now that the market for this specific box is forming.
The official card list for the Premium Deck Set was published September 9, 2026: the full-art Espeon ex is officially numbered 043/040 (illustrator REND) and its deck-mate Umbreon ex is 044/040 (also REND). Pokemon’s own copy calls them “full-art” (フルイラスト); Japanese card media label them “SAR仕様,” but that is not an official rarity name. MSRP is ¥6,200; the deck set released in Japan on September 16, 2026. Our own deck-set listing is ¥29,800 (~$194), a pre-order shipping from Tokyo after release — see the product page for the current dispatch date. For a currently available comparison, see our PSA10 Espeon VMAX 189/S-P (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) listing. (The Master Ball Mirror 062/187 below is sold out at the time of this update.)
- The 30th Celebration Premium Deck Set (Espeon & Umbreon) released in Japan on September 16, 2026, the same day as M6a 30th CELEBRATION (released worldwide) and the FUTURISTIC BOX (also Japan-only).
- The full-art Espeon ex 043/040 now has a release-day lowest ask of ¥5,600 on SNKRDUNK (September 16, 2026); its deck-mate, the full-art Umbreon ex 044/040, is ¥13,000.
- PSA10 Espeon VMAX 189/S-P is now listed at ¥73,546 (~$478); PSA10 Umbreon 25th 012/025 is sold out at the time of this update. PSA10 Espeon Master Ball Mirror 062/187 remains sold out.
- Our own deck set listing remains ¥29,800 (~$194), a pre-order shipping from Tokyo — see the product page for the current dispatch date.

Inside the Box: What the Premium Deck Set Contains
Pokemon’s official 30th-anniversary product page lists the contents in full, and it is a genuinely dense box for ¥6,200: an “Espeon ex” deck (60 cards) and a “Umbreon ex” deck (60 cards), two sheets of damage counters and status markers, two Pokemon coins (one Espeon, one Umbreon), one paper playmat in a 30th-anniversary design, one tin double-deck case with a slide lid carrying the 30th logo, plus a beginner’s guide and a player’s guide.
Two official notes are worth flagging before you build either deck: “because of how constructed decks work, the same card appears multiple times,” and “this product includes some reprinted cards from past series.”
Espeon ex Full Art (043/040): The Chase Card
The deck ships one of each: a standard-frame “Espeon ex” at 014/040, and a full-art alternate at 043/040 that Pokemon’s own product copy describes as “the deck also includes full-art versions of Espeon ex and Umbreon ex.” As of September 9, 2026 this is confirmed by the official card list for set MF, which lists Espeon ex at 043/040 and Umbreon ex at 044/040 directly — no longer just a filename-plus-database inference.
Per a fan translation of the June 2026 card reveal (published by Pokebeach), Espeon ex is a Psychic-type, Stage 1 Pokemon (evolves from Eevee) with 260 HP. Its listed attack, Sunshine Beat, does 30 damage for every Pokemon you have in play. It carries double weakness to Darkness, minus-30 resistance to Fighting, retreat cost 1, and gives up two prizes when knocked out, consistent with the ex rule. The full-art print is the same card with alternate art (standard practice; not separately confirmed).
The illustrator for the full-art print is now officially credited as REND — the same illustrator as the Umbreon ex full-art in the deck-mate deck — and the regular 014/040 print is officially credited to 5ban Graphics.
Per the official product page, the Espeon ex deck’s own composition count is Pokémon 16 kinds / 20 cards, Trainers 22 kinds / 24 cards, and Energy 3 kinds / 16 cards.
Its Deck-Mate: Umbreon ex Full Art (044/040)

The Umbreon side of the box works the same way: a regular Umbreon ex at 017/040 (illustrated by Keisuke Azuma) and a full-art Umbreon ex at 044/040 (REND), both now confirmed in the official September 9 card list. Per the same Pokebeach fan translation, Umbreon ex is a Darkness-type, Stage 1 Pokemon with 270 HP. Its attack, Lunatic Claw, does 100 damage, plus an extra 140 if the opponent’s Active Pokemon already has damage counters on it. It is weak to Grass, has no listed resistance, retreat cost 2, and is worth two prizes on knockout.
Each deck also carries one extra illustration card alongside its ex: Victini 041/040 (illustrated by satoma) in the Espeon deck, Zeraora 042/040 (illustrated by HACCAN) in the Umbreon deck — both now in the official card list; we call these the two extra illustration cards, and SNKRDUNK catalogues them as “AR Style” rather than a formal rarity tier. We cover the Umbreon ex full-art in full detail, including its own deck list and comparable singles, in our Umbreon ex full-art card guide.
Why We Don’t Call It “SAR”
You’ll see the full-art Espeon ex and Umbreon ex described online as “SAR” cards — that comes from Japanese card sites labelling them “SAR仕様” (SAR-spec), and Pokebeach’s English coverage independently calls them “Special Illustration Rares.” Pokemon’s own product page never uses the term SAR for these two cards; its wording is simply “full-art” (フルイラスト). We use “full-art” as the primary term in this guide and note the media SAR label where it’s relevant, since that’s the term you’ll most often see used when people search for or discuss these cards.
If you want the fuller picture of how Japanese rarity tiers like SAR, SR, AR, and FUR relate to each other across the current sets, our Japanese Pokemon card rarity guide breaks that down for graded buyers.
Availability: Pokemon Center Online Lottery Status
This deck set was not sold on a normal storefront basis in Japan — Pokemon Center Online allocated it through lottery entry. Per SNKRDUNK’s lottery roundup (September 9, 2026), a further PCO additional lottery covering the FUTURISTIC BOX and Card Set ran September 11 through September 16, 2026, closing at 16:59 JST, with results due September 30, 2026. Our own deck-set listing (below) is a pre-order that ships from Tokyo after release — see the product page for the current dispatch date.
Outside PCO, Japanese retailers including Rakuten Books, Edion, Yodobashi.com, and several Tsutaya locations also ran their own entry-based allocations, and Amazon Japan listed the deck set through its invite-request system rather than a standard buy button. Every channel was lottery-allocated rather than first-come; check Pokemon Center Online directly if you’re still looking for further entry windows.
Pre-Release Price Predictions (All Unofficial)
The deck set has now released, and real release-day asks exist for both full-art chase cards, alongside the pre-release forecasts below. On SNKRDUNK, the lowest listed ask for the sealed Premium Deck Set fell from ¥64,990 on September 1 to ¥30,100 on September 10, and ¥17,800 on release day, September 16, 2026 — about 2.9× the ¥6,200 MSRP. The full-art Espeon ex (043/040) itself carries a release-day lowest ask of ¥5,600 on SNKRDUNK (September 16, 2026); its deck-mate, the full-art Umbreon ex (044/040), is ¥13,000. These are asks, not sales.
| Card / product | Source | Predicted secondary price | Predicted buy-back |
|---|---|---|---|

| Umbreon ex full-art (044/040) | snkrdunk (Jun 23, 2026) | ¥100,000+ (~$629+) | ¥70,000 (~$440) |

| Sealed Premium Deck Set | cardchusen (Aug 24, 2026) | ¥36,000–51,000 (~$226–$321) | — |
| Espeon ex full-art (043/040) | SNKRDUNK — actual release-day ask (Sept 16, 2026) | ¥5,600 (~$36) | — |
| Umbreon ex full-art (044/040) | SNKRDUNK — actual release-day ask (Sept 16, 2026) | ¥13,000 (~$84) | — |
| Sealed Premium Deck Set | SNKRDUNK — actual release-day ask (Sept 16, 2026) | ¥17,800 (~$116) | — |
The last three rows above are real, dated release-day asks, not predictions — unlike the rows above them. snkrdunk’s June forecast for the Espeon ex (¥70,000+) ran more than three times eternis.jp’s August estimate (~¥20,000) for the same card; both were labelled forecasts, not observed trades. The first real release-day ask, ¥5,600, came in well below every pre-release estimate for this card.
Comparable Espeon and Umbreon Cards Currently Listed
Here’s what the existing Espeon and Umbreon secondary market looks like on cards we currently have listed, now that the 30th Celebration full-arts have released and joined it:

- PSA10 Espeon Master Ball Mirror 062/187 (SV8a Terastal Festival ex) — sold out at the time of this update; restock requests go through Quick Order (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order).
- PSA10 Espeon VMAX 189/S-P promo — currently listed at ¥73,546 (~$478) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order).
- PSA10 Umbreon 25th Anniversary 012/025 promo — sold out at the time of this update; restock requests go through Quick Order.
The PSA10 Espeon VMAX 189/S-P promo above is a useful precedent for how a Pokemon promo-exclusive Eeveelution card can hold value once it’s actually traded, now that both 30th Celebration full-arts have real release-day asks of their own.
Where to Buy Espeon and Umbreon Cards from Japan
In Japan the Premium Deck Set moved through Pokemon Center Online’s lottery system, but our own 30th Celebration Premium Deck Set listing is currently listed at ¥29,800 (~$194), a pre-order shipping from Tokyo after release — see the product page for the current dispatch date. For graded Eeveelution singles, our PSA10 collection covers cards like the ones above, and our sealed Japanese booster box collection covers the wider Japanese sealed range. The Umbreon 25th Anniversary promo is sold out at the time of this update; for that or for any single card or box we haven’t listed individually, our Quick Order page is the fastest way to build a mixed order shipped from Tokyo.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between the regular and full-art Espeon ex in the deck?
Both are the same card with alternate art — Psychic type, 260 HP, the Sunshine Beat attack — and the only difference is artwork and rarity treatment. The regular print is numbered 014/040 (illustrator 5ban Graphics) with a standard card frame; the full-art alternate is 043/040 (illustrator REND) with edge-to-edge illustration, officially listed September 9, 2026. One of each ships in every deck.
Is the full-art Espeon ex officially called an “SAR”?
No. Pokemon’s own product page calls it “full-art” (フルイラスト). “SAR仕様” is a label used by Japanese card media, and English coverage has called it a “Special Illustration Rare” — neither is the official rarity name printed by Pokemon.
When did the 30th Celebration Premium Deck Set release and how much did it cost?
It released in Japan on September 16, 2026, at an MSRP of ¥6,200 (about $40 at ¥154/USD).
Can I still enter the Pokemon Center Online lottery for this deck?
Per SNKRDUNK’s lottery roundup (September 9, 2026), a further PCO additional lottery covering the FUTURISTIC BOX and Card Set ran September 11 through September 16, 2026, closing at 16:59 JST, with results due September 30, 2026. Our own deck-set listing remains a pre-order shipping from Tokyo after release. Check Pokemon Center Online directly for any further entry windows.
How much is the full-art Espeon ex worth?
The lowest release-day ask on SNKRDUNK was ¥5,600 (September 16, 2026), well below the pre-release forecasts of roughly ¥20,000 to over ¥70,000.
