Zekrom 050/103 in 30th Celebration (M6a): Full Card Guide

Zekrom 050/103 in 30th Celebration (M6a): Full Card Guide

Two of our three graded Zekrom PSA 10 singles are sold out at the time of this update — but the card itself got a fresh printing on September 16, 2026, in the newly released anniversary set, now officially confirmed in the card database.

Card 050/103 of M6a 30th CELEBRATION is a brand-new Zekrom, sitting in the base set alongside Reshiram, Kyogre, Groudon, Zacian and Zamazenta in the set’s legendary line-up. This guide collects everything actually confirmed about the card, checked September 16, 2026, following the official card list published September 9. We grade-check and ship Japanese Zekrom singles out of Tokyo every week, so we also note where our own graded stock stands now that the new card has released.

Key Takeaways

Zekrom 050/103 is listed directly in Pokemon’s official card database, illustrated by akagi, released worldwide on September 16, 2026 at ¥360 per pack. Its card text (Slash / Nitro Thunder) is confirmed by PokeBeach’s translation of the official reveal; rarity remains aggregator-reported, not yet official. Our own M6a 30th Celebration booster box is currently listed at ¥25,000 (~$162), pre-order (sealed; the no-shrink option is sold out at the time of this update). Two of our three graded Zekrom PSA 10 singles are sold out at the time of this update — restock requests go through Quick Order. Meanwhile, PSA 10 Zekrom ex BWR 174/086 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) is currently listed at ¥115,500 (~$750).

Store prices in this article are current listings as of September 16, 2026, converted at ¥154/USD. Card numbers and illustrators come from Pokemon’s official card database, current as of the September 9, 2026 official card list. The 30th Celebration set has now released; where a card has no dated release-day marketplace figure in this update, that is noted explicitly rather than treated as a price.

Zekrom 050/103: What Is Actually Confirmed

Zekrom 050/103, 30th Celebration (M6a) — official card image

The card number is now settled beyond doubt: 050/103 is listed directly in Pokemon’s official card database (published September 9, 2026), credited to illustrator akagi. Here is the current state of the data:

  • Rarity: still listed as a Rare by the English aggregator TCG Screener. That remains a reported figure — the official database entry does not print rarities for individual base-set cards, so treat it as unconfirmed until Pokemon publishes an official rarity credit.
  • HP: 130, Lightning-type Basic Pokemon, per PokeBeach’s translation of the official reveal.
  • Attacks: per PokeBeach’s translation, Zekrom carries Slash for 50 damage and Nitro Thunder for 80-plus damage, with a bonus 80 damage if this Pokemon has any Fire Energy attached. Weakness Fighting ×2, Retreat cost 2.

That resolves the condition that two earlier aggregator transcriptions disagreed on for Nitro Thunder’s bonus damage — it’s a Fire-Energy-attached condition, per PokeBeach’s translated card text.

No price prediction exists for this card either. snkrdunk’s 29 August prediction list priced the set’s chase cards and reprints but did not carry a figure for the regular Zekrom, and price-base showed no data for the set’s hits as of 30 August. That’s still true after release: SNKRDUNK’s release-day roundup (September 16, 2026) doesn’t carry a dated listing for the regular Zekrom either, so any yen figure you see quoted for 050/103 is still speculation.

Where 050/103 Sits in the 30th Celebration Set

M6a 30th CELEBRATION is a 103-card base set with secret rares numbered past it — the highest officially listed card in the set is the Magikarp Classic Collection reprint at 165/103, now confirmed alongside the rest of the 136–165 reprint block. Zekrom’s slot at 050 puts it in the heart of the base set, and the official product page pictures it in the set’s legendary block alongside Reshiram (008/103), Kyogre (013/103), Groudon (068/103), Zacian (085/103) and Zamazenta (086/103).

The pairing that matters most to collectors is the classic one: Reshiram sits at 008/103, so the Tao duo is reunited in the same anniversary set. We cover the white dragon separately in our Reshiram 30th Celebration card guide.

Structurally, the set’s confirmed pillars are: 30 Pikachu cards by 30 illustrators (one Pikachu guaranteed per pack), 30 historic cards reprinted in a special specification, a new FUR (Futuristic Rare) rarity for Mew ex and Mewtwo ex drawn by YOSHIROTTEN, and one YOSHIROTTEN-designed basic energy guaranteed per pack. Each pack contains six foil cards at ¥360 tax-in. For the full set overview, see our Pokémon 30th anniversary cards guide and the 30th Celebration FUR chase-card list.

The Other Zekrom in the Set: Pikachu & Zekrom GX 160/103

Pikachu & Zekrom GX 160/103 special reprint, 30th Celebration M6a
Pikachu & Zekrom GX 160/103, 30th Celebration special reprint

Zekrom actually appears twice in 30th Celebration. The tag-team Pikachu & Zekrom GX returns at 160/103 as one of the set’s now-complete 30-card historic reprint block, officially listed in the card database on September 9, 2026 and illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita. The original was the Team Up-era tag team that defined a competitive format; the anniversary version is a special-specification reprint, and the official page states these reprints are not usable in the current Standard regulation — they are legal only where the original card is legal.

snkrdunk’s unofficial prediction (29 August 2026) put the reprint at around ¥3,500 and up before release — a guess, not a market price. SNKRDUNK’s release-day roundup (September 16, 2026) has no dated listing for this specific reprint in this update. We break the card down fully in our companion piece, the Pikachu & Zekrom GX 30th Celebration reprint guide, and rank the original printing among the notable Zekrom cards in our Pikachu & Zekrom GX value guide.

A Note on Base-Set Cards Like Zekrom

In a set whose headline chases are the FUR Mewtwo ex and Mew ex, base-set legendaries such as Zekrom 050/103 are the cards most openers will actually pull. If history from S8a is a guide, the anniversary branding — not the rarity symbol — is what gives these cards a collecting life afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions

What rarity is Zekrom 050/103 in 30th Celebration?

It is reported as a Rare by the aggregator TCG Screener, but the official database entry does not publish per-card rarities for the base set, so the rarity remains unconfirmed even after the September 16, 2026 release. The card number and illustrator (akagi) were officially confirmed as of September 9, 2026.

What are Zekrom 050/103’s attacks?

Per PokeBeach’s translation of the official reveal: Slash for 50 damage, and Nitro Thunder for 80-plus damage, with a bonus 80 damage if this Pokemon has any Fire Energy attached. Weakness Fighting ×2, Retreat cost 2.

Is the Pikachu & Zekrom GX reprint in 30th Celebration legal for Standard?

No. The official page states the special-specification reprints, including Pikachu & Zekrom GX 160/103 (now officially listed, illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita), cannot be used in the current Standard regulation — they are only usable where the original printing is legal.

When did 30th Celebration release and how much does it cost?

It released September 16, 2026, worldwide simultaneous release. Packs are ¥360 tax-in with six foil cards; a 20-pack box is ¥7,200 tax-in (~$47 at ¥154/USD). Our own M6a booster box listing is ¥25,000 (sealed), pre-order; the no-shrink option is sold out at the time of this update.

How much will Zekrom 050/103 be worth?

Nobody knows yet for the new print. The set released September 16, 2026, but SNKRDUNK’s release-day roundup doesn’t carry a dated listing for the regular Zekrom, and snkrdunk’s 29 August 2026 prediction list didn’t either. Our graded Zekrom PSA 10 listings offer some context: PSA 10 Zekrom ex BWR 174/086 is currently listed at ¥115,500 (~$750), while the SAR 169/086 and the 25th Anniversary promo 021/025 are sold out at the time of this update.
