The Card: Gardevoir ex δ 015/025 Promo
Gardevoir ex δ is a Stage 2 Pokemon, evolving from Kirlia. In Japanese it’s printed as サーナイトex δ(デルタ種). The card carries 150 HP and is typed as Fire rather than Gardevoir’s usual Psychic typing — that swap is the entire point of the Delta Species (δ) mechanic, which lets a Pokemon carry an off-type from its normal game typing. Its Poke-Power, Imprison, reads: once during your turn, before your attack, if Gardevoir ex is your Active Pokemon, you may put an Imprison marker on one of your opponent’s Pokemon, which stops that Pokemon from using its own Poke-Powers or Poke-Bodies. Print History: From 2006 Dragon Frontiers to the 25th Anniversary Promo
This card’s story starts almost two decades before our anchor listing. The original English print came out in EX Dragon Frontiers as card 93/101 in 2006, at Rare Holo ex rarity — a standard secret-adjacent slot for an “ex” card in that era’s numbering.
In Japan, the original release didn’t come from a randomized booster pack at all. Gardevoir ex δ was card 005/024 in the “Imprison! Gardevoir ex” Constructed Standard Deck, a preconstructed deck product, and was separately distributed as an unnumbered Jumbo promotional card at Pokemon Jungle Tours venues across Japan in the summer of 2006.
The card resurfaced in 2021 in two reprints tied to Pokemon’s 25th Anniversary program. In English, it was reissued in the Celebrations expansion’s Classic Collection subset with a Confetti Holofoil treatment and a 25th Anniversary logo. In Japanese, the matching reprint was issued in the Promo Card Pack 25th Anniversary Edition (set code S8a-P) as card 015/025 — the exact print we list.

The 005/024 number belongs to the original 2006 constructed-deck print. The separate Pokemon Jungle Tours jumbo promo was unnumbered, while the later Japanese 25th Anniversary reissue is 015/025.
