Every JP Print of Mega Gardevoir: The Complete Checklist
Two separate eras used the “Mega” mechanic on Gardevoir, and they use two different card names. Getting this straight first saves a lot of confusion further down the page.
Mega Gardevoir ex is the 2025–26 card (Psychic, 360 HP). M Gardevoir EX is the 2014–2017 card from the original XY Mega Evolution mechanic. Gardevoir EX / Gardevoir ex with no “M” or “Mega” in front is a base, non-Mega card in either era — a different Pokemon card entirely, even though the names look almost identical at a glance.
With that settled, here is the complete Japanese print run for the Mega form: the modern six cross-checked on both Bulbapedia’s full-prints table and Limitless’s card database, and the XY-era six per Bulbapedia’s card pages:

No Mega Gardevoir ex print exists in M1L, M2, M3, M4, M5, or M6 as of this writing — the M1S and M2a prints above are the complete set. The six English-language equivalents of the 2025–26 card are Mega Evolution 060/132 (Double Rare), 159/132 (Ultra Rare Full Art), 178/132 (Special Illustration Rare), 187/132 (Mega Hyper Rare, the EN tier of the JP MUR), plus Ascended Heroes 089/217 and a March 2026 Black Star Promo. The Cover Card of M1S: How Mega Symphonia Got Its Name
拡張パック「メガシンフォニア」(Mega Symphonia, M1S) launched on August 1, 2025 alongside M1L as the debut pair of Japan’s MEGA series. The set’s own name is literally the card’s second attack — not a coincidence, since Mega Gardevoir ex is widely treated by Japanese card-list sites and community rankings as the set’s headline Pokemon.
The card itself: Stage 2 (evolves from Kirlia), Psychic type, 360 HP, weak to Darkness ×2, resists Fighting −30, retreat cost 2. Its first attack, Overflowing Wishes, searches your deck for a Basic Psychic Energy and attaches it to each Benched Pokemon for 1 Psychic Energy. Its second attack, Mega Symphonia, deals 50 damage for every Psychic Energy attached across your whole board — and like every Mega Evolution ex card, it gives up three Prize cards on knockout instead of the usual one.

The 2025–26 Mega Era: Mega Gardevoir ex (6 Prints)
Four of the six prints come from M1S; the other two arrived four months later in ハイクラスパック「MEGAドリームex」(MEGA Dream ex, M2a), released November 28, 2025. M2a is a 250-card set (Normal/R 001–193, 20 AR, 9 SR, 17 SAR, and a single MUR) built around a new top rarity that debuted with this set — MA (Mega Attack Rare), ten of which appear across the checklist.

The XY-Era Original: M Gardevoir EX (6 Prints, 2014–2017)
Eleven years before “Mega” became a set name, Gardevoir got its first Mega treatment as M Gardevoir EX — six Japanese prints spread across three expansion sets and one concept pack between December 2014 and April 2017.
拡張パック「タイダルストーム」(Tidal Storm, XY5) released December 13, 2014 with two Mega prints: an RR at 051/070 and an SR at 076/070. The SR’s English counterpart is the Primal Clash full art 156/160.
コンセプトパック「ポケキュンコレクション」(PokéKyun Collection, CP3), released January 29, 2016, holds the RR at 020/032 — a concept pack, not a half-deck product, despite the number sometimes being mistaken for one. It’s also the single most expensive Mega Gardevoir print in either era.
拡張パック「冷酷の反逆者」(Cruel Traitor, XY11) released June 17, 2016 with an RR at 039/054 and an SR at 057/054, the Steam Siege full art 112/114 in English. Our stock item is marked internally as “XY11-1,” which refers to this same Cruel Traitor subset — one of two paired subsets released under the XY11 set code, the other being Fever-Burst Fighter.
ハイクラスパック「The Best of XY」 closed out the era on April 21, 2017 with a Japan-only Rare Holo reprint at 092/171, never released in English.
Our XY11 057/054 copy is stamped 1ST EDITION. Japan’s 1st Edition print window ran from 2001 through the December 2016 20th Anniversary expansion, so a 1ED stamp on either the 2014 Tidal Storm or 2016 Cruel Traitor print is era-consistent — this is a general rule about the print window, not a guarantee for every individual card.

The two XY5/XY11 vintage SRs sit within ¥2,060 of each other despite an 18-month gap between their releases. And the current-era MUR already outprices both vintage SRs, less than a year after M1S released, while the decade-old CP3 concept-pack RR still tops the entire ladder. MUR vs SAR vs MA: Reading the Rarity Tiers
The 2025–26 MEGA series introduced rarity tiers that didn’t exist in the XY era, and they map directly onto price:
- MUR (Mega Ultra Rare) — the gold-etched top rarity for Mega Evolution ex cards, built around circular-background artwork. M1S and M2a each carry a single MUR, which is why our M1S MUR sits at ¥170,135 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order).
- SAR (Special Art Rare) — the alternate full-art treatment one tier below MUR. Our M1S SAR runs ¥33,722 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), roughly a fifth of the MUR from the same set.

The vintage XY-era cards use an older, simpler system — RR and SR only, with no MUR or MA equivalent. That’s part of why the two systems don’t line up cleanly: a modern RR (M2a 071/193) and a vintage RR (XY11 039/054) aren’t directly comparable, because the pull structures they come from are different.
