Blaine’s Charmeleon Old Back is the Pokemon card we list as PMCG-G2 No.005 from Gym Expansion Volume 2 “Challenge from the Darkness”. This guide sets out what can be stated about it, and what cannot, because the official Japanese card database does not list this print.
What the database does verify is the species: the modern Charmeleon (リザード) print, the evolution line and the Pokedex text. Below you will find those facts, the print we list as a PSA 10 back order, how to read an Old Back listing, the dated SNKRDUNK ask and where to buy.
Our Blaine’s Charmeleon Old Back [PMCG-G2 No.005] is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥74,460 (~$484) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. The official database does not list this print; the number, set and grade are as printed on our listed copy. The species facts (Fire type, Pokedex No.005, evolving from Charmander) come from the official database’s modern Charmeleon print.

Blaine’s Charmeleon: At a Glance
The table separates the print on our listing from the modern Charmeleon print the official database does show.
| Number | Set | Rarity | Illustrator |
|---|---|---|---|
| PMCG-G2 No.005 (our listing) | Gym Expansion Volume 2 “Challenge from the Darkness” | Not in the official database | Not in the official database |
| 026/190 (Charmeleon, リザード) | SV4a | No icon stated here | Tonji Matsuno |
The official database does not list the Old Back print, so its rarity and illustrator are not attributed here.
What the Card Is
The card is an Old Back Charmeleon with Blaine’s name on it. SNKRDUNK names the same print カツラのリザード and lists it under the code PMCG-G2 No.005 in the set ジム拡張第2弾「闇からの挑戦」, which matches the set our listing gives in English as Gym Expansion Volume 2 “Challenge from the Darkness”.
The official database does not list this print; the number, set and grade are as printed on our listed copy. Card details such as HP, attacks and illustrator are therefore not given in this guide. What we can say comes from two places: our listing, and the species entry in the official database.

Another Old Back card we list is Mew, PMCG-P No.151, offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥1,795,200 (~$11,657) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms.

Charmeleon Species Facts from the Official Database
The official Japanese database lists Charmeleon as リザード. Its SV4a 026/190 print, illustrated by Tonji Matsuno, is a Stage 1 Pokemon with 90 HP, an ability printed 「フレアヴェール」 and an attack printed 「かえん」 for 50 damage. These are the values of that modern print only and are not attributed to the Old Back card.

The database’s evolution line reads ヒトカゲ (Charmander), リザード (Charmeleon), リザードン (Charizard), with a Charizard GX and a Charizard ex listed as later forms. The Pokedex text on the modern print gives the species as Pokedex No.005, the かえんポケモン (Flame Pokemon), 1.1 m and 19.0 kg. Rendered in English, it says that when its spirits rise in battle, it breathes scorching flames and burns everything around it.
Fire type, Pokedex No.005 and the evolution line are species facts. The number on our listing, No.005, matches that Pokedex number. For the CP3 Pokekyun Collection print and other Charmeleon cards, see our Charmeleon Japanese Pokemon cards guide.
How to Read an Old Back Listing
An Old Back listing carries three identifiers you can compare against any marketplace: the card name, the set code with number, and the grade. On ours these are “Blaine’s Charmeleon”, “PMCG-G2 No.005” and “PSA 10”. SNKRDUNK uses the same set code and number, which is how the two entries can be matched by listing name.
Regulation marks work differently. The official regulation page says the mark appears on cards from the Sun & Moon series onward, and that the Standard format uses cards marked H, I or J from January 23, 2026. A PMCG-era print therefore has no mark to read, and it is not in the current Standard regulation. That is all the official pages let us say about play.
Rarity is the other point. The official database does not list this print, so it gives no rarity for it. SNKRDUNK’s listing name carries a ◆ symbol after the card name; we do not turn that symbol into a rarity tier. Our Japanese Pokemon card rarities guide covers the modern lettered tiers, and the condition guide covers raw and PSA 10 condition.
Counterfeits are a general concern with vintage cards. Our guide to spotting fake Japanese Pokemon cards lists the checks that apply to any card before you buy.
The Dated SNKRDUNK Ask
The lowest SNKRDUNK ask on September 29, 2026 was ¥1,500 for the listing named カツラのリザード ◆ : 旧裏 [PMCG-G2 No.005](ジム拡張第2弾「闇からの挑戦」). It is an asking price, not a sale price. That listing is not a PSA 10 listing, and there is no current SNKRDUNK PSA 10 figure in this update.
The SNKRDUNK figure and our back-order price describe different listings and are printed for reference only. Our back-order price is the one shown on the product page.
