Chinese 151 and Japanese 151 share a name, not a card list. Bulbapedia (as of September 30, 2026) gives Collection 151, the Simplified Chinese set, 192 cards and a first release on January 17, 2025, and compares it with the Japanese Pokémon Card 151, which our listing titles file under set code SV2a.
The differences are structural: Bulbapedia says the Chinese set dropped every Trainer card, dropped all 18 illustration rares of the Japanese expansion and added four new Pikachu illustration rares numbered 170 to 173 out of 151. The official special site, special.pokemon.cn/151, describes the packs and the Master Ball pattern cards.

Two Sets Named 151
The Japanese set is titled 強化拡張パック「ポケモンカード151」 in our listing titles and Enhanced Expansion Pack “Pokemon Card 151” in English. The Chinese set is 收集啦151 (Collection 151), and special.pokemon.cn/151 carries the title 宝可梦卡牌 收集啦151.
Bulbapedia’s Collection 151 page says the set was revealed on December 22, 2024 and “was first released on January 17, 2025”, and calls it the first subset released in the Simplified Chinese Scarlet & Violet era. The same page then lists what the Chinese set changed from the Japanese expansion.
Both sets carry the numbers 170 to 173. In the Chinese set those numbers are the four Pikachu illustration rares, written as 170/151 to 173/151. In the Japanese set the denominator is 165, so a Pikachu numbered 173/165 is a different card from the Pikachu numbered 173/151.

The Japanese starter-line special-art cards that Bulbapedia says were removed appear in our Japanese listings as Venusaur ex SAR 200/165 at ¥23,011 (~$149), Charizard ex SAR 201/165 at ¥78,601 (~$510) and Blastoise ex SAR 202/165 at ¥28,560 (~$185). Those are Japanese SV2a prints; the Chinese set does not carry them.

Bulbapedia names the four boosters and states what each includes. The official site special.pokemon.cn/151 names three of these packs, 收集啦151 望, 惊 and 聚, and prints no release dates; the dates in the table are Bulbapedia’s.

The Scare-pack date is not confirmed: Bulbapedia’s infobox prints July 18, 2015 and its body text prints July 18, 2025.

Pikachu AR: Chinese 170–173/151 vs Japanese 173/165
Bulbapedia describes the four Chinese Pikachu ARs as illustration rare prints, each illustrated by Oswaldo KATO, added to the set and “currently exclusive to the Simplified Chinese language”. Our listing titles for these Pikachu cards use the tag [151C] or [151 C] with [CN].

The Japanese Pikachu AR in our listings is numbered 173/165 and is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥13,158 (~$85). Bulbapedia states that all 18 illustration rares of the Japanese expansion were removed from the Chinese set, so the Japanese 173/165 is not in Collection 151.
Poke Ball and Master Ball Versions
The official Chinese special site says that the C, U and R cards of Collection 151 each exist in a version with a Poké Ball pattern (精灵纹样) and a version with a Master Ball pattern (大师球纹样). Bulbapedia counts 139 Common, Uncommon and Rare cards in the set and describes two Reverse Holofoil variants for each, one with a Poké Ball motif and a rarer one with a Master Ball motif.
Our Japanese listing titles use the finish names “Master Ball Mirror” and “Monster Ball Mirror”; the Pikachu C 025/165 and the Gengar R 094/165 appear with both.
