30th Celebration Card Set: All 27 Starter Promo Cards Checklist

30th Celebration Card Set: All 27 Starter Promo Cards Checklist

Twenty-seven starter Pokemon, one card each, spread across nine small ¥1,200 boxes — that’s the shape of the last confirmed release in Pokemon Card Game’s 30th Celebration line-up. The 30th CELEBRATION Card Set pairs a foil full-art promo trio with two random-card expansion packs, and it lands on shelves on October 16, 2026, a full month after the main 30th CELEBRATION booster box and Premium Deck Set.

This is a checklist first: every one of the 27 promos, its number, and which of the nine regional trios it belongs to. Alongside that, we cover what’s actually in each box, who illustrated the confirmed cards, and how the Pokémon Center Online lottery and Amazon invite system work for this specific product. We ship Japanese sealed Pokemon product out of Tokyo, so we’ve also flagged two currently listed starter-trio releases you can order while this one is still pre-release.

Key Takeaways

The Card Set is nine separate ¥1,200 boxes, each with 3 foil full-art starter promos (numbered 101/M-P–127/M-P, confirmed per compiled checklists), two 6-card “30th CELEBRATION” expansion packs, and a paper card stand — release October 16, 2026. Only three illustrator credits have been reported so far, by the fan database gamepedia (Orca, MINAMINAMI Take, Saboteri). For Japanese starter-trio product available right now, see the currently listed Special Deck Set ex Venusaur & Charizard & Blastoise.

What Is the 30th Celebration Card Set?

The official Japanese name is 「30th CELEBRATION カードセット <3 starters>」, sold as nine separate boxes, one per generation’s starter trio. Each box carries an MSRP of ¥1,200 (~$7.55) including tax and releases on October 16, 2026 (Friday) — a month after the main 30th Celebration booster box and Premium Deck Set, which both released September 16.

Every box contains the same three components: one foil (キラ), full-illustration (フルイラスト) promo card for each of the three regional starters; two packs of the “30th CELEBRATION” expansion, each pack randomly sealing 6 cards; and a paper card stand sized for three cards. The official product copy frames the promos as the “first partner Pokemon” of nine regions across the mainline game series, rendered in full-illustration art.

This sits alongside the wider 30th Celebration line-up we’ve already covered in our Pokemon 30th anniversary cards guide and our dedicated Card Set starter Pokemon guide, which tracks this specific release as it develops.

All 27 Starter Promos: Full Checklist

The full run is numbered 101/M-P through 127/M-P in set order, from Bulbasaur to Quaxly, confirmed per compiled checklists (consistent with snkrdunk’s numbering and with the image filenames on the official product page, promo_101 through promo_127); the official page itself still doesn’t print the numbers as text. Here’s the complete checklist, grouped by box:

Collecting the full run means nine separate purchases at ¥1,200 each — ¥10,800 (~$68) for all 27 promos before shipping, since the boxes aren’t sold as a bundled case. Every card is described by the official page as foil (キラ) with full-illustration (フルイラスト) art; the 27 are described as new full-art promos (card details unpublished).

The Nine Regional Starter Trios

The official page groups the promos by “the first partner Pokemon of nine regions” without naming the regions in the source text; the Kanto-through-Paldea labels below are our own organisational grouping for readability, not official Pokemon Company wording.

Full game text and HP for the 27 promos hasn’t been published on the official page as of this writing, so we’re not listing attacks or stats here — only what’s confirmed: card name, number, and box.

Who Illustrated the 27 Promos?

Illustrator credits for this release are only partially public. Japanese card database Gamepedia lists three confirmed so far: Bulbasaur (101/M-P) by Orca, Charmander (102/M-P) by MINAMINAMI Take, and Squirtle (103/M-P) by Saboteri. The remaining 24 illustrator credits haven’t been published or confirmed at the time of writing — treat any claim that a single artist drew all 27 as unverified.

This is a smaller, more fragmented credit list than the main 30th Celebration booster box, where YOSHIROTTEN is confirmed as the illustrator behind the Mew ex and Mewtwo ex FUR cards and the guaranteed foil Basic Energy card. If you’re tracking that artist’s work across the anniversary line-up, our FUTURISTIC BOX guide and Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon guide cover his confirmed cards in that release in more detail.

How to Get the Card Set: PCO Lottery & Amazon

The Card Set is allocated through documented lottery and invitation channels (Pokémon Center Online, Amazon) rather than open first-come sales. Pokemon Center Online’s own product page confirmed an application window of 2026-08-28 12:00 through 2026-08-31 16:59 JST for the Card Set — this is Pokemon Center’s own retail lottery in Japan, separate from anything Samurai Sword Tokyo runs. A further additional lottery ran September 11, 16:00 – September 16, 16:59 JST, with results due September 30, 2026, per SNKRDUNK’s lottery roundup (September 9, 2026).

Amazon Japan is also running its release as an invite-request listing: all nine boxes appear at ¥1,200 each with the purchase button replaced by a “request an invitation” option, per Japanese gaming outlet Inside Games (reported August 22, 2026). Hobby retailer Amiami ran an earlier lottery for the same release that has already closed, with results announced July 9.

None of these Japanese retail lotteries are run by Samurai Sword Tokyo. Since this article was first published, we have listed our own All 9 Types Card Set bundle, but it is sold out at the time of this update — restock requests go through Quick Order rather than a normal add-to-cart. See the bundle product page (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) for the current status.

Currently Listed Starter-Trio Alternatives from Japan

If you want Japanese starter-trio product that ships from Tokyo, rather than waiting on an October release, the Special Deck Set ex Venusaur & Charizard & Blastoise is currently listed at ¥38,400 (~$249) and centres on the same three Kanto starters in their final evolutions, across three ready-to-play decks.

The Starter Set ex Eevee ex, a lower-cost entry point built around a different starter, is sold out at the time of this update — restock requests go through Quick Order.

The Special Deck Set is not a substitute for the Card Set’s 27 promos — it’s a separate, already-released product for readers who want Kanto-themed Japanese sealed product without waiting on an unreleased set. While the Card Set itself is still pre-release (October 16, 2026), the M6a booster box — the same 30th Celebration line-up the Card Set’s own two expansion packs come from — has released and is already a listed pre-order:

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 30th Celebration Card Set?

It’s nine separate Japanese boxes (one per generation’s starter trio), each ¥1,200 and containing 3 foil full-art starter promos, two 6-card random expansion packs, and a card stand. It releases October 16, 2026.

How many promo cards are there in total, and how much would all nine boxes cost?

27 promo cards across the nine boxes, numbered 101/M-P through 127/M-P. Buying all nine at MSRP comes to ¥10,800 (~$68) before shipping, since the boxes aren’t sold as a single bundle.

Which starter Pokemon are included?

All nine “first partner” trios released so far: Bulbasaur/Charmander/Squirtle, Chikorita/Cyndaquil/Totodile, Treecko/Torchic/Mudkip, Turtwig/Chimchar/Piplup, Snivy/Tepig/Oshawott, Chespin/Fennekin/Froakie, Rowlet/Litten/Popplio, Grookey/Scorbunny/Sobble, and Sprigatito/Fuecoco/Quaxly.

Who illustrated the 27 starter promos?

Only three credits are confirmed publicly: Bulbasaur by Orca, Charmander by MINAMINAMI Take, and Squirtle by Saboteri. The remaining 24 illustrators haven’t been confirmed yet.

Is the Card Set the same as the FUTURISTIC BOX or Premium Deck Set?

No. All three are separate 30th Celebration products. The Premium Deck Set and FUTURISTIC BOX released September 16, 2026 and centre on Espeon ex/Umbreon ex and Pikachu ex respectively; the Card Set releases a month later, October 16, 2026, and is built around the 27 regional starter promos.

How can I get the Card Set from outside Japan?

In Japan it’s allocated through official retailer lotteries, including a Pokemon Center Online application window and an Amazon Japan invite-request listing. We do list an All 9 Types Card Set bundle, but it’s sold out at the time of this update; our Quick Order page is the way to reach us about restocks or Japanese 30th Celebration product generally.
