Franky doesn’t have a confirmed Leader card. Across eight confirmed printings that stretch from the game’s first starter deck through the newest set, the Straw Hat shipwright has stayed a supporting Character — the DON!!-battery and Blocker who props up somebody else’s Leader rather than headlining his own deck.
That leaves a card pool that’s easy to trace by story arc instead of by rarity chase: a Franky Family printing from his Water Seven days, the crew’s earliest sets, a promo that runs under the alternate name “General Franky,” an Egghead-era Rare, and now a confirmed OP17-090 tied to the current Elbaph arc. This guide walks through all eight confirmed Franky printings and flags the one card whose official image isn’t public yet. We source Japanese One Piece Card Game product directly out of Tokyo, so everything here ties back to a set we can point to.
Franky has eight confirmed printings and no confirmed Leader card. His only confirmed Super Rare, OP09-072, carries a confirmed Alternate Art parallel, and the newest — OP17-090, an Elbaph-era Common — is confirmed for the OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors booster box, currently listed at ¥28,000 and shipping on or after August 24, 2026.
Card data is drawn from the official OP card list and the LimitlessTCG card database. This is a sourcing guide — it does not list individual Franky singles as in-stock inventory. Pricing here is limited to the OP-17 booster box, the current sealed-product route to Franky’s newest card.

No Leader card and no Secret Rare turn up for Franky in this review of the official list, and only one card — OP09-072 — carries the game’s Super Rare treatment so far. What the eight printings do trace clearly is his backstory: a Water Seven-era Rare from before he joined the Straw Hats (OP04-063), the crew’s earliest sets (ST01, OP01), a promo running under his old alias General Franky, an Egghead-arc Rare (OP07-107), and now an Elbaph-arc Common (OP17-090). It’s a collection built around story arcs rather than a single chase print.
The Franky Family: OP04-063 and Water Seven
OP04-063 is a purple Rare from OP04 Kingdoms of Intrigue, and its type field is the tell: Water Seven and The Franky Family, the shipbuilding gang Franky led before he ever joined the Straw Hats. Its effect triggers on the opponent’s attack — pay 1 DON!! to give the Leader or a Character +1000 power — but only when your Leader is tagged {Water Seven}, tying the card’s usefulness directly to that same era.
It’s the one confirmed Franky printing whose type points to his life before the crew rather than during it, which makes it the natural starting card if you’re collecting by story arc rather than by set number.
The Original Printings: ST01-010 and OP01-021
ST01-010 is Franky’s earliest confirmed printing, a red Common from ST01 Straw Hat Crew — the game’s first starter deck. It’s a high-power vanilla body for its cost bracket, and it’s been reprinted since in the Premium Card Collection -25th Edition- and the English Version 1st Anniversary Set.
OP01-021 followed one set later in OP01 Romance Dawn, the game’s first mainline booster. With DON!!x1 attached, it can attack an opposing Character that’s still active rather than only a rested one. It’s also the most reprinted Franky card confirmed in this review, turning up again in Tournament Pack Vol.2 (with a full art version), the FILM RED Edition premium collection, Championship 2023, and Gift Collection 2023.
Together the two mark Franky’s first year in the game, and both are common enough across reprints that they’re the natural starting point for a Franky collection built set by set.
The Other Name: General Franky (P-027)
P-027 is a promo-only printing whose card name reads “General Franky” rather than plain “Franky” — but the official ruling treats it as [Franky] for deckbuilding purposes, so it slots into a Franky-themed deck the same as any other copy. Its effect works on the opponent’s turn, boosting every Character at base power 3000 or under by +1000. It was distributed through Event Pack Vol.2 and reprinted again in the Championship 2023 Event Pack — both limited-run promotional products rather than standard booster packs.
The Blockers: OP09-072 and OP10-090
Two Franky printings share the [Blocker] keyword, and both carry a confirmed Alternate Art version.
OP09-072, a purple Super Rare from OP09 Emperors in the New World, is Franky’s only confirmed Super Rare so far. On top of Blocker, its on-play effect pays 2 DON!! and trashes a card from hand to draw two — a card-advantage engine wrapped around a defensive body.
OP10-090, a black Rare from OP10 Royal Blood, pairs Blocker with a K.O. trigger: when it’s knocked out, it deploys a cost-3-or-under {Dressrosa} Character straight from the trash, tying its effect to the Dressrosa arc rather than Water Seven or Egghead.
Both give a Franky-focused deck defensive stability, and OP09-072’s Alternate Art is currently his highest-rarity confirmed printing. Collectors chasing graded copies of either can check our PSA 10 One Piece cards buying guide for how grading is generally approached across the card pool.
Egghead-Era Artwork: OP07-107
OP07-107, a yellow Rare from OP07 500 Years in the Future, carries a type tag of Egghead alongside Straw Hat Crew — placing its artwork in the Egghead arc alongside the rest of the crew’s current look. Its effect is a Trigger: draw a card, and if your Life is 1 or less, put it directly into play. It carries a confirmed Alternate Art parallel.
It’s a useful marker for sorting a Franky collection by story era rather than set number — the same Egghead type tag shows up across the wider Straw Hat Crew cast for this arc, and it’s the direct predecessor to the Elbaph-tagged OP17-090 below.
New for OP-17: OP17-090
OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors, releasing in Japan on August 22, 2026, adds a confirmed eighth Franky card: OP17-090, a black Common. Its effect gives +3000 power if you control a cost-12-or-more Character, and it K.O.s a cost-2-or-under Character on play — a late-game payoff card. Its type field includes Elbaph alongside Straw Hat Crew, tying the artwork to the current story arc.
OP17-090’s official card image isn’t available yet — OP-17’s card list was still being finalized at the time of this review, so we’re not displaying an unverified image here. We’ll update this guide once the full card list is public.

Why Franky Has No Leader Card
Across this review of the official card list, no Franky Leader card turned up — not in a starter deck, not as a booster pull. That leaves him with a deep bench of Character-slot printings across eight confirmed sets, but no Leader-slot card of his own so far (see also our Brook guide, another Straw Hat crew member).
If a Leader card is confirmed for Franky in a future set, we’ll update this guide.
