PSA 10 Pokemon cards from Japan sit in a wide price range on our store, from listings under ¥5,000 to listings over ¥500,000, and each price belongs to a specific listing.
The six bands show what sits at each price level, with linked examples from the physical catalog and a sample of back-order prices. A physical slab is priced on its product page, and a back order is priced at a listed amount and sourced to order. The PSA10 Charizard VMAX 002/021 is listed at ¥13,478 (~$88), and the physical range reaches the Mario Pikachu XY-P 294 promo at ¥4,928,800 (~$32,005).

- Store listing prices: September 30, 2026.
- Physical slabs and back orders have separate prices and product terms.

What Sits Behind a PSA 10 Price
A PSA 10 listing bundles two facts: the print and the grade. The print comes from the listing name. The grade comes from PSA, and PSA publishes how it is assigned.
How PSA assigns a grade
Per PSA support, each card is graded on a 10-point scale, and the aspects reviewed are surface condition, the sharpness and integrity of the edges, and the centering of the image. Folds, creases, stains or other damage can also affect the grade. Grades do not average out: PSA gives the example of corners at a 6 and surface at an 8, which yields a final grade of 6, because the lowest assessed attribute typically dictates the overall grade. Each submitted card is evaluated by at least two independent PSA graders, and the final grade is at the discretion of PSA’s expert graders. The guide to how hard a PSA 10 is to get covers that standard in more depth, and the PSA 9 vs PSA 10 price-gap guide compares PSA 9 and PSA 10 prices for Japanese cards.
What the label and case carry
Per PSA’s services page, cards are authenticated first, graded on the 1–10 scale, then encapsulated in a sonically sealed, tamper-evident case with the grade and the certification number on the PSA label. That certification number is what you look up before paying, and it is the reason two slabs of the same card number can be compared by grade at a glance. The grading scale examples guide shows PSA 5, 9 and 10 side by side with Japanese card examples.
Read the Listing Name Before Comparing Prices
Two listings with the same Pokemon can be different cards. The name carries the parts that tell them apart.
| Part of the name | What it tells you | Example |
|---|---|---|
| PSA10 | The grade on the slab. | PSA10 Roxanne SR [S9a 081/067] |
| Rarity letters | The rarity as printed: SR, SAR, AR, CHR, CSR, HR, UR and so on. | Roxanne SR; Iron Valiant ex SAR; Roserade CHR |
| Set code | The Japanese set the card came from. | S9a, SV4M, M3, CP3, XY10 |
| Number over set size | The card number and the main set size printed on the card. | 081/067; 089/066; 100/080 |
| Extra markers | Words such as :1ED, Master Ball Mirror, PROMO or Old Back in the name mark a different print. | Flareon EX RR [CP3 006/032] (:1ED) |
The Roxanne SR is listed at ¥5,720 (~$37) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) and the Flareon EX RR :1ED at ¥155,324 (~$1,009). Write the full name into your comparison, not only the Pokemon or Trainer, and the price you find will belong to the print you meant.
PSA 10 Slab or Raw Card
See the PSA 10 vs raw guide for this comparison.
Submitting a raw card involves a grading fee, waiting time and an uncertain grade. A PSA 10 slab has a recorded grade and a listed purchase price. Compare those routes using the exact print and the supplied certification details.
| Question | PSA 10 slab | Raw card |
|---|---|---|
| Who carries grade risk? | The grade is already on the label. | You, after submitting the card. |
| What do you pay before you know the outcome? | The listed price, with the certification available to check. | The card price plus the grading fee. |
| What do you wait for? | Shipping from Tokyo. | The grading service’s turnaround, which PSA describes as estimates only and not guaranteed. |
| What do you check? | Print, certification number and grade. | Condition against PSA’s standard. |
The grading cost comparison compares grading cost with buying a PSA 10 from Japan, and the guide to getting cards graded by PSA lists the submission routes in the US, Japan and Europe.
Checks Before You Pay
Per PSA support, you can verify a slab by scanning the PSA label or QR code in the PSA App, by entering the Certification ID in Text Search, or by using Cert Verification in the Research section of the PSA website. The lookup confirms the certification number and the grade PSA recorded. Compare it with the listing name, keep a screenshot, and message us before paying if anything differs.
- Match the set code, card number and rarity letters to the print you want.
- Confirm the grade in the title, on the label and in the PSA lookup.
- Use the fake slab checklist for what to look for on the slab itself.
- Use the population report guide to understand how many cards of a given grade PSA has recorded.

FAQ
How much does a PSA 10 Pokemon card cost from Japan?
Physical PSA 10 listings run across price bands from under ¥5,000 to over ¥500,000. For example, the Octillery CHR (s8b 191/184) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) is listed at ¥4,222 (~$27) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) and the Charmander (eM 004/018) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) is listed at ¥513,670 (~$3,336) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order). Back orders have their own prices on their product pages.
Why do two PSA 10 cards of the same Pokemon have different prices?
They are usually different prints. The set code, card number and rarity letters in the listing name identify the print, and each print has its own product page and price. Compare the full name, not only the Pokemon, before you decide which listing you mean.
What is a PSA 10 back order price?
Ash’s Pikachu GX (SMD 005/026) is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥242,740 (~$1,576) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. A back-order price belongs to that listing. Compare the named print and ordering terms with the physical slab listing before choosing.
How do I check a PSA 10 slab before paying?
Per PSA support, scan the PSA label or QR code in the PSA App, enter the Certification ID in Text Search, or use Cert Verification in the Research section of the website. The lookup confirms the certification number and the grade PSA recorded. Compare it with the listing name.
Should I buy a PSA 10 slab or grade a raw card myself?
It depends on who carries the risk. A slab has the grade settled, while a raw card adds the grading fee, the wait and the chance of a lower grade. The grading cost comparison and the guide to getting cards graded by PSA lay out both routes in detail.
Does the PSA 10 catalog include cards from other games?
Yes. The catalog includes One Piece slabs such as the Marshall.D.Teach SR-SP (OP09-093) at ¥211,974 (~$1,376) and the Uta SEC-SP (EB03-061) at ¥146,322 (~$950), listed beside the Pokemon cards. Each name gives the set code and card number in the same format.
How do I pay and how do PSA 10 cards ship?
You pay by PayPal or Wise bank transfer, and the order leaves Tokyo with FedEx. A back order is sourced to order, so its product page shows the current terms. Keep your order confirmation, and use the wholesale inquiry page when one order covers several slabs.
What if the PSA 10 card I want is not listed?
Sourcing requests for a specific card go through Quick Order. A print may also have a PSA 10 back-order listing, sourced to order under its product-page terms, such as the Kyogre EX SR (XY5 072/070) at ¥357,000 (~$2,318) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms.
Bottom Line
Physical slabs and back orders carry separate prices and product-page terms. The card list hub links set listing pages.
