The five Joltik prints detailed here are Basic Lightning-type cards, and four of them carry HP 30. They span the 2014 XY era through later Scarlet & Violet and M-series examples, and the Joltik full art cards among them come down to one full-illustration Art Rare.
Two of the five detailed prints — a Common and an Art Rare — are pulled from the same currently listed Japanese booster box.

Joltik Full Art Cards: The Japanese AR Print
Collectors use “full art” for prints whose artwork fills the whole card face. Japanese sets do not print those words: the official card database prints only a rarity code, and the full-art treatments are the SR (full-art ex and Supporter cards), SAR (Special Art Rare), AR (Art Rare), CHR / CSR (Character Rare) and the gold UR and rainbow HR printings.
Among the five prints detailed here, the full-art print is the SV7 Art Rare (AR), illustrated by MARINA Chikazawa and printed in Stellar Miracle with HP 30. See our full art Pokemon cards guide for how the term is used across Japanese sets.
Five Verified Japanese Joltik Prints
Five Japanese Joltik prints, with illustrator, HP and rarity confirmed for each:
| Set / No. | Rarity | Illustrator | HP | Era / release |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| XY4 026 | Common | TOKIYA | 30 | Phantom Gate, XY era (2014–16) |
| SV7 Common print | Common | Nisota Niso | 30 | Stellar Miracle, July 19, 2024 |
| SV7 Art Rare print | Art Rare | MARINA Chikazawa | 30 | Stellar Miracle, July 19, 2024 |
| SV9 028 | Common | Iori Suzuki | 40 | Battle Partners, Scarlet & Violet era (“N’s Joltik”) |
| MC 254 | — | Nisota Niso | 30 | Starter Decks 100 Battle Collection, 2025–26 M-series |
Four of the five prints covered here carry HP 30. The outlier is the SV9 “N’s Joltik.”
The Vintage Print: Phantom Gate (XY4)

The oldest print we’ve verified for Joltik is XY4 026, a Common from Phantom Gate, illustrated by TOKIYA. Phantom Gate belongs to the XY era of the Japanese TCG (2014–16), which makes this the vintage anchor point for anyone assembling a Joltik print run from oldest to newest.
Two Prints, One Box: Stellar Miracle (SV7)
Stellar Miracle (SV7) released July 19, 2024 and has two verified Joltik prints.
The print illustrated by Nisota Niso is the verified Common. The print illustrated by MARINA Chikazawa is the verified Art Rare — a Scarlet & Violet-era full-illustration treatment for a non-ex Pokemon. Both carry HP 30.
Both verified SV7 Joltik prints are pulled from the same booster box — see the Stellar Miracle SV7 full card list for the rest of the set, or the SV7 pull-rates and best-cards guide for how it sits among the set’s other chase cards.
N’s Joltik: Battle Partners (SV9)

SV9 028 is printed as “N’s Joltik” (Nのバチュル) — a Trainer’s-Pokemon variant tied to the character N rather than a standalone Joltik card. Illustrated by Iori Suzuki, it’s a Common from Battle Partners, part of the Scarlet & Violet era.
It’s also the one print in this guide that breaks from the HP 30 pattern: N’s Joltik carries HP 40, ten points higher than every other verified print here.
The M-Series Return: Starter Decks 100 (MC)

The most recent print we’ve verified is MC 254, from the Starter Decks 100 Battle Collection, part of the 2025–26 M-series. It’s illustrated by Nisota Niso — the same artist behind the SV7 Common — and keeps Joltik at HP 30.
Chase Prints and What Makes Them Collectible
Among the five prints verified in detail here, the SV7 Art Rare is the full-illustration treatment covered in this guide; the other four examples are standard cards from boosters and starter products.
That makes the Art Rare the featured chase in this verified group: it uses full-art-scale illustration by a different artist from the SV7 Common.
