Kaido One Piece Cards Guide: Every Kaido Card, Leader, Parallel & Prices (2026)

Kaido One Piece Cards Guide: Every Kaido Card, Leader, Parallel & Prices (2026)

Kaido One Piece cards span three official Leader cards, spread across the game’s first starter-deck cycle, the original Romance Dawn booster, and OP-17. He also has a Secret Rare that is sometimes cited under a code that was never printed — there is no OP05-074. The card people mean is OP05-118.

This guide sorts every confirmed Kaido printing into one reference: his three Leader cards, his two Secret Rares, the run of early Super Rares from OP01 through OP04, and the four new Kaido cards that arrived in OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors on August 22, 2026. We source Japanese One Piece Card Game sealed product out of Tokyo, and this is a sourcing guide — we’re not listing individual Kaido singles here, but every card below is one we can help track down or that ships sealed inside the box covered at the end.

Because Kaido has been reprinted across starter decks, mainline boosters, and now a third product cycle in OP-17, it’s easy to mix up which set introduced which version. Sorted by release, the picture is straightforward: one 2022 starter Leader, a Romance Dawn Leader, four Super Rares spread across 2022–2024, two Secret Rares, and four brand-new cards printed in OP-17.

Key Takeaway

Kaido has eleven confirmed base printings, including three Leader cards (ST04-001, OP01-061, and the new OP17-058) and two Secret Rares (OP05-118 and the co-SEC “Kaido & Linlin,” OP08-119). OP-17, released in Japan on August 22, 2026, added four new Kaido cards, including a new Leader and two Super Rares — one of them with a manga-background super parallel. The OP-17 booster box (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) is listed at ¥17,000, shipping from Tokyo.

Updated September 7, 2026

OP-17 has been released in both Japan (August 22, 2026) and English (August 28, 2026), so all pre-release wording in this guide reflects the printed card data. Kaido has three Leader cards (ST04-001, OP01-061, OP17-058) and OP-17 contributed four new Kaido cards, including a manga-background super parallel. PSA10-graded singles for the early Super Rares and Secret Rares are currently listed and linked below with today’s listing prices; the OP-17 box remains listed at ¥17,000.

OP-17 JP Release

Card data is drawn from the official OP card list and the LimitlessTCG card database, with OP-17 entries cross-checked against community card lists after the set’s Japanese release on August 22, 2026. Set dates shown are English-language release dates as recorded by LimitlessTCG, except OP-17’s Japanese release date, which is confirmed on the official product page. This is a sourcing guide — no individual Kaido singles are sold here; the only market figures quoted are dated listing asks for the new OP-17 cards, for orientation.

Who is Kaido in One Piece?

Kaido is one of the Four Emperors of the New World and the captain of the Beasts Pirates, the crew that ruled over Wano Country before his defeat. He is one of the manga’s central antagonists during the Wano arc. In the One Piece Card Game, that status carries through to his cards: Kaido appears as a Leader card three times (ST04-001, OP01-061, and OP17-058), each built around Purple decks and his Beasts Pirates and Four Emperors traits, and as a Character card across a run of Super Rares and Secret Rares that trace his climbing cost and power from the game’s earliest sets through OP-17.

Every Kaido Card at a Glance

Eleven Kaido base printings are confirmed across the official card list and OP-17’s released card pool, spanning three Leader cards, two Secret Rares, six Super Rares, and one Rare from OP-17:

Code Card Rarity Set Type
ST04-001 Kaido Leader ST04 Animal Kingdom Pirates Leader
ST04-003 Kaido SR ST04 Animal Kingdom Pirates Character (Purple, 9 cost, 10000 power)
OP01-061 Kaido Leader OP01 Romance Dawn Leader (Purple, 4 Life, 5000 power)
OP01-094 Kaido SR OP01 Romance Dawn Character (Purple, 10 cost, 12000 power)
OP04-044 Kaido SR OP04 Kingdoms of Intrigue Character (Blue, 10 cost, 12000 power)
OP05-118 Kaido SEC OP05 Awakening of the New Era Character (Blue, 10 cost, 12000 power)
OP08-119 Kaido & Linlin SEC OP08 Two Legends Character (Purple, 10 cost, 12000 power)
OP17-042 Kaido Rare OP17 The World’s Strongest Warriors Character (Blue, 4 cost, 6000 power, Blocker)
OP17-058 Kaido Leader OP17 The World’s Strongest Warriors Leader (Purple, 5000 power)
OP17-062 Kaido SR OP17 The World’s Strongest Warriors Character (Purple, 10 cost, 12000 power, Blocker)
OP17-063 Kaido SR OP17 The World’s Strongest Warriors Character (Purple, 10 cost, 12000 power)

One correction before going further: OP04-044 is a Character card, not a Leader — it’s a Super Rare with a Blue color identity and a bounce effect. Kaido’s actual Leader cards are ST04-001, from the 2022 Animal Kingdom Pirates starter deck, OP01-061 from OP01 Romance Dawn, and the new OP17-058 from OP-17. There is also no card coded OP05-074; the Secret Rare Kaido from OP05 is OP05-118.

The sections below cover each group in turn, starting with the Leader cards.

Kaido’s Three Leader Cards: ST04-001, OP01-061 and OP17-058

Kaido Leader, ST04-001, ST04 Animal Kingdom Pirates

ST04-001 (Animal Kingdom Pirates)

Kaido’s first Leader card is ST04-001, from the ST04 Animal Kingdom Pirates starter deck released in 2022. It’s a Purple Leader with 5 Life, and its printed effect trashes a Life card by returning 7 DON!! (DON!!−7). This card has also been reprinted once, in the Premium Card Collection —Leader Collection— set.

The starter deck was not Kaido’s only early Leader. OP01-061, from OP01 Romance Dawn, is a Purple Leader with 4 Life and 5000 power, and it has a parallel-art printing alongside the standard version. It is the Leader that sits between the two headline cards in this section, and the one most often forgotten when people count Kaido Leaders — the first version of this guide missed it too.

OP17-058 is the newest Kaido Leader, printed in OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors. It’s Purple with 5000 power, carries the Four Emperors and Beasts Pirates traits, and a parallel-art version exists alongside the standard printing. Per community card lists, its effect is a once-per-turn attack trigger: when attacking, return 1 DON!! (DON!!−1) to give one of your opponent’s Characters −2000 power for the turn. The set has been live in Japan since August 22, 2026, so the card image and Japanese text are now viewable on the official card list.

With OP-17 released, a Kaido Leader deck no longer has to be built around the 2022 starter printing alone — three Leader cards now cover Purple-based Kaido builds, with the OP-17 version pairing naturally with the set’s own Beasts Pirates and Four Emperors support. Early listing asks for the OP17-058 parallel sat in the ¥2,230–2,980 range across Japanese marketplaces (asking prices as of August 24–26, 2026).

The Secret Rares: OP05-118 and Kaido & Linlin (OP08-119)

Kaido Secret Rare, OP05-118, OP05 Awakening of the New Era

OP05-118 SEC (Awakening of the New Era)

Kaido and Linlin Secret Rare, OP08-119, OP08 Two Legends

OP08-119 SEC (Two Legends)

OP05-118 is Kaido’s solo Secret Rare, from OP05 Awakening of the New Era. It’s Blue, 10 cost, 12000 power, and its printed effect draws four cards when the opponent’s Life is three or lower. It has an alternate-art printing in addition to the standard SEC, and it was reprinted with an alternate art in One Piece The Best (PRB01). This is the correct card to reference for a Kaido SEC from OP05 — a code sometimes cited as “OP05-074” does not appear in the official card list.

OP08-119 is a co-Secret Rare shared between Kaido and Big Mom, printed under the card name “Kaido & Linlin” in OP08 Two Legends. It’s Purple, 10 cost, 12000 power, and also has an alternate-art version. A PSA10-graded Kaido & Linlin SEC-P copy pulled from a Two Legends booster pack is currently listed at ¥18,290 (~$115).

Early Super Rares: ST04-003, OP01-094, and OP04-044

Kaido Super Rare, ST04-003, ST04 Animal Kingdom Pirates

ST04-003 (Animal Kingdom Pirates)

Kaido Super Rare, OP01-094, OP01 Romance Dawn

OP01-094 (Romance Dawn)

ST04-003, the Character-card Kaido from the same 2022 starter deck as his first Leader, is a Purple Super Rare, 9 cost, 10000 power, with an effect that KOs and gains Rush by returning 5 DON!! (DON!!−5). It has been reprinted across five separate products — a wanted-poster-style version in Pillars of Strength, a Tournament Pack Vol. 5 printing (plus an alternate-art variant), a Prize Card version, a Championship 2024 Celebration Pack version, and an alternate-art reprint in One Piece The Best (PRB01). That’s the widest reprint history of any Kaido card confirmed so far.

OP01-094 is the Super Rare Kaido from OP01 Romance Dawn, the game’s original booster set. It’s Purple, 10 cost, 12000 power, with a board-wipe style effect that KOs all opposing Characters by returning 6 DON!! (DON!!−6). An alternate-art version is confirmed in its print history, along with a Prize Card alternate-art printing. A PSA10-graded OP01-094 souvenir copy from a Flagship Battle October Victory event is currently listed at ¥115,050 (~$724).

OP04-044 is the Super Rare Kaido from OP04 Kingdoms of Intrigue — the card sometimes mistaken for a Leader, as noted above. It’s Blue, 10 cost, 12000 power, with a bounce effect that returns two Character cards to their owner’s hand. Its print history includes an alternate-art version, a separate printing tied to the Awakening of the New Era set, and an alternate-art reprint in One Piece The Best (PRB01). A PSA10-graded OP04-044 SR-SPC copy pulled from an Awakening of the New Era booster pack is currently listed at ¥34,619 (~$218).

OP04-044 (Kingdoms of Intrigue)

Together, these three Super Rares track Kaido’s power and cost climbing across the game’s first four mainline sets — from a 9-cost/10000-power starter deck card to a pair of 10-cost/12000-power booster pulls. OP-17 continues that line with two more 10-cost/12000-power Super Rares, covered next.

New for OP-17: Four New Kaido Cards

OP-17 The World’s Strongest Warriors, released in Japan on August 22, 2026, added more new Kaido material than any single set since his 2022 debut — four cards, spanning a new Leader, two new Super Rares (one with a manga-background super parallel), and a new Rare carrying the Rocks Pirates trait. The English-language OP-17 release follows on August 28, 2026. Effect summaries below are paraphrased from community card lists compiled after release; the official card database should be treated as the authoritative wording.

  • OP17-058 — the new Leader card, covered above, with a parallel-art printing alongside the standard version.
  • OP17-062 — a Super Rare, Purple, 10 cost, 12000 power, with the Blocker keyword. Per community card lists, its effect works on DON!! acceleration: during your turn, when your DON!! cards are returned to the deck, add one DON!! from the deck as active, then set up to one DON!! as active. It exists in three versions inside OP-17 — the standard SR, a parallel (SR-P) illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki, and a manga-background super parallel (SR-SP) — making it the only Kaido card in this guide with a confirmed comic-style parallel.
  • OP17-063 — the second Super Rare, also Purple, 10 cost, 12000 power. Per community card lists, it gives Characters in your hand that have no Counter value +1000 Counter, and has a once-per-turn Main-phase effect: if it was played this turn, return 1 DON!! (DON!!−1) to K.O. one opposing Character with a cost of 6 or lower, with that card’s effects negated. A parallel-art version exists.
  • OP17-042 — a Rare, Blue, 4 cost, 6000 power, with the Blocker keyword. It carries the Rocks Pirates trait — a trait none of the other Kaido cards in this guide carry — and, per community card lists, its On Play effect lets you reveal three Rocks Pirates cards from hand to give an opposing Character −3000 power for the turn.

Card images for all four are now viewable on the official card list following the August 22 release. Early Japanese marketplace listings give a first sense of where the chase versions sit. The OP17-062 manga super parallel (SR-SP) was listed at asks ranging from ¥85,000 to ¥178,000 across marketplaces (listing/asking prices as of August 24–26, 2026; one shop listing at ¥138,000 was already sold out), a wide spread that reflects how few copies had surfaced in the first days. The OP17-062 Itagaki parallel (SR-P) was listed at ¥18,800–19,800 (asking prices as of August 24–26, 2026). These are first-week listing asks, not sale data, and they will move as more boxes are opened.

Why This Matters for Sourcing

All four new Kaido cards — the new Leader, the two Super Rares including the manga super parallel, and the Rocks Pirates Rare — come out of the same OP-17 booster box, all printed in the same set.
