Lapras doesn’t headline Pokémon’s 30th anniversary set the way Mewtwo ex or the two Pikachu ex chase cards do. But its AR printing at 106/103 is worth knowing about for one specific reason: it’s one of the lowest-numbered cards in a compiled Art Rare block that, as of the official card list published September 9, 2026, is now known to run 104–123 — 20 cards in M6a 30th CELEBRATION.
The set has now shipped — Pokémon’s official Japanese release date was September 16, 2026 — and our M6a booster box remains listed as a pre-order shipping from Tokyo. What follows is a fact-checked breakdown of what’s actually known about card 106/103: its rarity, its artwork, its place in the set’s numbering, and the anniversary product that is currently listed.
Lapras carries the AR (Art Rare) treatment at 106/103 in M6a 30th CELEBRATION, part of a compiled AR block now known to run 104–123 (20 cards, all now shown). Unofficial resale predictions from Japanese aggregator snkrdunk (29 Aug 2026) put it around ¥1,500 (~$9) — one of the set’s more affordable secret rares; no release-day marketplace figure specific to Lapras AR exists in this update. Lapras’s regular main-set printing, 011/103, is illustrated by Masa and is an official card-database entry. The set has released, and our M6a booster box remains listed as a pre-order at ¥25,000 sealed; the no-shrink option is sold out. Anniversary product from the 25th cycle is also currently listed, including the S8A 25th Anniversary Collection Booster Box at ¥67,200 (~$436).
30th CELEBRATION released worldwide on September 16, 2026. All 20 AR slots (104–123) have now been seen — Kommo-o (119) and Ditto (121), the two still pending on September 10, surfaced with release-day marketplace listings. Lapras’s regular main-set print at 011/103 remains a database entry (illustrator Masa); the AR block is still not. Store: our M6a box is listed as a pre-order at ¥25,000 sealed (no-shrink sold out); the S8a box is now ¥67,200; the 25th Anniversary Golden Box is currently listed at ¥257,500.
Full card list: every card of the set with its official image, in number order — 30th CELEBRATION (M6a) card list (all 173 cards).
Yen figures below that are our own store prices convert at ¥154/USD; unofficial predictions use their original source’s rate. Every price attached to an M6a 30th CELEBRATION secret rare in this guide is either a dated release-day marketplace ask or an unofficial pre-release prediction, sourced and dated as such — Pokémon still has not published pull rates, and for cards like Lapras AR without a release-day figure in this update, no real transaction price exists to cite.
What Is Lapras AR 106/103?
Lapras AR at card number 106/103 is confirmed by three independent sources agreeing on the same number and rarity: Japanese price aggregator price-base.com, JP aggregator snkrdunk, and Bulbapedia’s community set-list table. All three list it identically as “Lapras AR · 106/103.” Like the rest of the AR/SAR/FUR block, it is compiled from official images rather than a card-database entry — the official database still covers only the main set (001–103), the Classic Collection (136–165) and Basic Energy as of release day.
The card is pictured on Pokémon’s official M6a product page, appearing on a feature tile alongside Lycanroc. That tile sits within a section of the page Pokémon groups under a “day in the life” visual theme. The set’s two Pikachu ex SARs (day at 126/103, night at 127/103) are the only cards Japanese aggregator coverage assigns a specific day-or-night label to; Lapras is simply pictured in the section without one.

Card Details: Artwork and Attacks
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Card number | 106/103 (AR) |
| Rarity | AR (Art Rare) |
| Set | M6a 30th CELEBRATION (Japanese) |
| AR illustrator | Not published — AR-block illustrators are not known and should not be assumed to match the main-set artist |
| Main-set print (011/103) | Illustrator Masa — official card database |
| Confirmed by | price-base.com, snkrdunk, Bulbapedia (independent agreement); AR compiled, not database-listed |
Per PokeBeach’s September 9, 2026 translation, Lapras (Water, HP130, Basic) has two attacks, and the AR at 106/103 carries the same card text as the regular 011/103 print:
- Ferry Across ([C]) — Search your deck for a Supporter card, reveal it to your opponent, and add it to your hand. Then shuffle your deck.
- Ice Beam ([W][C][C]), 80 damage — Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent’s Active Pokémon is now Paralyzed.
Weakness is Metal ×2, Retreat cost 2. On the artwork, snkrdunk’s aggregator description (unofficial, not an official caption) describes Lapras relaxing on open water while Shaymin, a Spheal, and a Psyduck gather around it — consistent with the wider cast of Pokémon that keeps showing up across this set’s “day in the life” artwork.
Where Lapras Sits in the Secret-Rare Numbering
M6a 30th CELEBRATION’s base set closes at 103/103 (the trainer card Pokémon Switch), but the compiled secret rares run past that, to 165/103. Card 106/103, our Lapras, sits third from the bottom of the AR block.
As of the official card list published September 9, 2026, here’s how the full secret-rare structure now stacks up:
| Rarity block | Numbers | Notable cards |
|---|---|---|
| AR (Art Rare) | 104–123 (20 cards, all now shown) | Lapras 106, Drifloon 111, Lycanroc 113, Hisuian Zorua 122, Maushold 123 |
| SAR (Special Art Rare) | 124–133 (10 cards, all now shown) | Pikachu ex (Day) 126, Pikachu ex (Night) 127 |
| FUR (Futuristic Rare) | 134–135 | Mewtwo ex 134, Mew ex 135 (both YOSHIROTTEN) |
| Classic Collection reprints | 136–165 (all 30 confirmed in the official card list; 151 and 152 are the two halves of Darkrai & Cresselia LEGEND and share one database entry) | Charizard 137, “Crystal” Lugia 142, Magikarp 165 (highest number) |
All 20 AR slots have now been shown: Kommo-o (119) and Ditto (121), the two that were still pending as of September 10, 2026, surfaced with release-day marketplace listings on SNKRDUNK (September 16, 2026; lowest asks ¥1,000 each). The other 18, including Nidorina (114), Alolan Meowth (115) and Meowth (120), were already shown in official promotional images before release. AR-block illustrators remain unpublished for all 20.

Two of the other confirmed AR cards have full write-ups of their own: Lycanroc AR 113/103 and Hisuian Zorua AR 122/103. The full block, per the compiled list published alongside the September 9 official card list:
| No. | Card | Status |

All 20 sit in the same AR treatment, at the same rarity tier, from the same now-released set — useful context if you’re trying to work out how many AR cards you’ll realistically pull now that M6a is out, rather than treating Lapras as an isolated single.
Unofficial Value Predictions
M6a 30th CELEBRATION has released, but none of the four cards below have a dated release-day marketplace figure in this update — every figure in the table remains the pre-release prediction from snkrdunk (a Japanese aggregator), dated August 29, 2026, and should be read as exactly that.
| Card | Predicted resale | Predicted buyback |
|---|---|---|
| Lapras AR 106/103 | ¥1,500~ (~$9) | ¥1,050 (~$7) |
| Drifloon AR 111/103 | ¥1,000~ (~$6) | ¥700 (~$4) |
| Lycanroc AR 113/103 | ¥1,000~ (~$6) | ¥700 (~$4) |
| Hisuian Zorua AR 122/103 | ¥1,500~ (~$9) | ¥1,050 (~$7) |
Two AR neighbours do have real numbers now: Kommo-o (119) and Ditto (121) each carry a release-day lowest ask of ¥1,000 on SNKRDUNK (September 16, 2026) — the first dated marketplace figures for either card, though not directly comparable to the predictions above since those are forecasts, not asks.
Pokémon has not published pull rates for M6a, and we haven’t seen a reliable per-box or per-pack ratio for the AR block from any source we trust, so we’re not stating one. Against the set’s top pre-release predictions — the two FUR cards and the Pikachu ex SARs were each forecast well into six figures in yen before release (Japanese market sites, September 9, 2026), forecasts now superseded by release-day marketplace asks covered in our other 30th Celebration guides — the AR block, 20 cards deep, reads as the accessible end of M6a’s secret-rare run, at least on paper. On SNKRDUNK, separately, the lowest asking price for a sealed M6a box fell from ¥47,200 on September 1 to ¥28,200 on September 10 and ¥17,500 on release day, September 16, 2026 — all asks, not sale prices.

Pokémon Center Online ran an additional lottery for the FUTURISTIC BOX and Card Set tied to the release — applications ran September 11, 16:00 through September 16, 16:59 JST, with results due September 30, 2026. That was a purchase-lottery entry mechanism, not a stock guarantee, and separate from any Samurai Sword Tokyo listing.

The no-shrink option is sold out at the time of this update; restock requests for it go through Quick Order.
