The Mega Latias ex Box holds one foil promo card, one oversize lenticular promo card and four booster packs, and the official pokemon.com product page gives its launch as October 10, 2025. The Japanese prints of Mega Latias ex are in the Mega Symphonia (M1S) expansion, which the official Japanese page at pokemon-card.com/ex/m1/ dates August 1, 2025 at ¥180 per 5-card pack.
The promo Mega Latias ex in the English box, MEP 11, has no Japanese print listed by Limitless TCG or in the official card database. Bulbapedia calls the promo a print with alternate artwork, so the Japanese comparison runs through the three M1S prints, which pair with three English set prints through shared illustrator credits.
We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. The USD figures use ¥154 to the dollar and are approximate; yen prices are those listed in the store on October 2, 2026.
The official page lists a foil promo card, an oversize lenticular promo card and four booster packs. Limitless TCG and the official database list no Japanese print of Mega Latias ex MEP 11, so the Japanese comparison object is the M1S box and its three Mega Latias ex prints: RR 049/063, SR 079/063 and SAR 088/063. Our M1S box is listed as the M1S Damaged Box at ¥6,913 (~$45) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order).
The box contents and launch date come from the official pokemon.com product page; the promo details and the set mapping are attributed to Bulbapedia and Limitless TCG.
What Is Inside the Mega Latias ex Box
The official page is titled Pokémon TCG: Mega Latias ex Box and prints “Launch: October 10, 2025”. Its description calls the promo a “playable foil promo card” and the second card “an oversize lenticular card with amazing artwork”, and its list reads: “1 foil promo card featuring Mega Latias ex”, “1 oversize lenticular promo card featuring Mega Latias ex” and “4 Pokémon TCG booster packs”.
| Item | As printed on the official page |

| Launch | October 10, 2025 |
| Promo cards | 1 foil promo card featuring Mega Latias ex; 1 oversize lenticular promo card featuring Mega Latias ex |
| Booster packs | 4 Pokémon TCG booster packs |
| Code card | None listed |
| Where sold | The Pokémon Center and where Pokémon TCG products are sold |
Bulbapedia’s merchandise page, as of October 2, 2026, says the box “was released on October 10, 2025 and came with a foil regular-sized and a lenticular Jumbo-sized version of Black Star Promo Mega Latias ex (MEP Promo 011)”, plus “four booster packs, and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live”, and adds that “each box usually contained two Destined Rivals packs and two Mega Evolution packs.” The code card, the Jumbo size and the pack mix are Bulbapedia’s statements. The official list prints no code card, so the two sources conflict on that point, and the official page does not name the expansions the four packs come from.
The Elite Trainer Box and the Build & Battle Box for the same expansion are separate products; the ETB has its own comparison with Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia.
The Promo Card: Mega Latias ex MEP 11
Limitless TCG lists the promo as Mega Promos (MEP) #11, Mega Latias ex, a Basic Dragon Pokémon with HP 280, illustrated by 5ban Graphics, and lists its other prints as Mega Evolution 100, 163 and 181 internationally and Mega Symphonia 49, 79 and 88 in Japan. Limitless shows no Japanese promo print. Bulbapedia’s MEP Black Star Promos list carries the row “011, I, Mega Latias ex (+ Jumbo), Dragon, Mega Latias ex Box”.
The official Japanese card database lists three cards named メガラティアスex as of October 2, 2026, all in M1S, and has no promo (M-P) row for the name.
Bulbapedia’s card page for Mega Latias ex states: “A print of the Regular card with alternate artwork was available as one of the MEP Black Star Promos in the Mega Latias ex Box from October 10, 2025.” The illustrator credit of the promo, 5ban Graphics, coincides with the credit on M1S 049/063 and 079/063, but Bulbapedia describes the promo artwork as alternate, so MEP 11 is not paired with any Japanese card.
Neither Bulbapedia’s MEP Black Star Promos list nor Limitless TCG’s MEP list shows a Mega Latios ex row, and no Mega Latios ex Box exists on pokemon.com as of October 2, 2026. Latios cards in Japanese sets are covered in our Latios Japanese Pokemon cards guide and the pair in the Latias and Latios cards guide.
The Japanese Mega Symphonia (M1S) Box
The official page at pokemon-card.com/ex/m1/ presents 拡張パック「メガブレイブ」 and 「メガシンフォニア」 together. Mega Symphonia is a MEGA expansion pack at ¥180 (tax included), 5 cards per pack, randomly inserted, with the release date 2025年8月1日, August 1, 2025. One feature line announces AR and SAR cards that link up when set in a row (rendering of 「並べることで繋がるAR(アートレア)・SAR(スペシャルアートレア)が収録!」). A Japanese booster box is a sealed box of those packs.
| Official product | Contents as printed | Price (tax included) |
|---|---|---|
| 拡張パック「メガシンフォニア」 | 5 cards per pack, randomly inserted | ¥180 |
| 拡張パック「メガブレイブ」 | 5 cards per pack, randomly inserted | ¥180 |
| プレミアムトレーナーボックス MEGA | 10 packs each of Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia, 172 cards (51 kinds), a card box, a Pokémon coin, an acrylic damage counter set, a damage counter case and premium markers for Poison and Burn | ¥6,350 |
The official card database prints the set size as 063 on the Mega Latias ex prints, which are numbered 049, 079 and 088. The set is covered in the Mega Symphonia complete guide, the Mega Symphonia card list article and the Mega Symphonia card list, and the box is compared with its sibling expansion in the Mega Brave versus Mega Symphonia box guide. Pack-level odds are covered in the Mega Symphonia pull rates and best cards article.
English Box and Japanese Box Side by Side
The two products differ in what they are: a boxed promo set with four packs, and a sealed box of expansion packs.
| Spec | Mega Latias ex Box (English) | M1S booster box (Japanese) |
|---|---|---|
| Release | October 10, 2025 | August 1, 2025 |

| Official source | pokemon.com product gallery | pokemon-card.com/ex/m1/ |

The English box is built around one card as a promo. The Japanese box is built around an expansion, and the Mega Latias ex prints are three of its cards. Print and packaging differences between the markets are set out in our Japanese versus English Pokemon cards comparison.
How the English Mega Evolution Set Maps to M1S
The English expansion behind the set prints is Mega Evolution. Bulbapedia’s set page, as of October 2, 2026, says: “Most of the cards in this set come from the Japanese Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia expansions, with a few reprinted Trainer cards first released in the Japanese Premium Trainer Box MEGA.” The official English overview names Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex among its Mega Evolution Pokémon.
| Fact | English Mega Evolution | Japanese Mega Symphonia |
|---|---|---|
| Release date | September 26, 2025 (pokemon.com) | August 1, 2025 (pokemon-card.com/ex/m1/) |
| Card count | Over 180 (pokemon.com); 188 (Bulbapedia) | Printed set size of 063 in the official database |

Mega Latias ex: Three English Prints and Three Japanese Prints
The official Japanese card database lists three cards named メガラティアスex, all in M1S. Limitless TCG lists three English set prints. The pairs are made on shared illustrator credits, which indicate a likely relationship but do not compare the images themselves.
| English print (Limitless TCG) | Japanese print (official database) | Illustrator credit | Relationship |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mega Evolution 100, Double Rare | M1S 049/063, RR | 5ban Graphics | Same credit |
| Mega Evolution 163, Ultra Rare | M1S 079/063, SR | 5ban Graphics | Same credit |
| Mega Evolution 181, Special Art Rare | M1S 088/063, SAR | AKIRA EGAWA | Same credit |
| Mega Promos 11, promo | No Japanese print listed | 5ban Graphics | Bulbapedia: alternate artwork |
Bulbapedia’s infobox pairs 100/132 with Mega Symphonia 049/063, 163/132 with 079/063 and 181/132 with 088/063, and its captions credit 5ban Graphics for the Regular and Full Art ultra rare prints and AKIRA EGAWA for the special illustration rare print. Rarity labels differ by source: Limitless’s Japanese entry labels 079 “Secret Rare” while the database prints the SR icon, so the rarity codes follow the database.
The database prints the same card text on all three: a Basic Dragon Pokémon with HP 280, the attack ひるがえす for 40 with one Colorless Energy, which can swap the Pokémon with a Benched Pokémon if the player chooses, and the attack ミラージュインパルス for 300 with Fire, Psychic and Colorless Energy, which discards all Energy from the Pokémon (rendering). The special rule gives the opponent 3 Prize cards when a Mega Evolution ex is Knocked Out. There is no Weakness and no Resistance, and the retreat cost is 1. Limitless’s English entry reads “Mega Latias ex – Dragon – 280 HP”. Every Japanese print is covered in the Mega Latias ex every Japanese print guide and the Latias Japanese Pokemon cards guide.
Mega Latias ex RR 049/063

The RR is the regular print and pairs with Mega Evolution 100 by credit, 5ban Graphics.
Mega Latias ex SR 079/063

The SR pairs with Mega Evolution 163 and carries the same 5ban Graphics credit.
Mega Latias ex SAR 088/063 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order)

The SAR is credited to AKIRA EGAWA, unlike the 5ban Graphics credit on the RR and SR, and pairs with Mega Evolution 181.
Dated SNKRDUNK Asks by Print
The SNKRDUNK page for each Mega Latias ex print lists asks by condition, and the figures are dated October 2, 2026. The PSA 10 column is the page’s PSA 10 row of the grid; the ungraded column takes the lowest ask among the other tiers. Asks are sellers’ listed prices, not records of sales.
| Japanese print | Ungraded lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 2, 2026 | PSA 10 lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 2, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Mega Latias ex M1S 049/063 RR | Display floor of ¥1,000, not a listed ask | ¥5,500 (~$36) (weak: thin page) |
| Mega Latias ex M1S 079/063 SR | Display floor of ¥1,000, not a listed ask | ¥3,999 (~$26) |
| Mega Latias ex M1S 088/063 SAR | ¥2,801 (~$18) | ¥11,790 (~$77) |
The two ¥1,000 entries are the marketplace’s display floor. The RR’s PSA 10 figure comes from a page with few listings overall, which makes it a weaker figure than the other two.
PSA 10 Mega Latias ex Listings
PSA 10 designates Gem Mint condition per PSA’s published grading standards. The SR is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥4,525 (~$29) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. Back order mechanics are set out in the PSA 10 back orders hub. The SAR is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥11,730 (~$76).
| Japanese print | PSA 10 back order | SNKRDUNK PSA 10 lowest ask, October 2, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Mega Latias ex SR M1S 079/063 | ¥4,525 (~$29) | ¥3,999 (~$26) |
| Mega Latias ex SAR M1S 088/063 | ¥11,730 (~$76) | ¥11,790 (~$77) |

Frequently Asked Questions
What is in the Mega Latias ex Box?
The official pokemon.com page lists 1 foil promo card featuring Mega Latias ex, 1 oversize lenticular promo card featuring Mega Latias ex and 4 Pokémon TCG booster packs. The official list prints no code card, while Bulbapedia’s merchandise page reports a code card for Pokémon TCG Live, so the two sources conflict.
When did the Mega Latias ex Box launch?
The official page prints Launch: October 10, 2025. The English Mega Evolution expansion has a Release Date of September 26, 2025 on pokemon.com, and the Japanese Mega Symphonia (M1S) expansion has a release date of August 1, 2025 on the official Japanese page.
How much does the Mega Latias ex Box cost?
The official pokemon.com page prints no price for the box. The official Japanese page prints ¥180 (tax included) for a 5-card Mega Symphonia pack. The official page lists 4 Pokémon TCG booster packs and does not name the expansions. Bulbapedia’s merchandise page, as of October 2, 2026, says each box usually contained two Destined Rivals packs and two Mega Evolution packs, and that statement is Bulbapedia’s alone.
Is the Mega Latias ex promo printed in Japanese sets?
Limitless TCG lists no Japanese promo print of MEP 11, and the official Japanese card database has no promo row for Mega Latias ex. Bulbapedia calls the promo a print with alternate artwork, although its 5ban Graphics credit matches the M1S 049/063 and 079/063 credits.
Which Japanese cards match the English Mega Latias ex prints?
Matched by illustrator credit, Mega Evolution 100, 163 and 181 pair with M1S 049/063 RR, 079/063 SR and 088/063 SAR. The credits are 5ban Graphics, 5ban Graphics and AKIRA EGAWA, and a shared credit does not establish that two prints show the same image.
Is there a Mega Latios ex Box?
No Mega Latios ex Box exists on pokemon.com as of October 2, 2026. Neither Bulbapedia’s MEP Black Star Promos list nor Limitless TCG’s MEP list shows a Mega Latios ex row, so the Mega Latias ex promo has no Latios counterpart on either list.
