OFFICIAL UPDATE (August 31, 2026): Mega Lucario Z ex is now official. At the Pokémon World Championships 2026 closing ceremony, an official video revealed Mega Lucario Z ex — whose Ability is literally named “Aura Seeker” — plus four new MA rares (Mega Greninja ex, Mega Rayquaza ex, Mega Darkrai ex and Mega Zygarde ex), and announced ex★ (ex Star), the series that will follow the current MEGA series. Release dates and pack names are still unannounced. Full breakdown: everything shown at Worlds 2026.

Six Japanese printings. Seven English prints. And a price spread that runs from ¥1,000 raw to a six-figure PSA 10.
Mega Lucario ex has been printed across four sets in two languages since August 2025 — two Japanese sets (Mega Brave and MEGA Dream ex), and two English sets (Mega Evolution and Ascended Heroes, the latter as a reprint). If you’re holding a copy and trying to work out what it’s worth, the card number in the corner matters more than almost anything else. A 228/193 and a 092/063 can look similar in a binder page and sit ¥130,000 apart in price.
This guide prices every confirmed Mega Lucario ex printing — Japanese and English — with dated market figures, walks through the products that carry the promo variants, and puts the card in context against Lucario’s other high-value chase prints. We also cover what’s known (and not known) about a possible new Mega Lucario appearance in the still-unannounced Aura Seeker set. This sits alongside our companion guide to every Mega Rayquaza printing, and our broader Lucario card guide if you want the character’s full print history.
Six Japanese Mega Lucario ex printings are confirmed across two sets. The MUR 092/063 leads the field at a PSA 10 ask around ¥136,000, with our own graded copy currently listed at ¥142,737 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) — close to the open market. The English set’s SAR 179/132 and gold secret rare 188/132 are the priciest English prints, at roughly $204 and $272.
Japanese prices are SNKRDUNK minimum asking prices as of August 19, 2026, rank A (near mint) unless noted; PSA 10 figures are the lowest current graded ask. English prices are TCGplayer market prices (raw, near mint). USD conversions use about ¥147/USD (August 2026). English PSA 10 data was not available at time of writing and is not included.
The 2025 Originals: Mega Brave (M1L)
Mega Brave, released August 1, 2025, is where Mega Lucario ex debuted, and it’s the source of the card’s four most valuable prints.
The 092/063 MUR (Mega Ultra Rare), illustrated by 5ban Graphics, is the chase card — a full-gold-foiled top rarity that carries raw asks of ¥38,000–¥50,000 (about $260–$340) and a PSA 10 floor around ¥136,000 (roughly $925). One ARS10+ graded copy is asked at ¥728,000 (a single listing — reference only, not a market price).
The 088/063 SAR, by Atsushi Furusawa, sits a tier below at ¥7,666–¥8,500 raw and ¥20,200 in PSA 10 — the most accessible way to own a special-art-style Mega Lucario ex from the original set.
In Mega Brave, rarity runs RR → SR → SAR → MUR, but the price jump isn’t even across the ladder — RR to SR barely moves (¥5,500 to ¥6,700), while the real gap sits at the top: SAR PSA 10 ¥20,200 vs. MUR PSA 10 ¥136,000, nearly 7x.
The MEGA Dream ex Reprints (M2a)
MEGA Dream ex, the high-class pack that followed on November 28, 2025, reprinted Mega Lucario ex twice — at lower rarity slots than the original Mega Brave run.
The 228/193 MA (Mega Art) is the set’s own take on the character — a separate 5ban Graphics “Mega Art” treatment with bold MEGA BRAVE lettering, not a reprint of the Mega Brave art — and it prices close to the original SR: ¥1,000 raw and ¥6,400 in PSA 10. Some Japanese collecting guides list this rarity slot as a seventh Mega Lucario ex entry because of a separately tracked foil-variant individual, but the standard MA is the print most collectors will encounter.
The 092/193 RR is a lower-rarity rerun of the MUR’s card number from MEGA Dream ex — artwork correspondence to the 092/063 MUR isn’t separately documented — with a much thinner secondary market and no separately tracked price at the time of writing.
English Prices: Mega Evolution & Ascended Heroes
Mega Lucario ex has seven confirmed English printings, spread across two sets: Mega Evolution (ME01, released September 26, 2025) and its reprint appearance in Ascended Heroes (released January 30, 2026). English card images aren’t shown here — see the Japanese prints above for artwork.
| # | Card & No. | Rarity | Set | USD (TCGplayer) | EUR (Cardmarket) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 188/132 gold Secret Rare | Mega Hyper Rare | Mega Evolution | $271.69 | €199.32 |
| 2 | 179/132 | Special Art Rare | Mega Evolution | $204.55 | €187.75 |
| 3 | MEP 033 | Black Star Promo | Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection | $13.18 | €11.88 |
| 4 | 160/132 | Ultra Rare | Mega Evolution | $12.51 | €10.77 |
| 5 | MEP 012 | Black Star Promo (etched) | Figure Collection | $1.59 | €1.26 |
| 6 | 113/217 | Double Rare (reprint) | Ascended Heroes | $0.97 | €1.13 |
| 7 | 77/132 | Double Rare | Mega Evolution | $0.77 | €1.02 |
The gap between the top and bottom of this table is stark: the 188/132 gold secret rare (Mega Hyper Rare) trades at $271.69 — more than 350 times the $0.77 base-rarity 77/132 Double Rare. The 179/132 Special Art Rare, one of the set’s full-art alternate-art chase cards, isn’t far behind at $204.55. Both promo cards — MEP 012 from the Figure Collection and MEP 033 from the Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection — sit in low single or double digits, closer to their common-rarity cousins than to the set’s secret rares.
Notably, the Japanese MUR at roughly $925 (PSA 10) sits well above every English printing, including the $271.69 gold secret rare — a wide gap between the two markets, at least in this card’s case.
The PSA 10 Graded Market
Every Japanese Mega Lucario ex printing has active PSA 10 asks on the Japanese secondary market as of August 19, 2026. The MUR 092/063 is the clear standout at ¥136,000, with the SAR 088/063 a distant second at ¥20,200, and the SR 078/063 and MA 228/193 clustering close together around ¥6,400–¥6,700.
We currently carry graded copies across three of these printings. Our PSA 10 Mega Lucario ex 092/063 MUR is currently listed at ¥142,737 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order) — close to the ¥136,000 open-market ask, reflecting how tight the spread is on the set’s top card right now. The PSA 10 088/063 SAR is listed at ¥20,574 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), and the PSA 10 228/193 MA is listed at ¥6,633 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order). These are individually graded, one-of-one listings — when a specific copy sells, it’s gone from that page.
The SR 078/063 in PSA 10 is not currently in our stock; sourcing on this printing runs through Quick Order.
Figure Collection, the ETB, and the “Mega Lucario ex Box” Myth
Two English products carry the Mega Lucario name, but only one includes a Mega Lucario ex promo card:
- Mega Lucario ex Figure Collection (released November 7, 2025, $29.99) — includes the etched promo MEP 012, an oversized card, a Mega Lucario figure, and five booster packs.
- Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Box (Mega Lucario art, released September 26, 2025, 9 packs) — despite carrying Mega Lucario artwork on the box, the promo card packed inside is Riolu, not Mega Lucario ex. Buyers expecting a Mega Lucario ex promo from this specific ETB should note the mismatch before ordering.
There is no confirmed standalone “Mega Lucario ex Box” product — if you see one listed, it’s either a Figure Collection under a different name or an unofficial listing.
Lucario’s Current Record Asks
Mega Lucario ex’s ¥136,000 PSA 10 ask is the character’s current high point among currently produced cards, but not the highest ask across its whole print history. One older Lucario print still outranks it:
| Card | Set | Year | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lucario VSTAR HR contest promo [S-P 305] | “Lucario HR Sodatsusen” winner promo | 2022 | PSA 10 ask ¥344,000 |
| Lucario & Melmetal GX UR [SM12a 224/173] | Tag Team GX Tag All Stars | 2019 | Raw A ¥15,000 / PSA 10 ¥32,300 |
The Lucario VSTAR HR was a limited winner’s promo distributed through a 2022 competitive event (“Lucario HR Sodatsusen”), never sold at retail, and its PSA 10 ask of ¥344,000 remains more than double the current Mega Lucario ex MUR — the only Lucario print that outranks it. The Lucario & Melmetal GX UR, from the 2019 Tag Team GX era, sits below the MUR but is still a five-figure PSA 10 in its own right — and we carry a graded copy of this one too: our PSA 10 Lucario & Melmetal GX UR is currently listed at ¥33,269 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), close to its ¥32,300 open-market ask.
The pattern holds only at the very top: the 2022 event-exclusive S-P 305 promo still commands a premium over the newest Mega-era print, while the 2019 Tag Team GX UR now sits well below it. Mega Lucario ex MUR has become the character’s highest-value currently produced card, and second overall behind the 2022 promo.
Is a New Mega Lucario Coming in Aura Seeker?
Aura Seeker (Japanese: ハドウシーカー) is not an officially announced set. What’s confirmed is limited to a March 10, 2026 trademark filing by Nintendo, Creatures, and Game Freak for “Hadou Seeker,” reported across multiple outlets. Pokemon’s official card database shows no matching product as of August 19, 2026.
PokeBeach reported (May 25, 2026, citing its own sources) that Aura Seeker is set for a November 27, 2026 Japanese release with Mega Lucario Z ex as its headline card — a report The Pokemon Company has not confirmed. Community prediction sites, working from the same trademark and no additional evidence, have converged on the same Mega Lucario Z ex guess, reasoning it from the “Hadou” (aura) name association and Mega Lucario Z’s appearance in the Pokemon Legends Z-A “M-Dimension Rush” DLC. No leaked card images of any kind have surfaced for this set.
If a Mega Lucario Z ex does headline Aura Seeker, it would be a new character variant — distinct from the Mega Lucario ex prints covered in this guide — and would likely follow the same MUR/SAR pricing pattern seen in Mega Brave once (and if) it releases. Until an official announcement lands, treat any specific price, set code, or release date for this set as unconfirmed. See our Aura Seeker complete guide for the current announcement status, and our Aura Seeker release date guide covers the timing question in more depth. For background on the rumored headliner itself, see our Mega Lucario Z TCG guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Mega Lucario ex card is worth the most?
The Japanese Mega Lucario ex 092/063 MUR from Mega Brave, with a PSA 10 ask around ¥136,000 (roughly $925) as of August 19, 2026. Among English printings, the 188/132 gold Secret Rare from Mega Evolution leads at $271.69.
What’s the difference between the MUR, SAR, and MA Mega Lucario ex prints?
MUR (Mega Ultra Rare) is a full-gold-foil top rarity found in Mega Brave (092/063), priced highest at a ¥136,000 PSA 10 ask. SAR (Special Art Rare, 088/063) is a tier below at ¥20,200. MA (Mega Art, 228/193) is a separate fresh illustration from the MEGA Dream ex high-class pack, priced closer to the set’s SR tier at ¥6,400.
Is there a full art or gold Mega Lucario ex in the English Mega Evolution set?
Yes. Mega Evolution includes a 179/132 Special Art Rare (a full-art-style alternate-art card, $204.55) and a 188/132 gold Secret Rare, also called a Mega Hyper Rare ($271.69) — the set’s two most valuable Mega Lucario ex printings.
Does the Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Box include a Mega Lucario ex promo?
No. The Mega Lucario-themed Elite Trainer Box (released September 26, 2025) uses Mega Lucario artwork on the box, but its included promo card is Riolu, not Mega Lucario ex. The Mega Lucario ex promo (MEP 012) comes from the separate Mega Lucario ex Figure Collection instead.
Will Aura Seeker have a new Mega Lucario card?
Unconfirmed. PokeBeach has reported, citing its own sources, that a Mega Lucario Z ex will headline the unannounced Aura Seeker set, with community guesses converging on the same character. No official set announcement, card images, or release date have been confirmed by The Pokemon Company as of August 19, 2026.
