The Nihil Zero booster box is the Japanese-edition box for set code M3, whose official Japanese name is 拡張パック「ムニキスゼロ」 (Expansion Pack “Munikis Zero”). The Pokémon Card official page lists a release date of January 23, 2026, a ¥180 pack price (tax included) and 5 cards per pack.

What is the Nihil Zero booster box?
It is the box form of the Japanese expansion M3, sold in Japan as 拡張パック「ムニキスゼロ」 and called “Nihil Zero” in English by our shop. The name “Nihil Zero” is the English label we use. The official Japanese page does not use it, so when you search Japanese sources you need the katakana name ムニキスゼロ or the code M3.
Our carton listing writes the name as “M3-Munikis Zero (Nihil Zero)”, which is why you will see both spellings across this site. They refer to the same Japanese edition set. The set belongs to the MEGA series, and the official page names Mega Evolution ex cards such as メガジガルデex, メガスターミーex and メガエルレイドex.
The graded cards in our shop carry the same set label. Their product names read “Expansion Pack “Munikis / Nihil Zero”” with an M3 number such as 114/080 or 082/080. We do not state a total card count in this guide, because the official page we use does not list one.
If you want a lineup of the cards before you commit to a purchase, our Nihil Zero (M3) Complete Card List article is the place for that, and the M3 Nihil Zero Complete Guide covers the set more broadly. This article stays on the box, the carton and the buying details.

When was the Nihil Zero booster box released?
The Japanese set was released on Friday, January 23, 2026, according to the official M3 page. The same date applies to the Special Card Set featuring メガエルレイドex.
That date is the Japanese release only. A separate English-language set, Mega Evolution-Perfect Order, has its own dates. The Pokémon press release gives prerelease tournaments beginning March 14, 2026, Pokémon TCG Live on March 26, 2026 and retail on March 27, 2026 for Perfect Order. The Pokémon.com announcement confirms the March 27, 2026 release date.
| Item | Date | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Japanese M3 release | January 23, 2026 | pokemon-card.com |
| Perfect Order prerelease tournaments begin | March 14, 2026 | press.pokemon.com |
| Perfect Order on Pokémon TCG Live | March 26, 2026 | press.pokemon.com |
| Perfect Order retail release | March 27, 2026 | pokemon.com |
The two sets are listed under different names on different official pages. Our comparison article Pokemon Perfect Order Booster Bundle & ETB vs Japanese Nihil Zero Box goes through the buying choice in more detail.
What does the official page say about packs and the box?
The official page confirms a standard pack price of ¥180 (tax included) and 5 cards per pack, with cards randomly inserted. It does not list a box configuration, so we do not state how many packs a box holds.
On the page we rely on, no pack-per-box number appears, and a pack-per-box figure is not something we can source. Do not treat a number from an unsourced post as confirmed.
The same applies to rarities. The official M3 page names no rarity tiers; the only holo marker it mentions is キラ on certain promo cards. The rarity labels you see on our graded cards (AR, SR, SAR) come from the individual product pages, not from the set page. For that reason this guide does not give odds or hit rates. Our separate Nihil Zero booster box pull rates article covers that topic with its own framing.
| Question | Official answer |
|---|---|
| Pack price | ¥180, tax included |
| Cards per pack | 5 |
| How cards are inserted | Randomly (カードはランダムに封入されています) |
| Packs per box | Not listed on the page |
| Rarity names | Not listed on the page |
Which cards does the official page name for Nihil Zero?
The official M3 page names Mega Evolution ex cards, ex cards, Supporters, a Stadium, Items and Energy cards. It does not give a full card list, and it does not attach rarities to the names.
The names it gives are in the table below, kept in the Japanese form the page uses.
| Category | Cards named on the official page |
|---|---|
| Mega Evolution ex | メガジガルデex, メガスターミーex, メガエルレイドex |
| ex | ニャースex, ジュナイパーex |
| Supporters | タラゴン, ピュール |
| Stadium | ミアレシティ |
| Items | ポケパッド (reprinted), コアメモリ |
| Energy | ロック闘エネルギー, グロウ草エネルギー |
A second official page, the feature on 拡張パック「ムニキスゼロ」, presents two deck recipes. It mentions cards including ルナトーン, ガメノデス, カメテテ, メガジガルデex, コアメモリ and ロック闘エネルギー, plus the attacks ムニキスゼロ and ガイアウェーブ. It states no release date or rarities.
The Special Card Set メガエルレイドex is listed as its own product on the official page. It costs ¥1,980 (tax included), was released January 23, 2026, and contains one holo promo メガエルレイドex, two holo promo パワープロテイン, one promo ラルトス, one promo キルリア, eight ムニキスゼロ packs and one Pokémon Coin.

Should I buy the Nihil Zero carton or a PSA 10 single?
Choose the carton if you want a full case of 12 booster boxes shipped as one item, and choose a PSA 10 single if you want one specific card. Our carton listing is explicit that it ships as the carton itself, not as 12 individual boxes.
The carton listing describes the product like this: purchase unit is 1 carton (case); contents are 12 booster boxes of M3-Munikis Zero (Nihil Zero), Japanese language edition; it ships from Tokyo by FedEx with a tracking number. The listing also names a single-box product, “M3-Munikis Zero (Nihil Zero) Japanese Pokemon Booster Box”, as the single box the carton is made of.
| Format | What you receive | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Carton (case) | 12 booster boxes shipped as the carton itself | A buyer who wants a full case in one shipment |
| PSA 10 single | One graded card | A buyer who wants a specific card instead of random packs |
You can view the M3-Munikis Zero (Nihil Zero) carton listing for its current status. Stock levels on sealed Japanese products move, and our shipping policy says that dispatch can take longer when supplier allocation changes or inventory arrives later than expected. We therefore do not quote quantities here.

How does the Japanese Nihil Zero set differ from English Perfect Order?
They are separately named products in different languages with different release dates. The Japanese M3 set came out on January 23, 2026; the English Mega Evolution-Perfect Order set reached retail on March 27, 2026. Our sources do not state how the two sets relate, so this section compares only what each page says.
| Point | Japanese M3 (Nihil Zero) | English Perfect Order |
|---|---|---|
| Release | January 23, 2026 (source) | March 27, 2026 (source) |
| Standard pack | ¥180, 5 cards (source) | Booster packs; price and pack size not covered in our sources |
| Product formats | Packs and Special Card Set メガエルレイドex | Booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes and various collections (source) |
| Card count | Not stated on the official page we use | Over 120 cards (source) |
| Language of cards | Japanese | English |
The English Elite Trainer Box contents are documented on the Pokémon product gallery: 9 booster packs, a full-art foil promo Tyrunt, 65 sleeves, 40 Energy cards, a player’s guide, 6 damage-counter dice, a coin-flip die, a plastic coin, a collector’s box with 6 dividers and a Pokémon TCG Live code card. That is a description of the English product only; we do not apply it to the Japanese set.
Our article Munikis Zero vs Ninja Spinner compares the M3 box with the M4 box.
Which graded Nihil Zero cards can I buy instead of opening a box?
We list PSA 10 singles from the set, including Meowth ex SAR, MEGA Clefable ex SR, MEGA Starmie ex SR, Rowlet AR and Espurr AR. A graded single gives you a known card; a pack gives you random cards.
The product pages describe each card as graded PSA 10 (Gem Mint) and note that the PSA case may have minor scratches or marks on its surface. They also say stock levels can change and an order may take a little longer to ship. The shipping policy adds that PSA graded cards may also be sold through our other sales channels, so an item shown online can already be sold before the allocation is locked for your order. Once payment has cleared, we secure the matching PSA graded card, even if more sourcing is needed, and dispatch may take longer in that case.
| Card | Number | Rarity | Product page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meowth ex | M3 114/080 | SAR | PSA10 Meowth ex SAR |
| MEGA Clefable ex | M3 096/080 | SR | PSA10 MEGA Clefable ex SR |
| MEGA Starmie ex | M3 095/080 | SR | PSA10 MEGA Starmie ex SR |
| Rowlet | M3 082/080 | AR | PSA10 Rowlet AR |
| Espurr | M3 087/080 | AR | PSA10 Espurr AR |

Which cards deserve the most attention is a separate question, and our Nihil Zero chase cards guide walks through how to choose between the AR and SR cards. We do not forecast the value of any card here.
How does shipping a Nihil Zero order work?
Our shipping policy lists two FedEx services, standard and expedited, and both come with a tracking number. Most orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days after PayPal or Wise payment has cleared, according to our shipping policy. The carton listing states that it ships from Tokyo by FedEx with a tracking number.
| Service | Estimated FedEx transit after dispatch | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Standard: FedEx International Connect Plus (with tracking number) | Usually 3-7 business days | Calculated at checkout from your delivery address |
| Expedited: FedEx International Priority (with tracking number) | Usually 2-5 business days | Calculated at checkout from your delivery address |
Both transit times are estimates only. The policy says the dates shown on the website, at checkout or in carrier tools do not include our handling time, pre-order release timing, supplier allocation delays, quality inspection holds, weekends, Japanese national holidays, customs processing, carrier congestion, weather or destination-country conditions. Business days exclude weekends and Japanese national holidays.
These shipping rules apply to any order:
- There is no minimum order amount or quantity.
- The FIRSTSHIP campaign ended on July 31, 2026, and the coupon can no longer be applied at checkout.
- FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes, so give a physical address at checkout.
- If dispatch is delayed, we contact you by email as soon as practical with a revised estimate. For significant delays before handoff to FedEx, we may offer the option to wait or to cancel the order with a full refund.
- After handoff to FedEx, delivery timing is controlled by the carrier and destination-country authorities. Customs inspections, import procedures, remote-area handling and peak-season congestion may delay delivery, and such transit delays do not by themselves create a right to cancel or refund after dispatch.
- While an order is paid and its shipment is not yet scheduled, you can update the shipping address yourself from My Account > Orders. The destination country cannot be changed, and the carrier, shipping method and FedEx service level remain those selected at checkout.
If the new address costs more to ship to, the policy says we ask you to pay the difference before dispatch and the order is held until it is settled. If it costs less, the shipping charge is not recalculated and no refund is made. After the shipment is scheduled, the self-service change closes, and only a minor correction that changes none of the shipping conditions may be considered via the Contact Form.
You can check your order status through your customer account. Once the order is dispatched, you can find the tracking number and the carrier’s latest delivery estimate in your account or the shipping confirmation email.
How do I pay for a Nihil Zero order?
You can pay by Wise bank transfer, PayPal, or a credit or debit card through PayPal, and all payments are made in Japanese yen. Our payment methods page (last updated November 5, 2026) sets out the details.
| Method | Fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Wise (bank transfer) | No payment processing fee | The only method without the 5% fee; use the reference SST-{order number} exactly as issued |
| PayPal | Payment processing fee (5%) | Completed immediately at checkout |
| Credit and debit cards through PayPal | Payment processing fee (5%) | Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB; which are offered is decided by PayPal |
Wise has deadlines. Without a screenshot, an order is cancelled automatically if payment has not arrived within 12 hours of placing it (3 hours if the order contains a pre-order item). With a screenshot uploaded within 5 days, the order price is held for a total of 10 days from placing the order. The screenshot option needs an account and is not available at guest checkout. A missing or altered payment reference may delay or prevent us from matching your payment.
A SWIFT payment incurs a receiving fee of JPY 611, which is deducted before the funds reach us, so add it to your total. Correspondent banks may also deduct their own fees; the page asks you to choose the OUR charge option so those fees are covered on your side. If the amount we receive is short, order processing is paused until the shortfall is paid and confirmed.
For card payments, the card form opens in PayPal’s own secure window and we never see or store your card number. A PayPal account is usually not required, though PayPal may occasionally ask you to sign in or create one. Your card issuer may apply 3-D Secure authentication, which is handled between PayPal and your issuer.
| Country | PayPal Pay Later option we see at checkout |
|---|---|
| United States | PayPal Pay in 4: 4 payments, one every 2 weeks, first payment at checkout |
| United Kingdom | PayPal Pay in 3: 3 monthly payments, first payment at checkout |
| France | PayPal Paiement en 4X: 4 monthly payments, first payment at checkout |
| Italy | PayPal Paga in 3 rate: 3 monthly payments, first payment at checkout |
| Spain | PayPal Paga en 3 plazos: 3 monthly payments, first payment at checkout |
| Australia | PayPal Pay in 4: 4 fortnightly payments, first payment at checkout |
| Canada | PayPal Pay in 4: 4 payments, one every 2 weeks, first payment at checkout |
PayPal Pay Later is offered and operated by PayPal, not by us, and each option listed is interest-free. PayPal decides which option is shown, and whether any option is shown at all. The terms PayPal displays in its own window are the ones that apply. Because payments are in yen, any gap between what we charge and what your statement shows comes from exchange rates and fees at your card issuer, bank or PayPal.
What should I check before ordering?
Check the edition, the format, the shipping service, the payment method and its fee. Each item below comes from the product listing or from our policy pages.
- Edition.
- Format. A carton is 12 booster boxes shipped as the carton itself, not as 12 individual boxes.
- Expectations. The official page lists 5 cards per pack and random insertion. It does not list a box configuration or rarity names, so do not rely on figures that do not come from an official page.
- Address. Use a physical street address; FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.
- Timing. Count handling time (most orders within 5 business days after payment clears) plus the FedEx estimate. Both are estimates only.
- Payment. Wise has no processing fee; PayPal and cards carry a 5% fee.
- Customs. Import procedures in your country can delay delivery, and the policy treats those delays as outside our control.

Is a graded single or a sealed carton the better fit for my collection?
A sealed carton suits someone who wants sealed product in bulk, while a graded single suits someone who wants one specific card in a fixed condition. Neither is better in general; they answer different goals.
With packs, the cards inside are random, as the official page says. With a PSA 10 single you know the card, its number and its rarity before you pay, and the product page tells you it is graded PSA 10 (Gem Mint). The case note is worth reading: the PSA case may have minor scratches or marks on its surface.
We do not predict how either will behave in value. If your goal is a specific Mega Evolution ex, the PSA 10 MEGA Starmie ex SR page and the PSA 10 MEGA Clefable ex SR page show what is currently listed, and the chase cards guide helps you narrow down which card you want before choosing.
