Two of these sets share the same “/080” numbering, so a card labeled 112/080 or 114/080 can be two completely different Pokemon depending on which set actually printed it. What “MA” Means
Four of the cards above — Froslass, Gardevoir, Lucario and Dragonite — carry a rarity marked MA. That stands for Mega Attack Rare (メガアタックレア), a rarity that debuted with M2a MEGA Dream ex. MA cards use American-comic-style illustration with large English attack names printed across the art, and the official set page describes them as depicting strong Mega-evolved Pokemon in a distinct illustration style.
Community sources report roughly one MA per box, though that’s an unofficial pull-rate estimate rather than a published figure — treat it as a rough guide, not a guarantee. What matters for budget shopping is that, in our own listings, the MA copies price below the same set’s SAR cards, which is exactly why the cheapest cards on the table above are mostly MA copies.
MA does not stand for mirror art — it’s a standalone rarity tier with its own comic-style illustrations, distinct from the SAR and SR treatments of the same Pokemon.
The /080 Trap: Telling M2 and M3 Apart
Three of the budget cards above — Clefable, Zygarde and Lopunny — are numbered against an “/080” denominator. The problem is that two different sets share that denominator: M2 Inferno X (released 2025-09-26) and M3 Munikis / Nihil Zero (released 2026-01-23). The same card number can point to a completely different Pokemon depending on which set printed it.

In other words, don’t trust the card number alone when comparison-shopping — check that the set code printed on the card actually matches M2 or M3 before assuming two /080 listings are the same card. Our product titles specify the set for exactly this reason.
