Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates (PAF) released in English on 26 January 2024 with 245 cards. Nearly two months earlier, in Japan, the source material was already on shelves as SV4a Shiny Treasure ex — a 360-card High Class Pack that, at the time, was the largest Japanese Pokémon TCG set ever printed.
Paldean Fates is the English special set built from Shiny Treasure ex, plus a handful of cards cut from Paradox Rift and some Japanese promos; the whole release is built around Shiny Pokémon. This list is ordered two ways, in sequence. First, any card with a live PSA 10 listing on our site goes to the top, ranked by that listing’s price — that puts Penny SAR and Charmander S at #1–#2. Everything after that is ordered by Japanese rarity tier as Limitless prints it on the card: Ultra Rare (UR), then Shiny Ultra Rare (SSR), then Special Art Rare (SAR).
We do not quote third-party market prices (TCGplayer, eBay or PriceCharting) anywhere in this article, and we don’t state pull rates as fact — our Shiny Treasure ex pull rates guide covers that separately. Where we don’t currently list a graded copy, we say so plainly and point you to Quick Order instead of guessing at a market number.
