Two more Greninja cards worth knowing don’t have a verifiable current market ask, so we’ve kept them out of the table above: the English/Japanese Ash-Greninja EX promo lineup from 2016, and Greninja ex SAR from SV5a “Crimson Haze” (2024). The fastest way to sort a stack of Greninja cards is by set logo and card number rather than by artwork alone, since several of these prints share a name and a general “ninja frog” theme without being related printings. A gold-etched border points to the M4 MUR; a full-bleed illustration without gold points to the SAR; a Tag Team card with two Pokemon on it is the GX; and anything stamped XY-P or XY133 is one of the three Ash-Greninja promos rather than a mainline set card.
MEGA Greninja ex MUR (120/083): The Chase Card
MEGA Greninja ex is card 120/083 in M4 “Ninja Spinner” (ニンジャスピナー), the Japan-only MEGA-series expansion pack released March 13, 2026. The card carries an ability, “Decisive Shuriken,” that places 6 damage counters on an opposing Pokemon once per turn by discarding a Basic Water Energy, and an attack, “Ninja Spinner,” that deals 120 damage with the option to return an attached Water Energy for 80 more. On the market, raw copies were asking ¥48,800–¥110,000 as of August 6, 2026, and PSA10 graded copies spanned a wide ¥186,900–¥1,000,000, per SNKRDUNK listings measured the same day — that top figure is a single listing, not a cluster, so treat it as an outlier rather than the going rate. MEGA Greninja ex SAR (114/083): The Alternate Art
The same set also carries a Special Art Rare version of MEGA Greninja ex at card number 114/083. It’s a different illustration from the MUR, and it prices well below it: raw copies were asking ¥25,000–¥32,000, and PSA10 graded copies ran ¥46,500–¥68,000 on SNKRDUNK as of the same August 6, 2026 measurement.

If your copy is a gold-etched foil, it’s the MUR covered above. If it’s a full alternate-art illustration without the gold treatment, it’s this SAR — roughly a quarter of the MUR’s PSA10 price band. There’s also a plain, non-alt-art SR of this same card at M4 098/083, which currently has no tracked market price in our data.
Greninja & Zoroark GX: The Budget Tag Team
Greninja & Zoroark GX (ゲッコウガ&ゾロアークGX) is a Darkness-type Tag Team card, 250 HP, that first appeared as an RR at card number 025/055 in SM9a “Night Unison” (ナイトユニゾン), a Sun & Moon-era expansion pack released January 11, 2019. That same set also produced an SR (058/055) and an SA/SR alternate-art version (059/055) of the identical card.
The RR was reprinted later the same year at card number 072/173 in SM12a “TAG TEAM GX All Stars” (タッグオールスターズ), released October 4, 2019. That set also includes a UR version at 223/173.
Both RR printings are the entry point into owning a Greninja Tag Team card. We carry graded PSA10 copies of both:

Ash-Greninja EX: The Anime Promo
Ash-Greninja EX (サトシゲッコウガEX) is the card tied to Ash’s Greninja from the Pokemon XY&Z anime, and it exists across three separate promo releases rather than one:
- English — XY Black Star Promos XY133. Released April 13, 2016 as part of the Ash-Greninja-EX Box, issued in both regular and jumbo card sizes.
- Japan — promo 218/XY-P. Distributed at the 43rd “Next Generation World Hobby Fair” winter 2016 tour (Makuhari Messe January 23–24, Nagoya Dome January 31, and Kyocera Dome Osaka February 7, 2016) to visitors of the Pokemon booth, and separately through a TV Tokyo New Year phone lottery (entry window December 24–30, 2015, winners notified by January 18, 2016, roughly 100 recipients).
- Japan — promo 290/XY-P. A different Japanese promo, included as an insert with Limited Edition B copies of the “Pocket Monsters XY&Z TV Anime Character Song Project Collection Vol.2 -Compilation-” CD, released October 26, 2016.
These three cards look similar at a glance but are distinct prints with different card numbers and distribution paths — two through Japanese promotional events tied to a physical tour or a phone-in lottery, one bundled with a music CD, and the English version sold direct in a themed box. We don’t currently have a verified market ask for any of the three, so we’re not attaching a price here — if you’re trying to identify which one you own, the card number in the corner (XY133, 218/XY-P, or 290/XY-P) is the fastest way to tell them apart.

Greninja ex SAR (SV5a Crimson Haze): The Modern Mainline Print
The most recent mainline Greninja ex before the M4 Mega version is Greninja ex SAR, card 090/066 in SV5a “Crimson Haze” (クリムゾンヘイズ), a Scarlet & Violet-era Japan-only expansion pack released March 22, 2024. It’s listed as a Fighting-type card on retailer listings. We don’t currently have a tracked market price for this print, so we’re covering it here for identification purposes only — if you’re comparing it to the 2026 Mega versions, the giveaway is the set logo and card number in the bottom corner (SV5a 090/066), not the Water-type Ninja Spinner numbering.
