The Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection holds 18 Pokémon TCG booster packs, two foil promo cards and a set of table accessories, according to the official pokemon.com product page, which gives its launch as November 14, 2025.
What links the collection to Japan is the two promo cards: by illustrator credit, the Mega Charizard X ex promo (MEP 23) matches a Japanese MA print from MEGA Dream ex (M2a), and the Oricorio ex promo (MEP 24) matches a SAR print from Inferno X (M2). The Japanese box that carries the main set is the M2 Inferno X booster box.
We sell Japanese sealed product and graded singles from Tokyo. Yen figures for our own products are listings as of October 2, 2026; the dollar amounts in brackets use ¥154 per dollar and are rounded.
The official page lists 18 booster packs, a foil Mega Charizard X ex promo, a foil Oricorio ex promo, 65 card sleeves, a playmat, a deck box, a metal coin, six damage-counter dice and a Pokémon TCG Live code card, with a launch of November 14, 2025. By illustrator credit, MEP 23 pairs with M2a 223/193 MA and MEP 24 pairs with M2 111/080 SAR. The Japanese M2 box is offered as a Damaged Box at ¥14,809 (~$96) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order).
Contents and launch date are taken from the official pokemon.com page, while print numbers and illustrator credits are taken from the Japanese card database, Limitless TCG and Bulbapedia.
What the Ultra-Premium Collection Includes
The official page is titled Pokémon TCG: Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection and prints “Launch: November 14, 2025”. Its description opens with “The immense power of Mega Evolution has brought forth the flickering blue flames of Mega Charizard X ex!” and says the card burns up Fire Energy to fuel its Inferno X attack, doing more damage for each card discarded. The page then lists the contents under “The Pokémon TCG: Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection includes:”.
| Item | Quantity as listed by pokemon.com |
|---|---|
| Foil promo card featuring Mega Charizard X ex | 1 |
| Foil promo card featuring Oricorio ex | 1 |
| Card sleeves featuring Mega Charizard X | 65 |
| Playmat featuring Mega Charizard X | 1 |
| Deck box featuring Mega Charizard X | 1 |
| Metal coin featuring Mega Charizard X | 1 |
| Damage-counter dice | 6 |
| Pokémon TCG booster packs | 18 |
| Code card for Pokémon TCG Live | 1 |
The page adds that the collection is sold at the Pokémon Center and where Pokémon TCG products are sold. The page calls both promos foil promo cards.
Bulbapedia’s merchandise page for the Mega Evolution series (October 2, 2026) calls it the first Ultra-Premium Collection of the series and lists the promos as MEP Promo 023 (Mega Charizard X ex) and MEP Promo 024 (Oricorio ex). Bulbapedia also describes a stitched-edge playmat and a metallic coin, and reports that the 18 packs come from both the Mega Evolution Series and the Scarlet & Violet Series, typically four each of Phantasmal Flames, Mega Evolution, Destined Rivals and Journey Together and two of Surging Sparks. The official page uses the plain words “playmat” and “metal coin”.
The Collection Next to the Japanese Inferno X Box
A collection and a booster box are different kinds of product. The collection is a fixed set of English packs, promos and accessories; the Japanese Inferno X box is a sealed box of Japanese expansion packs.
| Spec | Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection (English) | Inferno X (M2) Japanese box |
|---|---|---|
| Release | Launch: November 14, 2025 (pokemon.com) | September 26, 2025 (pokemon-card.com/ex/m2) |
| Booster packs | 18 Pokémon TCG booster packs | Packs of 5 cards each, cards inserted at random |
| Price printed | None on the product page | ¥180 per pack, tax included |
| Packs per box | Not applicable | Not given on the official page |
| Promo cards | Mega Charizard X ex and Oricorio ex, both foil | None listed |
| Accessories | 65 sleeves, playmat, deck box, metal coin, six damage-counter dice | None listed |
| Code card | Pokémon TCG Live code card | None listed |
| Printed main-set number | /094 on the English set (Bulbapedia) | /080 (official card database) |
What the Japanese Inferno X (M2) Box Is
The official Japanese page describes Inferno X as a MEGA expansion pack: five cards per pack at ¥180 with tax, released on Friday, September 26, 2025, with cards inserted at random. The official card database prints the main-set numbers over 080, so a card such as Mega Charizard X ex RR reads 013/080. The set’s full numbering is on the Inferno X (M2) card list, and the longer set write-ups are the Inferno X complete guide and the Inferno X booster box buying guide.
Bulbapedia’s page for the English Phantasmal Flames set (October 2, 2026) states that Phantasmal Flames includes cards released in the Japanese Inferno X expansion, as well as the MEGA Starter Set Mega Gengar ex and the MEGA Starter Set Mega Diancie ex. That is a statement about the set as a whole; card-by-card matches rest on what the official database and Limitless TCG list.
A second Japanese product matters for this collection. MEGA Dream ex (M2a) is a High Class Pack: the official page prints ¥550 per pack, 10 cards per pack and a release of Friday, November 28, 2025, and the official database numbers its cards over 193. As of September 30, 2026, the database shows AR 20, SR 9, MA 10, SAR 17 and MUR 1 beyond 193. One of the ten MA cards is the Mega Charizard X ex that pairs with the collection’s first promo. The two Japanese boxes are compared in the M2 vs M2a box guide.
English and Japanese Set Sizes Side by Side
The English Phantasmal Flames set and the Japanese Inferno X set are counted differently by each source.
| Source | English Phantasmal Flames (PFL) | Japanese Inferno X (M2) |
|---|---|---|
| Official page | Over 120 cards; release date November 14, 2025 (pokemon.com) | Release September 26, 2025 (pokemon-card.com) |
| Limitless TCG | 130 cards, 14th November 2025 | Mega Charizard X ex listed as M2 #13, #94, #110 and #116 |
| Bulbapedia | 130 cards; release November 14, 2025 | Not compared by count |
| Printed main-set number | /094 (Bulbapedia, consistent with the pokemon.com card database) | /080 (official card database) |
The English set officially runs to over 120 cards and Limitless counts 130, while the Japanese main set is numbered to 080. Because Bulbapedia adds that the English set also includes cards from the MEGA Starter Set Mega Gengar ex and the MEGA Starter Set Mega Diancie ex, the English list is not a one-to-one copy of the Japanese one. Pairings are therefore taken card by card, from print numbers and illustrator credits.
Mega Charizard X ex: English Prints Against Japanese Prints
As of October 2, 2026, the official Japanese card database returns five cards named メガリザードンXex (rendering: Mega Charizard X ex): four in Inferno X and one in MEGA Dream ex. Limitless TCG (October 2, 2026) lists four English prints in Phantasmal Flames, PFL 13, 109, 125 and 130, and two promos, MEP 23 and MEP 29. Limitless uses its own rarity names, such as Double Rare and Secret Rare, while the official Japanese icons read RR, SR, SAR, MUR and MA.
| English print (Limitless) | Illustrator | Japanese print (official database) | Illustrator | Credit match |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PFL 13, Double Rare | takuyoa | M2 013/080, RR | takuyoa | Same illustrator credit |
| PFL 109, Ultra Rare | takuyoa | M2 094/080, SR | takuyoa | Same illustrator credit |
| PFL 125, Special Art Rare | danciao | M2 110/080, SAR | danciao | Same illustrator credit |
| PFL 130, Secret Rare | takuyoa | M2 116/080, MUR | takuyoa | Same illustrator credit |
| MEP 23 (collection promo, per Bulbapedia) | Saboteri | M2a 223/193, MA | Saboteri | Same illustrator credit |
| MEP 29 (Mega Charizard Tins promo, per Bulbapedia) | takuyoa | No Japanese print listed | Not applicable | Bulbapedia lists no Japanese expansion |
Bulbapedia’s card page (October 2, 2026) describes the set cards as a Regular card, a Full Art ultra rare, a special illustration rare and a gold-etched Mega hyper rare, first released in the Japanese Inferno X expansion, with the special illustration rare credited to danciao and the other set prints to takuyoa. A shared illustrator credit is a credit match only; image identity between an English print and its Japanese partner is not confirmed.
Mega Charizard X ex RR 013/080

The RR is the regular print in the 80-card main range. The database shows a Stage 2 Pokemon with 360 HP, Fire type, Weakness Water ×2, no Resistance and a retreat cost of 2, credited to takuyoa. Limitless lists the English PFL 13 with the same credit.
Mega Charizard X ex SR 094/080

The SR is numbered beyond the printed set size and carries the same takuyoa credit that Limitless gives for PFL 109. The card text matches the RR.
Mega Charizard X ex SAR 110/080 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order)

The SAR is the one Inferno X print credited to danciao, which is the credit Limitless gives for the English Special Art Rare PFL 125 and Bulbapedia gives for the special illustration rare print.
Mega Charizard X ex MUR 116/080

The MUR is numbered 116/080, beyond the printed set size, and is credited to takuyoa. Limitless lists PFL 130 as its English partner, with the same credit.
What the Japanese card text says
The five Japanese pages carry one text. The attack インフェルノX (rendering: Inferno X) costs two Fire Energy and does 90× damage: the card discards any number of Fire Energy attached to the player’s Pokemon in play and does 90 damage for each one discarded. Its special rule gives the opponent 3 Prize cards when a Mega Evolution ex is Knocked Out. The official collection page’s line about doing more damage for each card discarded describes this attack.
MEP 23 and the MEGA Dream ex Print
The collection’s Mega Charizard X ex promo is not an Inferno X card by illustrator credit. Limitless TCG lists MEP 23 under Saboteri and lists its Japanese prints as Inferno X #13, #94, #110 and #116 plus MEGA Dream ex #223. Among the five Japanese Mega Charizard X ex prints, the official database credits only the MA card M2a 223/193 to Saboteri.
Bulbapedia (October 2, 2026) writes that, in English, the card “is reprinted as an MEP Promotional card with artwork by Saboteri, and is included in the Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection product”, and that in Japan the print is released as a Mega attack rare card in the MEGA Dream ex subset. It adds that the English print shows the Japanese text for the attack and the Japanese print shows the English text, so the two are not described as identical images.
| Detail | MEP 23 (English promo) | M2a 223/193 MA (Japanese print) |
|---|---|---|
| Illustrator credit | Saboteri (Limitless) | Saboteri (official database) |
| Where it comes from | Ultra-Premium Collection (Bulbapedia) | MEGA Dream ex High Class Pack, released November 28, 2025 |
| Card | Mega Charizard X ex, Fire, 360 HP (Limitless) | Mega Charizard X ex, Fire, 360 HP, Stage 2 |
| Rarity as printed | Promo | MA |

For the Japanese side of that pairing, the MEGA Dream ex Damaged Box is a separate product currently listed at ¥11,977 (~$78) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), and the full numbering is on the MEGA Dream ex (M2a) card list.
Oricorio ex: MEP 24 and the Inferno X SAR
As of October 2, 2026, the official database returns three cards named オドリドリex (rendering: Oricorio ex), all in Inferno X. Limitless lists two English set prints, PFL 18 and PFL 110, and the promo MEP 24, credited to Shinji Kanda.
| English print (Limitless) | Illustrator | Japanese print (official database) | Illustrator | Credit match |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PFL 18, Double Rare | akagi | M2 018/080, RR | akagi | Same illustrator credit |
| PFL 110, Ultra Rare | 5ban Graphics | M2 095/080, SR | 5ban Graphics | Same illustrator credit |
| MEP 24 (promo in the collection) | Shinji Kanda | M2 111/080, SAR | Shinji Kanda | Same illustrator credit |
Bulbapedia’s Oricorio ex page (October 2, 2026) says the special illustration rare print was “available as an MEP Black Star Promotional card in the Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection”, while the Regular and Full Art ultra rare prints are in the English Phantasmal Flames set. On that account the Inferno X SAR has no print in the English set; its English counterpart is the collection’s promo.
Oricorio ex SAR 111/080

The SAR is a Basic Pokemon with 190 HP, Fire type, Weakness Water ×2 and a retreat cost of 1. Its ability エキサイトターボ (rendering: Excite Turbo) can be used any number of times during the player’s turn when a Fire-type Mega Evolution ex is in play: it attaches a Basic Fire Energy from the hand to a Benched Fire Pokemon. The attack ほのおのつばさ (rendering: Fiery Wings) costs two Fire Energy and one Colorless and does 110 damage. The official collection page describes the card as one that helps “get more Fire Energy into play”.
Oricorio ex SR 095/080

The SR is credited to 5ban Graphics, the credit Limitless gives for PFL 110, and carries the same text as the SAR.
Oricorio ex RR 018/080

The RR is the regular print, credited to akagi, matching Limitless’s PFL 18.
The Second Mega Charizard X ex Promo: MEP 29
A second English Mega Charizard X ex promo exists. Limitless lists MEP 29 under takuyoa with the same title line as MEP 23, and its MEP list also shows MEP 30 Mega Charizard Y ex. Bulbapedia (October 2, 2026) reports that the Mega Charizard Tins were released on February 20, 2026, that each tin held one promo featuring Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y plus four booster packs, and that the promos are MEP Promo 029 and MEP Promo 030. The tin’s date and contents are Bulbapedia’s.
| Promo | Product (per Bulbapedia) | Illustrator (Limitless) | Japanese print by credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| MEP 23 Mega Charizard X ex | Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection | Saboteri | M2a 223/193 MA |
| MEP 24 Oricorio ex | Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection | Shinji Kanda | M2 111/080 SAR |
| MEP 29 Mega Charizard X ex | Mega Charizard Tins, February 20, 2026 | takuyoa | None listed by Bulbapedia |
MEP 29 shares the takuyoa credit with the Inferno X RR, SR and MUR, but Bulbapedia’s card infobox lists no Japanese expansion for it, so the shared credit is all that connects them. Per Bulbapedia, the collection carries the Saboteri promo and the tins carry the takuyoa one.

Japanese Inferno X Box Prices: Dated Asks and Our Listings
Two kinds of number exist for the Japanese M2 box: SNKRDUNK asking prices and our own listing prices. An ask is what a seller requests, not what a sale cleared at.

Dated SNKRDUNK Asks for the Japanese Mega Charizard X ex and Oricorio ex Prints
Asks are the lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 2, 2026, by condition grade, from each product page’s grid. A ¥1,000 entry is SNKRDUNK’s display floor, not a quoted ask, and none of the figures is a sale price.
| Japanese print | Lowest ask, any condition | A condition | B condition | C condition | PSA 10 ask |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mega Charizard X ex RR 013/080 | ¥1,000 (~$6) display floor | ¥1,000 (~$6) display floor | ¥1,000 (~$6) display floor | No listing | ¥5,199 (~$34) |

| Oricorio ex SR 095/080 | ¥1,000 (~$6) display floor | ¥1,000 (~$6) display floor | ¥1,000 (~$6) display floor | No listing | ¥3,999 (~$26), single listing |
| Oricorio ex SAR 111/080 | ¥3,200 (~$21) | ¥3,200 (~$21) | ¥3,500 (~$23) | No listing | ¥8,499 (~$55) |
SNKRDUNK’s PSA 9 asks for the two upper Mega Charizard X ex prints are ¥67,000 (~$435) for the SAR and ¥78,800 (~$512) for the MUR.
The SAR and MUR carry the highest dated asks among the Inferno X prints checked, and the MA 223/193 sits much lower than either. Matching illustrator credits, such as Saboteri on MEP 23 and M2a 223/193, do not indicate that two prints are priced alike.
PSA 10 Listings for the Japanese Mega Charizard X ex and Oricorio ex
The Japanese prints can be ordered as PSA 10 back orders. The Mega Charizard X ex RR is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥5,457 (~$35) — sourced to order; the product page shows the current terms. The PSA 10 back orders hub explains the ordering route.

There is no listing for the Oricorio ex RR 018/080 or for the MEP promos, and sourcing requests for those go through Quick Order.

Buying Checklist: Collection or Japanese Box
Seven checks separate the English collection from a Japanese M2 box.
- Product type. The collection is 18 English packs, two promos and accessories; a Japanese M2 box is a box of Japanese packs. Neither page lists the other’s contents.
- Print numbers over names. English Mega Charizard X ex prints are PFL 13, 109, 125 and 130, with the promos MEP 23 and MEP 29. The Japanese prints are M2 013, 094, 110 and 116 over 080, and M2a 223 over 193.
- Credit comparison. takuyoa is credited on three of the four set pairs and danciao on the SAR pair; the promo MEP 23 pairs with Saboteri’s MA print. A credit match is not an artwork match.
- Promo source. Per Bulbapedia, MEP 23 and MEP 24 belong to the collection and MEP 29 to the Mega Charizard Tins.
- Right product for the price. The Damaged Box, the No Shrink Damaged Box and the standard box with its Sealed and No Shrink options are priced independently.
- Dated asks. A SNKRDUNK figure is an asking price tied to a date, with ¥1,000 marking the display floor.
- Graded card titles. A listing title spells out the grade, set code and card number, as in PSA10 MEGA Charizard X ex SAR [M2 110/080].

Frequently Asked Questions
What is in the Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection?
The official pokemon.com page lists 18 Pokémon TCG booster packs, a foil Mega Charizard X ex promo, a foil Oricorio ex promo, 65 card sleeves, a playmat, a deck box, a metal coin, six damage-counter dice and a Pokémon TCG Live code card.
When did the Ultra-Premium Collection and the Japanese Inferno X box release?
The official pokemon.com page gives November 14, 2025 as the collection’s launch. The Japanese Inferno X (M2) expansion has a release date of September 26, 2025 on the official pokemon-card.com page, so the Japanese packs came first by about seven weeks.
How much does the Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection cost?
The official page prints no price for the collection. The Japanese side does print one: the Inferno X page gives ¥180 per 5-card pack, tax included. Our Japanese M2 Damaged Box is currently listed at ¥14,809 (~$96) (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), a separate product with its own terms.
Which Japanese cards match the Ultra-Premium Collection promos?
By illustrator credit, the Mega Charizard X ex promo MEP 23 (Saboteri) matches MEGA Dream ex MA 223/193, and the Oricorio ex promo MEP 24 (Shinji Kanda) matches Inferno X SAR 111/080. Bulbapedia supports both pairings; a credit match is not an artwork match.
Is the Ultra-Premium Collection the same as a Japanese Inferno X box?
The official pages do not describe them as the same product. The collection is 18 English packs with two promos and accessories, while an Inferno X box is a Japanese product with Japanese text. Bulbapedia states that Phantasmal Flames includes cards released in Inferno X, which describes the set, not the product.
What is the second Mega Charizard X ex promo, MEP 29?
Limitless lists MEP 29 under takuyoa, and Bulbapedia reports it came in the Mega Charizard Tins released February 20, 2026, with MEP 30 Mega Charizard Y ex. Bulbapedia lists no Japanese expansion for MEP 29, so it has no Japanese print by that source.
Which booster packs are inside the Ultra-Premium Collection?
The official page says only 18 Pokémon TCG booster packs and names no expansion. Bulbapedia reports a typical mix of four each from Phantasmal Flames, Mega Evolution, Destined Rivals and Journey Together, and two from Surging Sparks, which is a reported mix, not an official one.
Can a Japanese Inferno X box be bought from outside Japan?
We ship Japanese sealed product from Tokyo, and the Inferno X boxes are listed as separate products: Damaged Box, No Shrink Damaged Box and the standard box with Sealed and No Shrink options. Sourcing requests for a specific card or box go through Quick Order.
