Two cards, one Pokemon, two numbers. The Japanese Mew ex FUR 135/103 and the English Mew ex 158/128 are the same Futuristic Rare printing of Mew ex from 30th CELEBRATION — but they carry different set numbers, sit in different official databases, and are bought through completely different channels.
This guide lines up the two prints side by side: the numbering, how each language labels the rarity, what the card actually does, and the dated asking price for the Japanese copy on the Japanese secondary market. Figures below convert at ¥154/USD, approximate.
Mew ex FUR is 135/103 in the Japanese 30th CELEBRATION expansion and 158/128 in the English set — Bill’s Archive states the two numbers describe the same card (“against #157 and #158 in English”). Both the Japanese and English 30th Celebration expansions released the same day, September 16, 2026. We list the Japanese M6a 30th CELEBRATION Booster Box, where a Mew ex FUR pull comes from; we do not sell the English product.
Store prices and availability checked September 25, 2026 at 13:48 JST. Marketplace observations retain their stated dates. USD conversions use ¥154 per US dollar.
Mew ex FUR 135/103: The Card at a Glance
Mew ex FUR is one of two Futuristic Rare cards in 30th CELEBRATION — the other is Mewtwo ex FUR, 134/103 in Japanese. Both are credited to graphic artist YOSHIROTTEN on the official 30th site, which also credits him for the set’s eight Basic Energy cards. The block itself (104–135) is not in the official card database, and illustrators for the AR and SAR tiers within it are unpublished.

For every number in the set at once, see our 30th CELEBRATION English-to-Japanese card number map and the wider 30th CELEBRATION English vs Japanese card differences hub, which this comparison draws its pairing rule from.
| Japanese | English | |
|---|---|---|
| Card number | 135/103 | 158/128 |
| Rarity code / label | FUR | Futuristic Rare |
| Illustrator | YOSHIROTTEN | YOSHIROTTEN |
| Regular-print counterpart | 057/103 Mew ex (aky CG Works) | not stated by Bill’s Archive |
| Release date | September 16, 2026 | September 16, 2026 |
The pairing itself comes from Bill’s Archive, the English-language checklist site whose stated pairing this comparison quotes: “They are #134/103 and #135/103 in Japanese against #157 and #158 in English” — confirming Mewtwo ex FUR as 134/157 and Mew ex FUR as 135/158.
FUR Explained: “Futuristic Rare” in Japanese and English

The Japanese official product page names this rarity directly: “FUR(フューチャリスティックレア)のミュウ ex が登場” — “the FUR (Futuristic Rare) Mew ex appears” — and credits the design to YOSHIROTTEN by name. On the English side, tcg.pokemon.com’s own expansion hub uses the identical English term: “Futuristic rare cards designed by famous artist YOSHIROTTEN.” So for this specific rarity, both languages use the same name, “Futuristic Rare,” rather than diverging the way the lower tiers do.
Those lower tiers do diverge. PokeBeach’s report from an official box opening, shown before the set’s release, described one 20-pack box’s secret-rare pulls as “4 Illustration Rares, 1 Special Illustration Rare, 1 Futuristic Rare (Mew or Mewtwo ex)” — PokeBeach’s “Illustration Rare” and “Special Illustration Rare” labels correspond to the Japanese AR and SAR codes. Bill’s Archive, the numbering source behind the JP–EN pairings on this page, does not carry that IR/SIR split into its own card-level labels at all; instead it groups every English card above #128 (other than the two Futuristic Rares) into one “SR Secret Rare” tier. Mew ex FUR at English #158 sits outside that “SR” tier as one of the two named Futuristic Rares.
Same Card, New Art: Stats, Ability and Illustrator
| Field | Mew ex (057/103 and 135/103) |
|---|---|
| Type / HP | Psychic, HP160 |
| Stage | Basic Pokemon |
| Ability | Memory Helix — can use the attacks of any Benched Pokemon (Energy requirements still apply) |
| Attack | [P] Teleportation Burst: 30 damage; may switch this Pokemon with a Benched Pokemon |
| Weakness / Resistance | Darkness (x2) / Fighting (−30) |
| Retreat | 0 |
The Futuristic Rare 135/103 carries the same Psychic HP160 stat line, Memory Helix ability and Teleportation Burst attack as the regular-print 057/103 — the FUR treatment changes the artwork and card number, not the game text. The regular print at 057/103 is credited to aky CG Works; the AR and SAR tiers elsewhere in the set have illustrators the official database has not published, but the two FUR cards are the exception, both credited to YOSHIROTTEN.

Mew ex FUR is shown on the official 30th CELEBRATION product page as one of twelve numbers from the 104–135 block that now carry a visible image there, but the block as a whole — including 135/103 — is still not a separate entry in the official card database, which continues to enumerate only the 001–103 main set, the Classic Collection and the Basic Energy.
Released the Same Day, Worldwide

30th CELEBRATION (M6a) released worldwide on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 — Japan and English markets on the same day, the first simultaneous worldwide release for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Both the Japanese Mew ex FUR (135/103) and the English Mew ex (158/128) therefore entered circulation on the same date. The Japanese pack costs ¥360 and contains 6 foil cards, with one YOSHIROTTEN Basic Energy guaranteed in every pack; the English pack, per pokemon.com’s official showcase, holds five foil cards including one of 30 Pikachu plus one foil Basic Energy.
Both prints reach collectors through packs rather than being sold as singles by the manufacturer. PokeBeach’s report from a box opening shown before release found one 20-pack box containing 4 Illustration Rares, 1 Special Illustration Rare and 1 Futuristic Rare — that is one reported opening, not a published pull rate, and it should not be read as a guarantee for every box.
SNKRDUNK Asking Prices: September 16 to September 18
The Japanese Mew ex FUR has a dated asking-price history on SNKRDUNK, Japan’s card marketplace: the lowest live ask was ¥22,222 on September 16, 2026 (release day) and ¥14,000 on September 18, 2026. These are seller asking prices, not sale prices, and the movement between the two dates carries no stated cause. Graded copies (grades A/B/C, per the marketplace’s own condition labels) were listed at ¥52,000–¥95,000 on September 18 — again asking prices, not sales, and not a PSA grade.
We do not have a dated marketplace figure for the English Mew ex (158/128) in this update, and English 30th Celebration singles are not something we track for pricing — this comparison covers identification and buying routes, not English resale values.
Which Print to Buy
The two printings are not interchangeable purchases in practice, even though Bill’s Archive treats them as the same card under two numbers:
- Japanese Mew ex FUR (135/103): pulled from Japanese 30th CELEBRATION packs, sold in Japan and by importers. We list the sealed M6a 30th CELEBRATION Booster Box that these packs come from, and take single-card sourcing requests through Quick Order.
- English Mew ex (158/128): pulled from English 30th Celebration packs, sold by retailers in your region — we do not sell it.
If your goal is the Japanese card specifically, sealed Japanese product from Tokyo is the direct route; if you already collect the English set, the English 158/128 stays a separate purchase through English retail channels, not through us. Our Mew ex FUR 135/103 card guide covers the Japanese print’s full card text and identification details.
Where to Buy the Japanese Mew ex FUR
We ship Japanese 30th CELEBRATION product out of Tokyo with tracked delivery — Sealed ¥28,500 (~$185) · No Shrink ¥23,500 (~$153).
For the single card itself rather than a sealed box, use Quick Order to submit a sourcing request. See the full 30th CELEBRATION card list for every number in the set, or browse our wider Japanese Pokemon card collection and PSA10 collection for graded Japanese singles currently listed.

Who illustrated Mew ex FUR?
YOSHIROTTEN, credited on both the Japanese official 30th site and the English tcg.pokemon.com hub. The 104–135 secret-rare block, including this card, is not in the official card database; the AR and SAR tiers within it remain uncredited anywhere official.
Did the Japanese and English versions release on the same date?
Yes. 30th CELEBRATION released worldwide on September 16, 2026, with Japan and English markets on the same day.
What was the lowest SNKRDUNK asking price for Mew ex FUR?

Can I buy the English Mew ex 158/128 from Samurai Sword Tokyo?
No. We list the Japanese 30th CELEBRATION Booster Box that Mew ex FUR 135/103 is pulled from, and take single-card sourcing requests through Quick Order, but we do not sell the English product. English Mew ex 158/128 is sold by retailers in your own region.
