Mewtwo ex FUR 134/103: Pokemon 30th Celebration Card Guide

Mewtwo ex FUR 134/103: Pokemon 30th Celebration Card Guide

Mewtwo ex 134/103 is one of only two cards carrying Pokemon TCG’s FUR rarity, introduced in the Japanese 30th CELEBRATION (M6a) expansion. This guide covers the card in detail — its attacks, its non-FUR twin, where it sits in the set’s secret-rare numbering, and where comparable PSA 10 Mewtwo cards currently stand in our store.

M6a released in Japan on September 16, 2026, at ¥360 tax-in per pack and ¥7,200 for a 20-pack box. Every card fact below comes from the official 30th.pokemon-card.com product page and card database, or from Japanese/English aggregators cited individually; every yen figure that isn’t an official MSRP, one of our own store listings, or a dated SNKRDUNK release-day ask is explicitly marked as an unofficial market prediction.

We deal in Japanese Pokemon TCG singles and sealed product out of Tokyo, so the comparable PSA 10 Mewtwo cards further down — from the current MEGA era and the 25th-anniversary promo pack — are real cards, though as of this update all three are currently sold out with us.

Key Takeaways

Mewtwo ex 134/103 carries the FUR (Futuristic Rare) rarity, illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN, in the Japanese 30th CELEBRATION (M6a) set, released in Japan on September 16, 2026. It is compiled from official promotional images, not yet an official database entry. Only two FUR cards exist — this Mewtwo ex and Mew ex 135/103. A regular-art, non-FUR printing of the same Mewtwo ex is listed at 055/103 RR (illustrator 5ban Graphics). SNK-RANK’s unofficial 29 August 2026 prediction put FUR Mewtwo ex around ¥150,000 (~$974); the lowest release-day ask on SNKRDUNK was ¥17,999 (68 listings, September 16, 2026). All three of our PSA10 graded Mewtwo comparison singles, including PSA10 Mewtwo EX 25th 022/025 (update: currently sold out — restock requests via Quick Order), are sold out at the time of this update.

Updated September 16, 2026 — Release Day

  • Full card list: every card of the set with its official image, in number order — 30th CELEBRATION (M6a) card list (all 173 cards).
Leaks vs release day
  • Confirmed: the five secret rares that had never been pictured — Kommo-o AR 119, Ditto AR 121, Mewtwo ex SAR 128, Mew ex SAR 129, Gengar ex SAR 131 — surfaced at exactly the numbers PokeBeach had projected, with release-day listings (SNKRDUNK, September 16, 2026); the compiled 165-card structure held.
  • Confirmed: the “RGB Mew” — three secret Mew cards (R/RGB, G/RGB, B/RGB, by YOSHIROTTEN, outside the /103 run) were pulled from early-opened products and surfaced in a Pokémon TCG Live update on September 15, per PokeBeach; not in any official list, pull rate unknown.
  • Overshot: pre-release forecasts of ¥105,000+ for Mew ex FUR met a lowest release-day ask of ¥22,222 on SNKRDUNK (an asking price, not a sold price).

Mewtwo ex FUR 134/103: Card Details

Mewtwo ex 134/103 FUR, Pokemon TCG 30th Celebration (M6a)
Mewtwo ex 134/103, FUR — 30th CELEBRATION (M6a)

The official 30th.pokemon-card.com product page confirms 134/103 as a FUR (Futuristic Rare) Mewtwo ex, illustrated by graphic artist YOSHIROTTEN. As of September 16, 2026 the card is still compiled from official promotional images rather than a database entry — unlike the main 001–103 set and the Classic Collection, which the official card database published on September 9. Two attacks are listed in the Japanese card text (as transcribed by the SNK-LIST card aggregator, 29 August 2026, matching PokeBeach’s translation of the same card):

  • Photon Bullet — deals 50 damage to each of the opponent’s Pokemon ex. Weakness and Resistance aren’t applied to the Benched hits.
  • Psychic Force — 230 damage. Mewtwo ex can’t use an attack on your following turn.

HP and combat stats, per PokeBeach’s translation: HP230, Basic, Weakness Darkness ×2, Resistance Fighting −30, Retreat 2. Those figures were not confirmed as of the card’s original 30 August 2026 reveal and have since been filled in by PokeBeach’s 9 September translation, though the card itself remains outside the official database.

Release-Day Pricing Note

M6a released in Japan on September 16, 2026. Pre-release FUR Mewtwo ex predictions quoted before that date were not recorded transactions — see the dated release-day ask below for real, live marketplace data.

What Is FUR? Pokemon TCG’s Newest Rarity

Mew ex 135/103 FUR, Pokemon TCG 30th Celebration (M6a)
Mew ex 135/103, FUR — the only other FUR card in the set

FUR (Futuristic Rare) is brand new for the 30th CELEBRATION set. The official product page introduces it with the heading “A New Rarity: FUR Has Arrived!” and describes the Mewtwo ex and Mew ex cards, word for word, as: “cards with vivid visuals that evoke hope for an unknown future — FUR (Futuristic Rare) Mewtwo ex has arrived!”

Bulbapedia’s community wiki paraphrases FUR cards as displaying “vivid colours and lighting on the Pokemon, as well as 3D graphical elements”, all illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN. PokeBeach, quoting Pokemon’s own reveal, describes the artwork as “evocative of hope toward an unknown future”.

Only two FUR cards exist for M6a: this Mewtwo ex (134/103) and Mew ex (135/103) — covered in full in our separate Mew ex FUR 135/103 card guide. Neither is in the official card database as of September 16, 2026 — though all 32 secret rares in the block have now been seen. FUR-style Pikachu ex promos also exist (131/M-P and 132/M-P), but those come from the separate FUTURISTIC BOX product, not from M6a packs.

PokeBeach reported, from an official box opening shown before release, that a single 20-pack box contained exactly 1 FUR card — either this Mewtwo ex or the Mew ex, not both — alongside 20 of the 30 Pikachu, 2 Classic Collection cards, 4 AR and 1 SAR. The Pokémon Company has not published an official FUR pull rate, and one reported opening is not a rate; release-day openings are circulating online but none is a published pull rate, and this article does not quote them. We’re not going to guess a number here — we cover pull rates generally in our FUR rarity explainer.

The Non-FUR Twin: 055/103 RR

The FUR treatment isn’t the only printing of this Mewtwo ex in M6a. A regular-art version of the same card exists at 055/103 RR, listed in the official card database and illustrated by 5ban Graphics — same character, with a regular RR version also in the set, but in the standard rare frame instead of the FUR treatment.

There is also a Special Art Rare version at 128/103 — the SAR block runs 124–133; 128 (Mewtwo ex), along with 129 (Mew ex) and 131 (Gengar ex), surfaced in release-day listings (SNKRDUNK, September 16, 2026). Its lowest release-day ask was ¥5,987; illustrators for the SAR block remain unpublished.

The Mew ex side of M6a has the same structure: a regular-art 057/103 RR (official, illustrator aky CG Works) alongside the FUR 135/103 and the SAR at 129/103 (also now seen), covered in the sibling Mew ex guide linked above.

Comparable PSA 10 Mewtwo Cards

M6a’s FUR cards now have a dated release-day market ask (below), but PSA 10 Mewtwo cards from other 30th- and 25th-anniversary-era Japanese sets remain a useful benchmark for what a graded chase-rarity Mewtwo has commanded in this market — as of this update, all three are sold out with us:

For scale: SNK-RANK’s unofficial 29 August 2026 prediction for FUR Mewtwo ex was roughly ¥150,000 (~$974) — well above any of the three comparison cards above. The actual lowest release-day ask on SNKRDUNK was ¥17,999 (68 listings, September 16, 2026), far below the pre-release forecast; release-day asks are live marketplace listings, not confirmed sales. For the sealed-box side of the same story: on SNKRDUNK the lowest asking price for a sealed M6a box fell from ¥47,200 on September 1 to ¥28,200 on September 10 and ¥17,500 on release day, September 16, 2026 — still about 2.4× the ¥7,200 MSRP, as listings multiplied into release.

M6a Set Release Details

The official product page confirmed a Japan release date of September 16, 2026 (Wednesday), and the set released worldwide simultaneously as scheduled, packs at ¥360 tax-in with 6 foil cards per pack (random contents), and boxes of 20 packs at ¥7,200. Every pack guarantees one of the 30 illustrator Pikachu cards and one basic Energy card, with the Energy card YOSHIROTTEN-designed.

Japan’s official Pokemon Center Online ran its own additional purchase lottery for the M6a box, with an entry window of 28–31 August 2026 (12:00–16:59 JST); results were announced September 4, 2026. The additional PCO window for the FUTURISTIC BOX and the Card Set (not the booster box) ran September 11, 16:00 JST – September 16, 16:59 JST (results due September 30), and the physical-store lottery closed September 11 (results September 14). That lottery is run by Pokemon Center Online directly and isn’t something we administer.

The base set runs to 103 numbered cards, with trainers 101–103 (Ultra Ball, Poké Pad, Switch); everything from 104 upward is a secret-rare-style card outside the base count. Pull rates for those secret slots — FUR included — are officially unpublished.

Where FUR Sits in the Secret-Rare Numbering

M6a’s secret numbering is fully mapped: AR cards run 104–123 (20 cards, including Lapras, Drifloon, Lycanroc and Hisuian Zorua; all now seen), then SAR at 124–133 (10 cards, including the Pikachu ex Day/Night pair at 126–127; all now seen), then FUR at 134–135 — Mewtwo ex and Mew ex, the two cards this guide and its sibling cover. Above that sit the 30-card Classic Collection historic reprints at 136–165, all 30 confirmed in the official card list (151 and 152 are the two halves of Darkrai & Cresselia LEGEND and share one database entry) (the highest, 165/103, is a reprinted Magikarp — the final numbered card, with 165 numbered cards plus 8 Basic Energy making 173 in all; PokeBeach’s headline figure is 176).

FUR, in other words, occupies its own two-card slot directly above the SAR block and below the historic reprint run — consistent with Pokemon’s framing of it as a genuinely new rarity tier rather than a variant of an existing one. For the general rarity ladder (AR, SAR, FUR, and how Japanese secret numbering compares to the English print run), see our FUR rarity explainer and our wider Japanese card rarity guide for graded buyers. Frequently Asked Questions

What is FUR (Futuristic Rare) in Pokemon TCG?

FUR is a brand-new rarity introduced in the Japanese 30th CELEBRATION (M6a) set. Only two cards carry it: Mewtwo ex 134/103 and Mew ex 135/103, both illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN with vivid, futuristic-themed artwork per Pokemon’s official description. Neither is in the official card database as of September 16, 2026 — both are compiled from official promotional images, though all 32 secret rares in the block have now been seen.

How rare is the Mewtwo ex FUR card from 30th Celebration?

The exact pull rate is officially unpublished. PokeBeach reported, from a box opening shown before release, that one 20-pack box contained exactly 1 FUR card (either this Mewtwo ex or the Mew ex) — not an official rate. It sits in its own numbering block (134-135) above the SAR block (124-133) and below the 30-card Classic Collection reprint run (136-165).

Is there a non-FUR version of Mewtwo ex 134/103?

Yes. A regular-art printing of the same Mewtwo ex is listed at 055/103 RR, illustrated by 5ban Graphics. A Special Art Rare version exists at 128/103, which surfaced in release-day listings (SNKRDUNK, September 16, 2026) with a ¥5,987 lowest ask.

When did the 30th Celebration (M6a) set release in Japan?

September 16, 2026 (Wednesday) — the set released worldwide simultaneously as scheduled, per Pokemon’s official product page. Packs are ¥360 tax-in; boxes of 20 packs are ¥7,200.

Can I buy the Mewtwo ex FUR card now?

Not as a single yet — M6a has released, but we don’t have a FUR Mewtwo ex single in stock. Our sealed booster box is a live pre-order at Sealed ¥25,000 (~$162); the No Shrink option is sold out at the time of this update. All three PSA 10 graded Mewtwo comparison cards are currently sold out.
