30th CELEBRATION (M6a) is a released Japanese set. Mewtwo ex SAR 128/103 is the Special Art Rare print of Mewtwo ex in it, and it was among the last five cards in the 32-strong AR/SAR/FUR block to surface.
The regular print carries the full attack text that the SAR shares, and the set’s Futuristic Rare is a third Mewtwo ex print.

What Is Mewtwo ex SAR 128/103?
Mewtwo ex SAR 128/103 is a Special Art Rare print in M6a 30th CELEBRATION. It is the full-art version of the regular Mewtwo ex, which is illustrated by 5ban Graphics and shares its card text with the SAR.
128/103 sits in the SAR block (124–133), one of ten Special Art Rares — each a full-art version of one of the set’s ten Pokémon ex — compiled from official images and PokeBeach’s list. Mewtwo ex SAR was among the five secret rares — alongside Kommo-o AR 119, Ditto AR 121, Mew ex SAR 129 and Gengar ex SAR 131 — that were the last of the block to be shown; they surfaced in SNKRDUNK listings with card images.
Card Details: Photon Bullets and Psychic Powers
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Card number | 128/103 (SAR); regular print at 055/103 |
| JP name | ミュウツーex |
| Type | Psychic |
| HP | 230 |
| Stage | Basic |
| Source | SAR compiled from official images; regular print from the official database |
The card text, per PokeBeach’s September 9, 2026 translation and shared by both the regular print and the SAR version:
- [P] Photon Bullets — This attack does 50 damage to each of your opponent’s Pokémon ex. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
- [P][P][P] Psychic Powers — 230 damage. During your next turn, this Pokémon can’t use attacks.
As a Pokémon ex, when Mewtwo ex is Knocked Out, the opponent takes 2 Prize cards. Weakness is Darkness (×2), Resistance is Fighting (−30), and retreat cost is 2 Energy. Photon Bullets is a spread attack aimed at opposing ex Pokémon, while Psychic Powers is a heavy 230-damage swing that locks the attacker out for a turn afterward.
Illustrator Credits: Regular Print, SAR and FUR
As of September 16, 2026, the official card database credited no illustrator for the AR and SAR prints (104–133); the two FUR cards were the exception. What is confirmed is the illustrator of the regular print this SAR is based on: 5ban Graphics, credited in the official database.
Because the SAR shares its card text and Pokémon identity with the regular print, how Mewtwo ex plays does not depend on which of the prints you hold.
The FUR Sibling: Mewtwo ex Futuristic Rare
Mewtwo ex has a third print in this set beyond the regular card and the SAR: a Futuristic Rare at 134/103, one of only two FUR cards in 30th CELEBRATION (the other is Mew ex FUR 135/103). The two FUR cards are officially credited, both to YOSHIROTTEN.
All three prints — the regular card, the SAR and the FUR — share the same Photon Bullets and Psychic Powers card text; only the artwork and rarity differ. For a dedicated look at the FUR print, see our Mewtwo ex FUR guide. For the full picture of every Mewtwo card across the set, see our every Mewtwo card list.
How 30th Celebration’s Full Numbering Breaks Down
The SAR block is part of the wider secret-rare range that is compiled rather than official. The database itself covers the main set 001–103, the Classic Collection 136–165 and the eight Basic Energy; the AR/SAR/FUR block 104–135 is compiled from official images and PokeBeach’s September 9 list.
| Block | Numbers | Count | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main set | 001–103 | 103 | Official database |
| AR (Art Rare) | 104–123 | 20 | Compiled |
| SAR (Special Art Rare) | 124–133 | 10 | Compiled (incl. 128) |
| FUR (Futuristic Rare) | 134–135 | 2 | Compiled; YOSHIROTTEN |
| Classic Collection | 136–165 | 30 | Official database (no regulation letter; not usable in the current Standard regulation per the official page) |
Total: 165 numbered cards plus eight Basic Energy (173 in all; PokeBeach’s headline figure is 176). For the full picture of the block Mewtwo ex SAR belongs to, see our 30th Celebration SAR list.
