Charizard VSTAR RRR 014/172 (S12a) and RRR 015/100 (S9)
Both RRR prints are credited to 5ban Graphics. On SNKRDUNK the lowest ask for the S12a 014/172, October 7, 2026, was ¥1,000 (~$6) raw and ¥8,500 (~$55) among three PSA 10 listings, which is a thin sample. We do not list either RRR as PSA 10.
Charizard VSTAR HR 118/100 (S9)
The Hyper Rare print carries the HR icon and a credit to 5ban Graphics. It is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥23,496 (~$153). On SNKRDUNK the lowest ask, October 7, 2026, was ¥8,000 (~$52) raw and ¥19,999 (~$130) among nine PSA 10 listings.
Charizard VSTAR SO 002/030 (Special Deck Set)
The database lists SO 002/030 with no rarity icon, credited to 5ban Graphics. Limitless names the product the Special Deck Set Charizard VSTAR vs Rayquaza VMAX, while our listing prints it as Special Deck Set Lizardon VSTAR vs Rayquaza VSTAR. The set is not in the set list, so no release date is given. It is offered as a PSA 10 back order at ¥10,111 (~$66).
Charizard VSTAR in English: Which Print Matches Which
The comparison matters when a listing says only “Charizard VSTAR”, since the name covers several Japanese and English prints. Limitless TCG, as of October 7, 2026, lists four international prints with the same card text as the Japanese S12a SAR. The last column compares illustrator credits only; the artwork was not compared image to image.
| English print (Limitless) | Rarity label (Limitless) | Illustrator (Limitless) | Japanese database print with the same credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sword & Shield Promos #262 | Not given | KIYOTAKA OSHIYAMA | S12a 212/172 (the subject) |
| Brilliant Stars #18 | Triple Rare | 5ban Graphics | S12a 014/172, S9 015/100, S9 118/100, SO 002/030 |
| Brilliant Stars #174 | Rainbow Rare | 5ban Graphics | S12a 014/172, S9 015/100, S9 118/100, SO 002/030 |
| Crown Zenith #19 | Triple Rare | 5ban Graphics | S12a 014/172, S9 015/100, S9 118/100, SO 002/030 |
The only English print with the same illustrator as the Japanese SAR is the Sword & Shield Promos card #262, a promo and not a Crown Zenith secret. The set list gives Brilliant Stars as the English equivalent of Star Birth (S9) and Crown Zenith as that of VSTAR Universe (S12a). No English set date or English price is given.
What PSA 10 Means for This Card
The PSA scale and the meaning of a PSA 10 are in PSA Grading Scale Explained: What Does PSA 10 Mean on a Pokemon Card?; the label PSA uses for Japanese cards is in PSA Japan: Label, Service and What “Graded in Japan” Means.
For this card the useful check is the number on the slab: 212/172 for the SAR, 118/100 for the HR and 014/172 for the S12a RRR. A Charizard VSTAR slab alone does not say which of the five prints it holds. PSA population counts and label wording are not quoted. The label is visible on the slab photo of each product page, and the raw-card standard is in Pokemon Card Condition Guide: Raw vs PSA 10 (Japanese Cards).
Price Table: Our Listings and Dated SNKRDUNK Asks
The back orders are sourced to order, and each product page shows the current terms; the process is in Back Order a PSA 10 Card from Japan. The physical slab is a separate listing. The SNKRDUNK columns are the lowest ask on SNKRDUNK, October 7, 2026, for the raw card and for PSA 10 listings. Both are asking prices, not sales.
