The same set also carries a separate Common-tier Turtwig at 6/172, illustrated by Narumi Sato — a different illustration from the Art Rare above. That same Narumi Sato artwork appeared earlier as a Common in Star Birth (S9) at 6/100, released 14 January 2022, before VSTAR Universe’s 2 December 2022 release.

The Art Rare (206/172, illustrated by Kouki Saitou) is a separate illustration from the two Commons (S12a 6/172 and S9 6/100, both illustrated by Narumi Sato), which do share the same artwork as each other. Check the set code printed at the bottom of the card — S12a or S9 — and the number fraction to tell the two Commons apart.
The Sun & Moon Era
SM5S 5/66 & 6/66 — Ultra Sun commons
Ultra Sun (SM5S), released 8 December 2017, carries two separate Turtwig commons: 5/66, illustrated by Ken Sugimori, and 6/66, illustrated by OOYAMA.
The same era also produced a Turtwig print in the Ultra Force (SM5p) subset, card 1, illustrated by OOYAMA and released 19 January 2018, and one in the SMH GX Starter Decks subset, card 4, also illustrated by OOYAMA. Neither subset page displays a rarity symbol or a confirmed total card count, so we list the card number only.

BW7 1/70 & SV5K 3/71 — a decade apart
The earliest print among those with a confirmed release date is Plasma Gale (BW7) 1/70, a Common illustrated by Kouki Saitou and released 14 September 2012. Turtwig then reappears more than a decade later in Wild Force (SV5K) 3/71, a Common illustrated by OKACHEKE and released 26 January 2024. A further print sits in the Starter Decks 100 Battle Collection subset (MC), card 34, illustrated by OKACHEKE; that subset page does not display a rarity symbol or a confirmed total card count.

The 30th CELEBRATION Promo (2026)
Turtwig’s newest print sits in 30th CELEBRATION Card Set 4, one of nine trio sets built around each region’s starter Pokemon — this set pairs Turtwig with Chimchar and Piplup for the Sinnoh region. Card Set 4 is numbered 110/M-P for Turtwig, 111/M-P for Chimchar and 112/M-P for Piplup.
Each of the nine sets contains the same structure: 3 foil full-art promo cards for the trio, 2 booster packs of the “30th CELEBRATION” expansion (6 cards per pack), and 1 paper card stand that holds 3 cards. Card Set 4’s promo trio and package are shown below.
