Lapras appears twice in 30th CELEBRATION: once as an ordinary main-set card, and once as the Art Rare chase version, 106/103 in Japanese. On the English side, the same Art Rare printing carries a different number again: 131/128.
This guide sets the numbering, the rarity naming in each language, the card’s stats and the dated Japanese asking price side by side, so the two prints are easy to tell apart and easy to know where to actually buy. Figures below convert at ¥154/USD, approximate.
Lapras AR is 106/103 in Japanese and 131/128 in English — Bill’s Archive states 106/103 “is English #131/128.” Both sets released worldwide the same day, September 16, 2026. The Japanese card is pulled from the M6a 30th CELEBRATION Booster Box, which we list; we do not sell the English product.

The pairing comes from Bill’s Archive: Lapras AR at 106/103 “is English #131/128.” The same source’s block-wide statement lists nine AR/SAR numbers at once: “#106, #111, #113, #115, #120, #122, #126, #127 and #133 are #131, #136, #138, #139, #144, #145, #149, #150 and #156 in order” — 106 maps to 131 in that sequence, matching the individual pairing above.

AR Explained: The Rarity Name in Japanese and English

Lapras AR sits in the 104–123 numbering block, twenty Art Rare printings of main-set cards. PokeBeach’s report from an official box opening, shown before the set’s release, described a box’s secret-rare pulls in English as “4 Illustration Rares, 1 Special Illustration Rare, 1 Futuristic Rare” — PokeBeach’s “Illustration Rare” corresponds to the Japanese AR code, the tier that Lapras belongs to.
Bill’s Archive, the source behind the JP–EN number pairing above, uses a different convention: it does not label individual cards “IR,” and instead lists English #131 among a group it calls “Secret Rares above #128,” alongside cards like Drifloon (#136) and Lycanroc (#138). So English #131/128 is, in Bill’s Archive’s own terms, a Secret Rare; in PokeBeach’s box-opening terminology, it corresponds to the Illustration Rare slot. Both describe the same Japanese AR card; they simply use different English labels.
Lapras’s Stats and the Regular-Print Illustrator
| Field | Lapras (011/103 and 106/103) |
|---|---|
| Type / HP | Water, HP130 |
| Stage | Basic Pokemon |
| Attack 1 | [C] Ferry Across: search your deck for a Supporter card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle your deck |
| Attack 2 | [W][C][C] Ice Beam: 80 damage; flip a coin, if heads your opponent’s Active Pokemon is now Paralyzed |
| Weakness / Resistance | Metal (x2) / None |
| Retreat | 2 |
The AR 106/103 carries the same Water HP130 stat line, Ferry Across and Ice Beam attacks as the regular-print 011/103 — the AR treatment changes the artwork and number, not the game text. The regular print is credited to Masa. The AR illustrator for 106/103 itself is not published on the official database, which is standard for the AR and SAR tiers — only the two Futuristic Rares (134/135) carry a published illustrator credit.

Lapras AR is shown on the official 30th CELEBRATION product page — it is one of twelve numbers from the 104–135 block that display a card image there as of September 18, 2026. The block as a whole, including 106/103, remains outside the official card database, which continues to enumerate only the 001–103 main set, the Classic Collection and the Basic Energy.
Released the Same Day, Worldwide

30th CELEBRATION (M6a) released worldwide on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, with Japan and English markets on the same day. Both the Japanese Lapras AR (106/103) and the English Lapras (131/128) entered circulation on that date. The Japanese pack costs ¥360 for 6 foil cards, with one YOSHIROTTEN Basic Energy guaranteed in every pack; the English pack, per pokemon.com’s official showcase, holds five foil cards including one of 30 Pikachu plus one foil Basic Energy.
PokeBeach’s report from a box opening shown before release found one 20-pack box containing 4 Illustration Rares, 1 Special Illustration Rare and 1 Futuristic Rare — one reported opening, not a published pull rate, and not a guarantee for every box.

The Japanese Asking Price on SNKRDUNK
We have no dated marketplace figure for Lapras AR earlier than September 18, 2026 in this update. On that date, the lowest live asking price on SNKRDUNK was ¥1,000. This is a seller asking price, not a sale price, and it sits at the same level several other AR-block cards asked on the same date, including Lycanroc AR (113/103) and Hisuian Zorua AR (122/103), both also ¥1,000.
We do not have a dated marketplace figure for the English Lapras (131/128) in this update, and English 30th Celebration singles are not something we track for pricing — this comparison covers identification and buying routes, not English resale values.
Which Print to Buy

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Lapras AR 106/103 and English Lapras 131/128 the same card?
Bill’s Archive states 106/103 “is English #131/128.” They are separate physical prints in separate languages, sold through separate channels.
What does “AR” mean and does English use the same term?
AR is the Japanese Art Rare code. PokeBeach’s box-opening report translates this tier as “Illustration Rare” in English, while Bill’s Archive, the numbering source used for this pairing, groups the same English card into a broader “Secret Rares above #128” tier rather than using “IR” as a card-level label.
Who illustrated Lapras AR 106/103?
The AR illustrator is not published on the official database. The regular print, 011/103, is credited to Masa.
Is Lapras AR shown on the official 30th CELEBRATION site?
Yes. As of September 18, 2026 the official site shows a card image for 106/103, one of twelve numbers from the 104–135 block currently displayed there. The block as a whole is still not a separate entry in the official card database.
What was the SNKRDUNK asking price for Lapras AR?
¥1,000 on September 18, 2026, the lowest live seller ask on SNKRDUNK. This is an asking price, not a sale price, and we have no earlier dated figure for this specific card in our records.
Can I buy the English Lapras 131/128 from Samurai Sword Tokyo?
No. We list the Japanese 30th CELEBRATION Booster Box that Lapras AR 106/103 is pulled from, and take single-card sourcing requests through Quick Order, but we do not sell the English product.
